  1. True. They got on this one about a year ago. I could have made this myself.
  2. Wave is one of those who try to make more money off existing users while some need to make more off new users. It's odd at times when a new license costs less than the WUP. Gold/Maxx is a $119 WUP. Their loyalty is mixed. Nice deal on upgrades but so so on WUP. Even at half off I'm not sure I'd go for it. Their restrictions to one machine is getting outdated. I have iLok software you can use on 2 machines. Yup just what I want to do is use another USB port with a homemade dongle. The license friendly developers are Izotope, Melda, and IK. I never have to pay for an upgrade on Melda. Their plugins are rocket science but they don't crash and never get rejected by a DAW. They have the largest inventory and I imagine something like Waves Central is their only solution so far to handle it. Some had issues with older versions being removed or new plugins not recognized by a DAW.
  3. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/3201-Vengeance-Sound-VPS-Avenger-Synth For anyone who feels they never have enough synths.
  4. As far as dance genres Ghosthack doesn't come close to the tops on my list.
  5. 3 of my memories from NSS were the 30 + page of members boycotting Waves over their previous WUP. There was always the anti dongle threads where the biggest opponent of dongles was Eric Pershing of Spectrasonics. I copied one of his quotes. The last one was when they banned EW from their forums for giving Garry a hard time over wanting to create affordable libraries.
  6. https://www.waproduction.com/bundles/view/savage-future-bass-1 An even better deal if you want midi and presets. Somehow I got 40% off on this.
  7. Note to self - avoid Waves cash back.
  8. The opposite. It keeps the revenue flowing. If I stop paying then my discount is gone.
  9. Version is also important. I was on v5 until I got the latest Komplete.
  10. Too bad they don't offer the plan of a monthly payment for as long as you want. Groove3 and MPV cost me a total of $20 a month. Strange as it is I still buy from Udemy.
  11. So far they have done nothing but take up drive space or add more time to the plugin scan. I got them cheap because they were.....cheap. Stuff I like DrumXchanger, EQ Ranger Plus was a waste even at $4. Maybe that was their game all along is to get some cash on a bunch of plugins that are never going to be updated. I'm trying to break the get plugins for cheap cycle but that went out the window with Audio Assault.
  12. On the other side of things it will allow for more sloppy developers that abandon optimization. Some could still choke a 4ghz system.
  13. I want the FL one by Seamless but even at $24 it's a bit much for me. BTW some of these may already be on Udemy, MVP, or Groove 3. As for Reaper their own site has full indepth tutorials.
  14. "This merchant doesn't accept non-instant bank payments. To continue with this purchase, please link a card to your PayPal account." A good way to say sale cancelled.
  15. As if my life could use another drum vst. Easy pass.
  16. I could own everything for $400. I have them on 4 machines and don't have to pay for upgrades. Getting into the nitty gritty on how to use them to their fullest is another thing.
  17. Still the best free DAW out there. Two DAWs I have that I don't have to pay for seems to update more than the ones I've paid.
  18. Nothing like Korg VSTs making a 40 inch screen look like viewing on a laptop.
  19. You can still get stuff from MF for about $15.
  20. It's a phantom sale. Pretty much anything on my EP wishlist could have been bought a week ago. A new license is less than a WUP. Somewhere they have the loyalty thing confused.
  21. Pretty pointless to post without links. See how Larry does it.
