  1. PCI-Express 3.0 x4 - what does that mean? Wouldn't you lose 2 sata ports installing this?
  2. I find it odd that presets exist for pattern generators and originally $145.
  3. I should have avoided this thread since I'm a sucker for these. Bought! This was also the worst way of downloading those files. Shame on you Loot Audio.
  4. I removed all traces of UVI. I never used the stuff I had and gained 18gb of space to acquire more stuff I will probably ever use.
  5. I wish. SSD drive prices are higher for anything over 500gb.
  6. The website now has video tutorials. The guy that did them also did them for Groove3.
  7. Not so much anymore when you've collected a lot of software. The recent Kilohearts one is a rarity.
  8. I've come across many brands of loops and Magix is the only one I know that are not royalty free. I wasn't really impressed with Magix loops. Back when Acid was under Sonic Foundry then Sony there was some really impressive stuff and you don't see those anymore. I only buy stuff that comes also with midi, presets and one shots. I use to be a sucker during the holidays when ADSR would have 15 packs for $20. They aren't complete songs but maybe 30 sec. of music. They have their uses for a commercial or a DJ needs filler stuff. They can be frustrating to work with because you can't get them to sound the way you want. I often get them to study. I find the ones that are bloated to 3gb are not always as useful as one that are 700mb. After NI acquired Loop Loft it seems like they are forgotten. The Loop Loft weekly offer was a big thing in Deals.
  9. Competition for DAW dear is lame.
  10. Haven't used them yet. BTW the Konakt files are no compressed. I'm not sure if it will mess it up since all of them are WAVs.
  11. This is worth the price.
  12. No....It is a mistake. I checked on WD site.
  13. 3yr warranty? Is that a mistake by Newegg?
  14. What's the warranty on these things? I'd assume these are the "RME" of chairs. Buying one would get far more use than buying chairs for $100 over a time that claim 6-8 hours of daily use which is about right for small pets.
  15. It's an auto harp. I'd considered that a blessing.
  16. Overrated for me. It's like marketing has to replace the 808's. I guess users think those are really cool to make sounds from scratch but they will only impress your DAW buddies. Reason to me was always modular. Reaktor was an early modular environment. It seems modular may be more popular in the hardware environment.
  17. Everything bundle is still pricey and no discount off the presets you have.
  18. At what point does the reinventing the wheel of drum libraries stop for the end user? I could see getting the midis but I wouldn't know a tremdous difference if I used the basic Toontrack kit. I would notice if I ran those midis on a great metal kit.
  19. I have that one. Many of these you can load in a sampler and create pads.
  20. It would be OK if one was starting out and didn't have anything. Often those studio version have more than anyone needs.
  21. Another why did I buy this, I'm more into the electronic scene. I'm not a fan of big bloated drum packages and I have not downloaded all of my MDrummer library. I guess it was a $50 no brainer that no brains were used in this decision.
  22. I'm sure it is a marketing ploy. It's that manufactures that do the refurbishing. The price is not worth the risk.
  23. Fxpansion was acquired by ROLI which is a company heavily in debt. So I guess they passed it on to InMusic.
  24. I read the list of these changes and it's like trying to read a different language. Most of it is beyond my comprehension. I think it is the best DAW out there but so far I've never gotten deep into it.
