  1. I have just about Amplitube everything and don't need any more confusion. IK's licensing beat this as well.
  2. I should have changed it to ST Sounds. So what are your favorite ST sounds. I remember back when there was a thing for ST called Sonic Synth. It was decent.
  3. The driver was also updated recently. This is the only audio device with this behavior.
  4. FM8 and Massive - these are far from 1 trick ponies.
  5. Any issues. Odd on one system opening a DAW and my Steinberg UR22 tries to install the driver again. Hasn't broke the network yet. It's pretty sad these Windows updates take up a lot of drive space. A 250GB OS drive is pushing the limits. I decided to back up both systems with Acronis. I've never had an issue with Windows restoring the previous version. I wonder what other things they reset without me checking. They always reset the password protection sharing.
  6. Sometimes I think I should remove it altogether since I don't use it and the 18gb of space it uses.
  7. Sample developers still use bloat as a selling point. PC games are pushing the extremes. Plus Windows is full of bloat if you do drive images.
  8. Is it wrong to own a LP Studio and not play it every day. I also have a Music Man Sub 5 which I do believe is a collectors now. It was MM attempt to make affordable USA products.
  9. That's because a majority of Music Radar's audience is in Europe. There's a larger base of EDM and Mac users. FL and Live will always be in the top 5. Once you get into that Mixcraft food chain I've only paid $29 for an upgrade. I know of some who flocked from Acid Pro was Sonay wasn't developing it anymore. I tend to look at licensing as a major factor. I'm not surprised where Studio One is #2. I've been on other forums where they ditched Cubase. If I was just starting in this Bandlab, hands down. The bundled effects are no slouch. Few DAWs have a midi player. My favorite thing is to audition midi files and synth patches at the same time. I often wonder what the owner of Bandlab is doing. They own Music Tech and surprised this app in not on the DVD, or do I see any promotions.
  10. People treat them like religions. Once offended over their choice of DAW they start jihad. It's as bad as a Linux distro forum.
  11. Bitwig is like a subscription. I got the free CM version and I just don't care for it. I also look at the long term cost of having a DAW.
  12. Yes. It caters to the EMD crowd. If the poll were best DAWs for film it wouldn't be up there. I switched to FL when Sonar's GUI was getting cluttered and it was a very different way of doing things. The only Sonar licensed I skipped was 6. When one tries FL's workflow it's not easy after using linear DAWs. I think for a DAW that is free and PC only, #8 is pretty good. Most free DAWs have a history of being limited or totally sucks (PT Free). If I go broke Bandlab and FL are the only two I could use.
  13. I use to have 9 electrics and I'm not really a guitar player. I once met a guy who had 16 tubas and his wife made him get rid of 3.
  14. I like the multi format. One word of warning is if you install all formats you really bloat your drives. When I got the everything bundle I installed Live packs, Battery, Kontakt, and Reason.
  15. https://www.highlifesamples.com/product/vocal-hook-feat-steve-howard/ Check these as well. https://www.highlifesamples.com/product-category/special-offers/
  16. Voyetra DOP was my first DAW. Too bad they got out of the DAW business.
  17. https://www.musicradar.com/news/the-best-daws-2020-the-best-music-production-software-for-pc-and-mac Definitely #1 in best free DAW of the century. This is always the poll where some DAW users get butthurt and suffer insecurity issues. I think we are just happy the Sonar lives and its still developed. Meanwhile FL is still the king and I agree. Odd that I got introduced to FL from my Sonar Home Studio 2002 disk.
  18. These freebies seem to go down hill as of late.
  19. The soundpacks always make it tempting but I have too many synths as it is.
  20. It shows up in both of my accounts.
  21. They gotta make these since the emergence of the SSD market. These would be great for archiving. I'm sure I could come close to filling half of these. PC games are reaching 100GB. Plus those bloated sample libraries, loops, and don't forget those gluttonous Windows OS backups. The only problem with these is if a platter goes bad might as well ditch the whole thing. I still have more confidence in the longevity of a HDD over a SSD.
  22. I never "mess" with them to find out how ignorant they are. It's not a good place to work. It would be a toss up working for them or a carnival if death is not the option. I guess it only attracts people because there isn't a strict dress code. I do my research even before buying from the knowledgeable people from Sweetwater. I know what it's like to have people try to test you knowledge. I had 13 years of optical experience and moved from the lab to the retail floor. (hated it) So this guy asks me about the density of lenses. (no such thing) I said "you mean the refractive index?" He said impolitely, "Forget about it". I really can't stand working anything retail because they are willing to take anyone's money no matter how bad a consumer treats the staff. The customer entitlement mentality was created by companies. They expect two things. 1) Company idolatry. 2) Take anyone's money despite how they treat you. There is a fine line these days as most employers can be reluctant to hire kids these days because they think they can treat anyone like their public school teachers.
  23. Did anyone get their Focusrite/Novation email for Serato Sample LE?
