@Creative Sauce Good video but I'm a little disappointed. Since Cakewalk by BandLab includes a large assortment of effects, I'd prefer if your Cakewalk videos only used effects included with the DAW. I believe it is better to learn to use the tools on-hand versus ignoring them. While I appreciate the time and effort you spend discovering new effects and exposing us to them, that is not the stated purpose of the video and is off subject.

Interesting and informative tutorial. Thanks for sharing and hope you'll continue to create more Cakewalk by BandLab content.

Hi Mike, I'm enjoying learning from your videos. Your demonstration song, "Wonderland", is a good listen. I'm glad you're finding the Cakewalk by BandLab community is receptive to your offerings.

@Brian I don't know the answer to your question. as I don't own a MODX and haven't used the software. Perhaps you will answer your own question once your MODX arrives and you've spent some time becoming familiar with it and the software. I'm sure other forum members will be interested in the answer.

@James Argo Great idea! Your idea for the Cakewalk by BandLab DAW to transmit a midi "Local ON" command to each midi device during DAW close is a nice touch housekeeping task. Considerate touches like this is what elevates one product over the the rest of the pack.

Pieces of the wreckage washing ashore
Jim Fogle replied to slartabartfast's topic in The Coffee House
The TASCAM studio in a box featuring Sonar was still listed as an active product up until last week. I notice TASCAM moved it to their discontinued products sometime this week. https://tascam.com/us/product/track_factory_project/top -
It's an interesting video to watch. There is a lot to learn about Melodyne 4 because it can be used in many different ways. One comment I found interesting in a Celemony video, but the comment may not necessarily be in this video, is it's not natural for musicians to play to a click track. That's true but by making the statement Celemony seems to imply that developing the skill to play to a click track is a bad thing.

Nice looking video series so far Mike. I'm enjoying them and learning. That's what it's all about. My brother first alerted me to your videos while he was attempting to convert me from Cakewalk by Bandlab to PreSonus Studio One. While I didn't convert, I'm glad to see you've expanded your DAW palette to include Cakewalk by Bandlab. Welcome to the Cakewalk by Bandlab forum! I hope you will be a frequent contributor to the forum.

Hi Brian, Never hurts to be prepared. I hope you enjoy the MODX once it arrives. If you have not done so yet, in addition to the USB driver you may want to download and install "MODX Connect". Per Yamaha's website MODX Connect allows the keyboard to be installed as a VST3 plug-in. More information here: https://usa.yamaha.com/products/music_production/synthesizers/modx/apps.html#product-tabs MODX Connect is available with the USB driver downloads https://usa.yamaha.com/products/music_production/synthesizers/modx/downloads.html#product-tabs

How about your forum avatar? It would be distinctive!

Hi Mike, I don't know. I'd hate to mislead you with a guess. May I suggest you start another message post and ask that question? My workflow is different. I use an outboard digital recorder to record my tracks or use Band-in-a-Box to create audio tracks and import my audio tracks into Cakewalk for editing, mixing and effects processing. Getting back to your initial question and my questions, where do you hear sound coming from? What sound is missing, guitar or Cakewalk by Bandlab audio tracks?

Wow, what a storage space! That's like a huge Cakewalk / Sonar attic space. I've gotta' spend some time exploring.

I'm impressed with the Monroe Music website. If the site is any indication of Adam Monroe I'm very impressed. The site does not collect your e-mail address or require registration prior to downloading the freebies. The site has virtual instruments as well as effects. Prices are exceptionally inexpensive.

Nice backing track. I really enjoy hearing your use of the Jam Orgin Midi Guitar 2 plugin. This is a great example demonstrating how well the plugin works. Side question, I'm trying to figure out what web site offers the weekly backing tracks. I believe it is TDPRI.com, is that correct? https://www.tdpri.com/

The idea of a beginner's lens or screen set is a good idea in my opinion. One idea I think worth deeper investigation is lens based on experience level and screen sets by function. By that I mean different lens for beginner, apprentice, journeyman, craftsman, master and user lens with each lens adding more features. Each lens would have 10 customizable screen sets like present with the defaults based on daw centrist functions like (1) Audio Tracking (2) Midi 2 Audio (3) Loops (4) Editing (5) Mixing (6) Mastering (7) Distribution and user screen sets.

@Chris Boshuizen, Great catch. I'm glad you figured out a way to reproduce the glitch and video it. This is the kind of thing that can drive a person batty when you're in the mood to get something done and then something like this happens. May I make two suggestions? First click on the support request link in my signature line and submit a formal bug report to the developers. While the developers are pretty good about visiting the forum I'd hate for this glitch to slip by because they failed to see this message thread. Second include computer information like cpu, ram, operating system, audio interface or motherboard audio device and graphics.

That link didn't work for me. The link circles back to this message thread. If it helps, I've made the same kind of mistake many, many times! @Chuck E Baby Here is a YouTube video that details how to use "Fit Improvisation". Perhaps this is what you meant to link to? https://youtu.be/MnAqjtXglOQ

@SvenGreat question that I unfortunately don't know the answer to. May I suggest you repost the question in the Cakewalk by Bandlab Q&A forum section. More eyes will see the post and you'll have a better chance of receiving an accurate answer. A link is below. If it turns out the answer is no then this forum section is the appropriate place to suggest adding the feature. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/12-qa/

A 10 - 15 second zap in the microwave is almost as good as hot off the line. My wife likes Duncan Donut cake donuts. Me, gotta' be chocolate covered or regular Krispy Kreme glazed. -

When the red "HOT" sign is on you can watch the doughnut assembly line, use tongs to pick 'em up and put 'em in the box, pay and then walk out with the biggest smile on your face. Best smelling perfume you can buy for you or your car! They first started making them in Winston-Salem, North Carolina USA in 1939. -

I'm not sure how much US money 100 CAD is equal to since the country you reside in is not listed in your profile so, with that in mind ... The PreSonus Studio 24c hits all the bullet points you listed. It has It sells for about $150 US. https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-24c
