Fxpansion was acquired by ROLI which is a company heavily in debt. So I guess they passed it on to InMusic.

I read the list of these changes and it's like trying to read a different language. Most of it is beyond my comprehension. I think it is the best DAW out there but so far I've never gotten deep into it.

I bought this only because it was a PA offering that wasn't an EQ or compressor.

I never buy a cup of coffee. I have enough K cups, ground, and whole bean. Just like this library I have enough to do the same thing. I also wouldn't pay 5.50 for a cup of coffee. Comparing DAW deals to food just doesn't make sense. Both can contribute to bloat but one is easier to delete.

It seems like a better alternative to Akai VIP.

Is it worth it to use mt $25 voucher even though I wouldn't use it to perform?

Tempting. Those Studio versions are enough from some users. I recommend the MP3 program.

I could save you all time. Music for wellness begins by not using a DAW. No more GAS but then again it just transfers to owning multiple instrument. My estate sale would think someone opened up a music store.

I prefer Kontakt libraries since you can install them on every machine that has Kontakt. UVI is like the only developer I know of that allows 3 iLok licenses.

That's what presets are for.

The upgrade still costs less than Live's Suite to Suite upgrade. You do get Soundforge and Spectral Layers. If they threw in Acid Pro I would probably jump at this. Their Independence Pro and virtual instruments is more of a turn off. I never installed their VIs in Acid Pro because the samples don't have the option to be on another drive.

Magix is a money pit when it comes to frequent upgrades.

Has anyone tried using a virtual machine for their DAW?

SW1000XG wouldn't even work on a P4 915 chipset. The DS2416 is far more forgiving. Those actually worked in nVidia chipsets. -
You get a thumbs down for NOT POSTING THE LINK! ?

I used some of mine on their audio interface about a year ago.

Lightweight. Mine is $322. Those are hard to use now since I have IK everything.

I have a SW1000XG that is basically useless and would fail on most motherboards. Running a box with W2000 and Sonar 2 would probably be a cool experience. W2000 is my favorite OS. If I could do it over again I would have never bought that card and got a Hammerfal for the same price and still be using it. One reason why I would never buy a Yamaha DAW product is they are good at doorstops because of lack of continued support. -
To me this is like being able to do your own oil changes but prefer to have someone else do it. Squires ad Epiphones are quality. I guess just buy those and change out the electronics.

The recent deal for $299 was good enough for me since I got AT5 Max, the rest of TRacks, and Modo Drums, and B3.
