Why not just hide them?

It has been provided for free with every Cakewalk program for 15 years or so. Go to Utilities at the top, click on Cakewalk Plug-in Manager. It should be listed under DX Instruments. It may be possible that you deselected its download when you got CbB?

I'll give you $100 for it right now.

Before you delete all those projects that the sustain pedal didn't work and start all over, you can enter sustain in the Staff view. I know it's a poor substitute for pressing on a pedal while playing in real time, but it could save you some work. And welcome to the forum.

It works fine for me with the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab... and SONAR Home Studio 6 and Music Creator 6 and SONAR X3. How are you using it?

Welcome to the forum. This is among the most basic of questions when using MIDI. Like all software synthesizers, you insert the synth (I use the Insert menu at the top, but there are other ways), choose a sound set or instrument (I don't have SSD so I don't know how that's done there), Set the soft synth's output to a valid audio output, your sound card or audio interface or a bus that has its output set to a valid audio output. Using busses is the preferred method. Then, in a MIDI track, set its input to your drum machine and its output to SSD. That's the gist of it. Search forum member John Vere. He has lots of tutorials here that will certainly help you get started. Good luck!

Did you learn this by unplugging the interface and then plugging it back in, or just trusting that your interface manufacturer wrote a good driver?

Perhaps preparing for the advent of the new Sonar and the imminent death of Cakewalk by Bandlab?

You take that back!!!! No need to resort to name-calling.

Right-click the audio clip. Go to Process>Length. Set to desired length.

How are you adding the track or bus?

It might already be a groove clip?

Once that is done, you need to associate each MIDI channel in Instruments with the MX definition by clicking on the channel on the left, then MX on the right.

Click Define. Click Import, then navigate to where you installed the .ins file. Double-click it.
