Agree. I can't see Reaper or FL making this decision. It would have been done by now by most developers. Most developers do have a subscription of some sort. If your market is relying on only professionals you are limiting resources. It's the hobbyist and small producer that keeps the market going.

I had the previous version and removed it. The previous version required java. With what is offered in Tracktion, FL, and other 3rd party apps this doesn't stack up to the competition.

The SW had issues with chipsets. It wouldn't run on nForce and I couldn't get it to run on Intel 900 series.

Yamaha SW1000XG - biggest waste of money ever. I was pretty ignorant about buying soundcards and thought it would compliment my Yamaha portable keyboard. Newer chipset made it obsolete during the XP era. Yamaha is the king of doorstops . All of my M-Audio (2) AP2496, AP192, FW410 are still working. Doorstops Tascam 822 PCI - made by Frontier Designs, nice low latency, go it free with Gigastudio. No 64 bit support. Terractec EWX2496 - one of the most underrated budget cards. Ran it on a W10 system using beta Vista 64 drivers while it never bluecreened Windows would report errors. I could probably pop it in my old Intel system and it would work. Echo Mia - I wonder why Echo stopped making audio interfaces.

They should discontinue the Suite and sell the rest as addons. BTW I think that same orchestra is the Sonivox stuff.

I've seen some Mac users go to Logic once they've discovered virtual instruments. Live Suite is the only DAW where I bought 2 licenses. It's great but so far they don't do great deals. Suite is a waste of money. I have one license of 10 Suite which will be my last Suite license. I never pay attention to the pro audio guys at a GC. It's really sad how the inventories have regressed.

Even though I have Live 10 if it came between the Cubase crossgrade to a Live 10 upgrade Cubase wins. Ableton just hasn't figured out how to compete in the DAW market yet. You could always wait for the 30% off.

Revert Windows instead. Also take a look at all of your Windows settings. Sometime those get changed back with a new version.

I don't know who brought up the iLok but mine came with a serial#.

This is always a great case for dongles. I tend to favor developers that don't have machine limits.

These days the only way you lose your serial number is to lose the internet. It's not difficult to back up emails and archive software.

There's a Session String Pro 2. I wonder if there's any reason to keep the 1st one.
