I've never had to do that with NI libraries. You can add folders in Kontakt. I've had them spread on 3 drives and no issues. This is where Kontakt rules.

Introducing Engine Audio, a new software brand powered by Best Service!

I avoid that rompler. It seems there is confusion when you have the Magix version and this one. I still haven't gotten over it when it was developed by Yellow Tools. -
LOL, my joke about Reaper is with all of the constant updates they never get it right. It's a joke, remember that.

That's because cancelling a sub on PayPal is easier. I wonder how many subs out there where people forget to cancel. They even have apps to track your subs.
-
It seems vendors also have these deals. I often buy from Best Service. I try to avoid the TT money pit but that Big Rock kit ruined that. Got it for a little over $30 at Best Service.

70% off EastWest Hollywood Orchestra, now $299 instead of $995:

They've done this for a long time as have many others. The reason I've never upgraded is the size of the library. Storage space isn't cheap and it's not real expensive either but I read that some avoid libraries because it means upgrading drives. A libraries that is around 1TB is gonna soak you into at $200 reputable 2TB SSD drive. -
This seems to be a trend in the software industry. You wonder who is next.

Shouldn't this have its own thread?

APD Deal: Hollywood Choirs Diamond by EastWest Sounds - 70% Off
kitekrazy1 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Odd to see an EW library on APD. -
Not me. With REs and VST there's too many choices. Not all DAWs are quick at scanning plugins. With over 1000 combos of VST it takes awhile. I can even make the quick loading Reaper come to a slight crawl.

One positive about the Yamaha take over is no longer needing a hardware dongle and license 3 machines. To me licensing is the #1 choice in buying software.

Meanwhile those of us loyal Image Line users live in fear our world will come tumbling down. I always liked Studio One because it was easier for people to transition from another DAW.
-
People also let them have it on Facebook.

I view something like this as a money pit once you take out the player that offers midi. I have plenty of these mallet libraries.
-
They've been selling their own libraries for some time and no their are not any substitute for what you have. Hopefully they don't get the bad idea of leaving out features labeled Pro which only becomes a pro version providing you sub. There's no shortage of perpetual DAWs out there.
-
Another all in one installer, Eventually these will outnumber my plugins.
-
I wrote this DAW off because there is no such thing as a loyalty upgrade.
-
The good thing though is it is an alliance and some developers left. If PA is gone that doesn't leave people left out but at a cost if you want a non PA edition.

Loopcloud sub changes to be announced no more FREE daily sounds to be claimed
kitekrazy1 replied to Vst0nE's topic in Deals
With all of the mailing lists I belong to there is never a shortage if getting loops for free. How many people get screwed out of something using subs vs. perpetual? The sub model is often all or nothing because they alter a deal without any sense of loyalty. This is happening with streaming services as well. You never know but maybe some of those who produce loops don't like their stuff given away. We've seen 2 developers who left PA because pf the race down to zero. -
There's always a risk of buying someone's code and hopefully retaining those people responsible for it. It's rare to have that same staff. There's a lot more turnover than we know when enshitifcation sets. This is nothing new under the sun.
