X1 was a little on the buggy side, buyer beware. ?

I never used Studio 4 much but upgraded to 5 to get the sibilant reduction tool and now the plugin gets used.

While I think Izotope could do a better job of actually detailing all the modules you do get with the Elements plugins. It isn't difficult to watch a few videos of people using them. I purchased all of them individually over time (at more than $20 per plugin), and then also got full duplication by buying the Soundwide bundle which I might eventually sell off if we discover authorizing it doesn't give the Neutron 4 elements that is about to drop. That said for the asking price I can't think of a single legitimate competitor for that much power and functionality at a professional level for that much money. I would not consider them "demo" versions of the big brothers at all overall. Neutron is a solid channel strip Ozone has an excellent limiter and eq for finalizing duties and the stereoizer is pretty good RX Elements is in theory geared towards removal of noise from vocal tracks, but the "sample noise" function and some tweaking means you can use it on other sources too and is built from the legendary RX platform. Nectar Elements - this is the only one I shouldn't have purchased on its own as I never end up using it with other tools I have.

Deskew releases Gig Performer 4.5 - Plugin hosting software

Honeslty I just spent like 20 minutes simply registering all of them as the free bonus product. Downloading 33 synths at a total of 200 GB individually is not something I'm personally looking forward to. I'm not really complaining about it, but the website did seem to suggest 2 MAX would be provided if they hit the top tier. I honestly wonder why they don't just add it to everyones account that bought in during the GB period. Seems like the easiest thing to do for the company and the customer.

Yep, already had a ticket open. Thanks What seems to be the case as far as I can tell is the program no longer lets you store the vast majority of the content in an external drive spot (or if it does, needs some change to the folder contents to let it happen). But will see what support says.
-
The instructions list multiple paths yet the user is only able to select a single path, so which is it suposed to be? I setup my sound content on an external drive. I moved all the new download packs there also, and scanning the folder does nothing.
-
I bit the bullet and got 1.5 SE too, but even with a couple reauthorizations and 2 re-installs. All my content is gone even when I point the program to the content folder (which looked correct to begin with). Ugh.

Not really. As long as someone was interested in the Limited Time Bundle deal, then vouchers were still relevant if you wanted to get some stuff added to it. Yesterday anyone with a $75 voucher could have picked up The Soundwide bundle and 3 of the $31 plugins for $68. Or those with the $25 voucher could have gotten any one of the $31 plugins plus the $50 bundle for $56. If you hadn't already forked out the money for many of those plugins it seems pretty unlikely anyone would call this a dead deal. I paid $50 for Amek console alone about 2 months ago and it took a $50 voucher to do it. I expect we will see one of two things happen once the intro bundle is over. The min spend goes down, or the store will offer bigger ticket items from NI and Izotope and they keep the min spend but you suddenly have the opportunity to buy other manufacture's plugins at an unusual discount.
-
Depends on your taste and workflow. I use that thing on almost every track as it is about the only console strip that has usable and pretty flexible channels across the board coupled with low CPU usage. For me it is that plugin that gets used while all the others that came before it collect dust
-
Not me, I needed the Amek Console. Not having it was ruining my life previously. I paid the $50 so I could continue to sleep at night again. Sadly a month later it hit $31 ? But I'm also in the camp where now that I have everything on that list, anything seems like a want, and if it is more than $15 hard to justify it. But that isn't limited to PA plugins either though.
-
Depends on what you have. If someone doesn't have the Amek Console, BB MS, and SHMC class A....that is a fantastic deal. None of those have ever been "$15 plugins" So ~$23 / pop sounds pretty good Those of us that already have them paying at least the min $25-30 they took to get them (even with a $75 voucher that cost an arm and a leg to get to)...deal isn't so fantastic.
-
Is that even possible if you buy it using Jam Points (i.e. direclty from them?) I'm also dumbfounded that none of the kits are "Gretsch" based.
-
From what I've seen (no first hand experience yet) it is just the new kits (and a "2022 cymbal pack"). And likley that is why they call it 1.5 and not 2.0. I'm thinking about the $28 to get the new kits.
-
If I own the full Modo Drum "1" What happens if I buy Modo Drum 1.5 SE as that has the 3 new kits in it. Would my 1.5 suddenly have all the kits (so you can swap out kit pieces) or would I be left using 2 separate programs to access the drums (and no ability to swap in new kit pieces)? With this being IKM, don't want to make assumptions myself.

In most English speaking countries the act of kneeling is an act or sign of respect, obedience, loyalty, or servitude. It is only considered humiliating by the participant if they are being forced to kneel against their will. When one keels as a genuine act from the heart then one doesn't care what others think. Larry's post above suggests he acts as a servant king (nominated by the people no less)...and that is the type of king that deserves a kneel/bow, IMO.

PA_EXT Embody ⚡️ Immerse Virtual Studio (Alan Meyerson)
Brian Walton replied to cclarry's topic in Deals
So it stops working all together after 10 years? Most people appreciate the 10 years of upgrades, but software suddenly no longer working (even with an older installer) tends to be the turn off. -
This is pretty normal. It was always just for plugins, and my first thought was that means Gig Performer is out. But PA seem to occasionally let something slip through the cracks when a deal goes live only to catch it after orders roll in. Gig Performer 4 hit $30 for a limited time at least 2 times now and those with higher tier vouchers have also been able to grab it for about $30 on other occasions. And it hasn't even been out for all that long either. I'd imagine it might happen again one day. Between voucher stacking, dynamic discounts, and random flukes good things happen to those who keep alert and pounce quickly.
-
Nice, I did miss that! thanks.

Unless they changed something you need about 1k more in a lot less time than that. 3 days left, correct?

I think this thing sounds great. My main complaints are CPU usage and Size (it is about 2 GB for a plugin if my memory serves me). I'd agree some of the controls are a bit fiddly (turning modules on/off) then controlling dials that change based on the setting. My PC is only powerful enough to run it on the master or during mastering, but it does get some use as it does impart some amazing flavor.
-
While I agree with this idea on paper, in practice I'd say there is a component of randomization in all my final tweaks. Of course I ultimatly choose which version I think sounds better, but as it relates to something like TMT which is rather subtle there are certainly things that I add to and tweak almost randomly in a master bus or mastering chain that create even more variation by nearly random controls. Tools that add flavor where I might put it on a track, tweak some knobs and then you A/B with the on-off to see if you like the results more than before. I don't see the TMT randomization as any different than that process. My ears certainly are not good enough to eq with two different eqs bilindly to get the exact same end result that would phase cancel each other without some serious A/B during the process. Thus I think there is an element of randomization even when I think I know what I'm doing or am after. In the example specified of giving a client 2-3 mixes where the only thing you change is TMT (many clients want to hear more than a single option), the question in many respects is if that TMT variation is even noticable enough for a client to say they strongly prefer mix "A" over an alternate. That would be pretty interesting if Brainworx actually did a real world study on it to see if cients actually care about those differences, vs say putting BlackBox MS on the master vs not.
