If you eat too much of this $hit ... you get what you deserve ...

I believe there is only one way to save the planet. Less people. I can't, and shouldn't go in to detail here on a music only related forum, but if you read between the lines (or headlines) and follow the agenda's being thrust upon our youth, the powers that be are attempting to fix it as we speak while still maintaining their power. Music, gov., relig., none of it will save the planet. Only going back to a natural state with less intrusion by humans will save the planet. And it doesn't actually need saving. It will take care of itself one way or the other by naturally disastrous means. We're just a tiny blip of an inconvenience in the eyes of the planet. It's been through far worse naturally and survived. Even thrived. That said, while we're here, absolutely music can make the world a much better place. But it can't save it, sadly. Just my thoughts on it. I know music has certainly saved my life.

SD3 is all I've ever used. That and some free samples someone posted on the Presonus Exchange that worked really well with their built in sampler thingy. They had a great community over there until they locked it down, went mod-poo-crazy, and drove everyone away. Crickets now. I think they're down to 1 cricket actually. I see they even deleted their version of Ed's random thoughts thread. It was larger than Ed's here. They simply deleted the entire 'coffee house' type area. Anyway ... the samples in SD3 are as real and good as any I've ever heard. And I can manipulate midi enough to make them sound real-ish. I struggle with drums and bass to be honest. My drums are always linear no matter how hard I try and my bass skills suck. Just being honest. My favorite I always use in SD3 is Groovy Kit Brushes iirc. I've used it so much I have the frequency memorized that produces feedback from the snare mic.

You keed, but that's all I've ever used. That and the acoustic bass in TTS-1. It's really good. *deleted the rest of my drivle.* They may be old but those SI instruments are very usable. Except for the drums one. That's kind of cheesy IMHO. But the keys, strings, and bass are very usable. And save you hundreds if not thousands in wasted money on sample packs that you'll only ever use 1 or 2 presets of.

I just saw a limited edition Tony Iommi SG. You could even order a special left handed version. ???????????????

Jenny because it's bass number 8,675,309? ???

Regarding the price and the headphones, I was joking about the state of your state. I like the head on that. I couldn't see the 4th tuner on the other side. I really like that look. Our post orders got rearranged, that's why I asked how did you do that. I think you're getting a great deal on a great bass. That's a good idea about the luthier. The main thing I've noticed on guitars that sit that long is the truss rods seize and can no longer be adjusted. That can be a major headache. I have several that buzz during certain times of the year and they can't be adjusted anymore without major surgery. I'm in the middle of trying to remember how to quantize an audio bass track off the transients of an audio kick drum track in S1-V5. Grrr. I actually wrote a tutorial on how to do this years ago and now I can't find the thread on their archived forum. So much for thinking, "Oh, I'll just post this here in case I ever need to review it.". ?

Wow! How did you do that? LOL! Hmmm .... *rUbBiNg My ChIn*

P.S. ... why am I only seeing 3 tuners in the photo?

I dunno. No matter what they call it, I play the less conventional way. And it sucks. It's impossible to find a decent lefty local. None of them will invest in having one around yet I see overpriced Gibson's and USA Fenders out the wazoo everywhere. And they are there for months, if not years. *deleted* Never mind. Cryin' won't help me and prayin' won't do me no good. You righty's have it so good.

What I'd do is go grab one that's under $900 off the rack at G.C. and sell it online. That's probably where he got this one. That should cover most of your cost unless you can talk him down. Use headphones and tell him the pots crackle, the jack crackles, it needs new strings, and the bridge is rusty. ??

I was watching an Unknown Hinson interview. I love that man. He's a hillbilly rockabilly vampire. LOL! He said he is left handed but his dad made him switch to playing a right handed guitar because his fretting hand was the stronger hand ... hence my point about so called lefty guitars actually being right handed and vice versa.

I used to fix blown PA speakers between sets with red glitter fingernail polish and some of that surgical gauze wrap. I used to use that red glitter fingernail polish for a lot of work related stuff like that. Cheaper and more effective than Loctite. Wow! I spelled it right the first time according to the spellchecker! I know I just set myself up there but it's true so go 'head. I can take it. ? And now, if you'll pardon me, after having several things rammed in that general vicinity this week, I have to go get one final needle rammed in my butt at the doctors office in 20 minutes. Ta ta.

Well. My fingers have come uncrossed. No guitar. It seems Sweetwater has already started falling apart due to the buyout. So not only did I get screwed out of the software, twice, I got screwed out of the guitar, twice. LOL! It's ok though. I really don't get upset about material things like this but it is a lesson learned and I've added them to my list of 'Never Buy From Again'. This is the exact reason why I never buy guitars online. I've never, not once, had a good experience. I'd like to buy local, but nobody has the lefty gear I require and they all tell me they can't get it. Yet on the back of the broken guitar I received from Sweetwater it said Manufactured 8/2021. I guess you have to be one of the big boys to get anything, and even then chances are it will be messed up. Anyway, I need to get back out to my pond. My Bulrushes await me. I've cut and sold roughly 600 so far this year. I have 2 large orders pending and I just took another large order last night. Who would have ever thought? I cut, dry, and seal them by hand myself. Keeps me in shape. For what, I don't know. Later fella's. ???

Their their now. Just relaxe.

I lost over 7K. Almost 7.5K iirc. Oh well. It's not important. Nobody loved me there anyway. Sniffle sniffle. Here either. In fact I don't even know why I come here. Lol.

He once said he never met his father, but he knows he was named after him because it says so on his birth certificate ... "Father's Name: Unknown."

I know, but it's my only option. I live outside of town. I get my service from a radio tower that transmits it via line of site to a satellite on my house. I pay a year in advance so they give me a discount. It divides out to $100 a month if I pay a year in advance. But yeah, they are robbing us but we have no choice. The only reason I got it that cheap is my new neighbor knows the owner and he let it slip that he gave him a discount. He gets a 40/40 for $130 a month so they knocked mine down a little and made it work out to $100/Month. Elon Musk's satellite is supposed to be up and running here by the end of next month. That's 300Mb Up/Down I think. Not sure how much it costs. My neighbors signed up for it in advance. I'll wait to see how it works for them. He runs an IT business out of his barn.

Just curious, how fast is your connection? Mine is 30Mb Download/20Mb Upload. My ISP tells me I should be happy paying $130/Month and that I'm faster than 98% of the country.

Yay, got my new guitar today! Aw, it's dead! LOL! And to add insult to injury, no candy! This thing feels great and the Tele emulation portion of it is excellent. The Fishman acoustic modelling portion is dead. It's already being taken care of so it's all good. ??
