Because of my hoarding I still use HDDs. I may get to the point of deleting stuff I don't use to replace the stuff I rarely use. SSD to pricey for me once they go over the 1TB range. I may have to get a sata controller and duct tape. I got the Century Brass bundle which adds another 100GB.

If you are into hoarding samples, every sample player format, going all in on SSDs would be pricey.

8dio if you have full Kontakt. That allows you to have the libraries on many systems The others require to use a dongle.

My go to place for EW use to be everyplugin but they no longer carry.

This is tempting. I really don't have space for any more libraries unless I start deleting those in Komplete or spread Kontakt libraries across multiple drives.

They were in serious financial trouble. They bought Cakewalk in hopes of gaining more income. People hadn't forget about the other software they sunk.

Your post verges on the no politics allowed. Fuel prices do raise the price of everything. I do wonder about the sales of instruments in general. We have a everything easy no work necessary culture and it's less hassle to buy some earbuds and listen to stuff on a phone. Some musicians like to blame it on DAWs but even that takes a lot of time and financial investment. I think we have become lazy. Were I live it's more evident in the wind instrument world. I guess Gibson has improved in their quality control.
