  1. My systems hate NI updates. They always fail. I still use the old Windows Install Cleanup which NI uses the same thing. The NI one keeps backups of the registry files. I don't need 16 of those. NI products install quote slow. You can download and install the library files quicker than the plugins to run them.
  2. Quotes from TheSteven In other words - if you bought it from us at sale (ie everyone) then no soup for you! Intro price (for new users) $169 is same price as Gig Performer from developer. PA didn't announce their 'deal' until after the developer's pre-release sale was over... and their (PA's) price is higher than the prerelease developer's price. Expected but still shitty There are other comments as well. The anger is with PA and not Deskew. You're theory does not always apply. Sometimes it makes more enemies than friends (using words like entitled) despite the irrationality of an end user. I don't think you have to defend yourself. I don't think anyone is at the point of "I'll never buy a Deskew product again". You were obviously more than fair for people buying direct from you. Unfortunately software often creates a lot of emotion and most of the time it's not rational. This drama needs to come to an end so we can go back to the Apple M1 thread.
  3. Yep. I'm no longer impressed with free stuff in any of the magazines.
  4. Like I said it's like Waves. I haven't had any DAWs be silent for the 1st half. Even Ableton is still updating 10.
  5. I guess these are pretty good. Most people probably blow them off since we think of their VIs.
  6. $249 if you have 8 track. They are like the Waves of DAWs with their WUP.
  7. That's odd since Vst 2 and Vst 3 are not in the same folders.
  8. So since I have GP3-PA the upgrade pricing in only through PA. That was the difference even though it is the same app. Does the non PA version authorize differently? Basically it's your own and not PA's?

    Windows 11?

I think I'll be confused and think I have a Mac.
  10. No doubt about that. Most people are unhappy after buying a plugin and 2 months later they have to pay for a new version. It's not so bad if there is still some support for the previous version and big fixes are only to buy the new version.
  11. Probably the same ones used by game developers.
  12. Don't get it. That's how you save money.
  13. and it being a free product........this use to be a nasty place in the old Sonar days with the fanboys
  14. and it will leave the other booze in the dust
  15. Impulse buy for me. I might think twice if ever bought again going through PA instead of direct. It's now about consumer trust. If it goes on sale or price drop will it be end of release?
  16. Such a lightweight.
  17. LOL I thought either that or a troll. I don't really care anymore. Many aren't happy as PA put your plugin in the race to zero. The intention was not buy it low in hopes of getting the next version free since few knew about it. At least you want to set yourself clear.
  18. You must be the same guy at Waves support that almost denied my free plugin because I bought it at EP for a less price than what fit in the Waves category.

  20. I wonder how many people's involvement in music is only listening says, "I really dig the sound of that tape machine"?
  21. I've done that by accident many times. I guess I would be prepared if I have at least 5 machines.
  22. That's because this one reeks of fanboy.
  23. I think most of us in this thread are here for the drama kinda like Vi-control.
  24. I built a 9900K for less than that. No soldering required. I just can't find myself entering the Apple monopoly no matter how great they are. I guess they learned their lesson by not allowing a user to make their own upgrades. Some of those cheese grater Macs are still in use.
