  1. Mine is too busy buying unnecessary stuff to create something. Tracktion for me is like Cubase.....I don't really care for them. There is no legit reason. Tracktion can be a money pit with the more frequent paid upgrades and wanting you to buy their addons.
  2. Does this work as a stand alone? Older Waves versions did.
  3. I hope the presets are great for those of us too stupid or lazy to deal with compression.
  4. So is this that EQ to replace all EQs despite my habit of clicking the ones bundled in DAWs because they are right in front of you avoid the scrolling of 1000 plugins?
  5. I knew that Me too. I was trying to avoid....not another synth that I always fail. I'm surprised the Serum isn't really complicated. I was thinking of getting Codex as my free choice from Waves but passed. In the world of softsynths Waves tops them all in limited licensing.
  6. Glad to see this is now in English. I may prefer this over CM.
  7. My 3 machines with Serum and no WUP says not a chance in hell.
  8. Their licensing is flawed except for using an iLok. This is also why the universal installer can be flawed. Online deactivation seems to be broken. You can deactivate a machine that had the version they give away. Download the new installer and the previous license will still remain instead of the Studio version. When you click in the essential version to upgrade it will take you to their page to buy a license instead of entering a serial number. You also really can't change anything in the registry to fix it either. This is the second time I dealt with this. Support accused me of being rude despite their lack of literacy after telling me 7 times to do something after doing it 3 times. A DAW with ARA might sound great but DAW upgrades can break older versions of Melodyne and you hope either Celemony or DAW developers fix it . This happened when S1-4 came out and broke Melodyne 2. FL Studio and Live have something similar. I once ran an audio to midi conversion in Live and Melodyne and both had different results. One was not better over the other. A DAW bundled with Melodyne Essential is not really a bonus. I think I've collected more free licenses than the Izotope Elements.
  9. Either they messed up again or it was a consolation prize for my reply and Koby's reply but I did get another free plugin. This still doesn't put my in the Wave's fan club.
  10. I think of Spitfire and VSL as boutique libraries. For one who does not need to go crazy with orchestrations these are probably great value instead of wasting money on those cheap Sonivox libraries.
  11. Still miles above Waves.
  12. Looks like Koby is no longer an EW vendor.
  13. A new release of a Mellotron or 808's just never seem to make my Wow list at any price.
  14. The sad thing is since I stopped buying Waves Koby hasn't made any money from me lately except for the latest Melodyne offer. A sign of a plugin junkie/***** is if you dislike Waves and yet get their stuff when it's free. That may have to stop.
  15. After further review of the play...........Waves is still on my shit list. Sure I got my free plugin. For their sales - As you can see it was below $50 therefore did not qualify. With that said we will make a one-time exception and honor your request. From Koby - That's definitely an error at Waves end. Waves don't know and don't care how much you actually paid. They consider THEIR price for it. Probably a one-time glitch or a mistake by your specific support person. It never occurred to our buyers before, but if it will happen again I will sort it out with them. I did let Waves know if they thought they were doing me a favor, this incident has made me even more reluctant. The exception would be $29 WUP on my Gold/Maxx licenses.
  16. Always worth supporting a developer who has a lot of trust in the end user.
  17. Not in Live. They have their own.
  18. So since I bought it from EP they acted like this: As you can see it was below $50 therefore did not qualify. With that said we will make a one-time exception and honor your request. As you know EP gives a larger discount for members and beats the others. So now I'm discouraged on these offers to buy via 3rd party. They way it should be handled is after registering on Waves and it meets their price range you should get it right away. So it's like they did me a favor but it was I who did them a favor by buying into their lame licensing. Hopefully this is the final straw for me but I'm stupid. Try kicking that football again Charlie Brown. Maybe the whole thing could have been avoided if I checked my account to find out my main email blocked Waves,
  19. Melodyne may become a thing of the past since some DAWs have something similar,
  20. Right now I'm dealing with Waves over my free plugin. EP claims that I'm eligible according to the Waves pricing model. Part of the problem is my yahoo account blocks all Waves. Maybe the free plugin got blocked. This shouldn't be that much hassle since it was registered. I paid $46 from EP. If Waves denies it, that is bad for 3rd party vendors and will sour me relationship with Waves.
  21. I love this guy's channel. I remember him reviewing MTrubo Reverb and he said he's too stupid for it.
