  1. My experience with UVI is basically none other than eating up 18GB of drive space. I should remove it since I never use any of it.
  2. There seems to be a lot of paranoia with software lately. This thread I would put on the level of Waves users fearing the WUP would be cancelled after they just shelled out $300.
  3. I think it was Itzak who broke a string and finished playing using the other strings.
  4. Mine is $149. Is it worth it for 4 new instruments?
  5. That's because they want to install another downloader.
  6. Everyone fears their software will turn to subscription. Many developers have offered them for some time. It is a way to get monthly income. But if more developers lean that way others will market the opposite. There use to be a dongle pandemic. On DAW forums we see "what if your DAW became sub only". Reason users fear that will happen. It's a unique DAW but I think it's held together by loyalists. I guess if the world went the way they fear, FL Studio, Reaper, and Bandlab would remain as options. Steinberg has said Cubase would not be a sub. There are no hints of Live becoming that way. There is the fear of NI going to a sub only. Outside of their VSTs most of their libraries are considered sub par for orchestra.
  7. On one system it is acting like Cubase. It doesn't shut down right away then when I open it up it gives me the extra screen because it didn't shut down properly.
  8. I'm a fan of bland GUIs. I open up Reaper as is. I still use the old skins of former Sony stuff. Live has that 8 bit look. The money spent on Melda "everything" took me out of the running of getting IK "everything".
  9. This is how I feel about SSD prices over 500mb.
  10. I own everything at $213. Now maybe I should use them and not buy anymore plugins.
  11. Maybe it's because people don't bite on the pricier deals.
  12. Probably because a lot of Mac systems no longer have the traditional USB ports.
  13. I'm wondering if Yamaha considers the eLicenser a sunken cost and they will be phased out. VSL is the other company I know of that requires that dongle. VSL also has the worst replacement policy out there.
  14. I wonder if Steinberg will allow 2 machines. Their DAW is one of the few tied to one machine unless you move the dongle. I have 3 USB elicensers. I wonder if the decision came from Yamaha who owns both Steinberg and eLicenser.
  15. For me this isn't a bad deal at $299. I don't have Modo Drums or the Hammond. I would get AT5 Max, the other ST4 sounds, Mixbox and the new reverb.
  16. https://www.frys.com/ I didn't realize the family started Fry's Food. There was a Frys as far as Downer's Grove, IL not far from Tiger Direct's HQ. Tiger Direct closed their 2 retail stores some time ago. Their customer service was terrible.
  17. Not sure this is even worth it anymore. 2 licenses of Gold/Maxx and slightly over $100 to WUP. Quality stuff hampered by a ridiculous licensing scheme. I seem to come across more users not buying or using Waves.
  18. You seem to be quite lucky. Mine is severe.
  19. I take 600mg at night. I also do some stretching and use a massager for feet. I was given Tylenol in the hospital and rehab which did nothing. For sometime I had burning in my hips which the gabby pills didn't stop. I also realized there is a lack of coordination and can lose balance on one foot.
  20. I still have to old authorization manager installed. If the product manager fails the other will work.
  21. Almond milk is only good for weight loss and fart free. I went back to low fat milk for smoothies because it has protein, Almond milk only has a gram of protein and one carb so it's not so great for a diabetic.
  22. I'm down to 182lbs. !0 years ago I was 280. 7 months later I' still trying to get back upper body strength and my abs are still weak. I have caffeine free diet Coke which taste good but I hardly touch it. I drink more flavored waters and decaf tea. Plus I drink a glass of red wine every other day. Most of my snacks are unsalted almonds and walnuts.
  23. One still has to have some knowledge of an instrument to make it sound authentic.
