I bought their latest fx package when it was $99. I assume that's why mine was lower.

I did for 129. I needed more softsynth confusion in my life. That vocoder one is really interesting.

How many developers ever update previous versions? I assume they also do this since not everyone buys the collection.

Plugin Alliance 48 Hour Flash Sale - Brainworks Digital V3

Lots of knobs. I'm too stupid for this. -
Mine is $129. Is it worth it?

I have to wonder the wisdom of companies buying other software developers and not very knowledgeable of the DAW market. (we know this for sure) I guess this would be appealing to some pure fanboys and those looking in. The Reason+ was what Cakewalk use to be by promising free content every month. Meeting such deadlines can turn quantity over quality. Once you get past the paid shills and fanboys over + you do see some caution from others. Rent to rent to rent is not as good as rent to own. There is always this speculation of x company going subscription. I could see that as blessing when you avoid these and creativity begins when there are less options. People worry that NI would go sub but after many years of buying Komplete most of it is never used anyway. Unless you are making money off your DAW subs can be a financial pitfall. We look at a single product monthly value say like a DAW, then add more for a plugin subscription, sound content, ect. and you start to realize the monthly total can equal a utility payment. People say these are great ideas for people who can't pay upfront for software. I'm not so sure. Contentment is a hard thing to do. There is the sub frenzy and before that was the dongle frenzy. There are small developers who will market their products against such things. There are developers who vowed to never go sub. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I see DAWs like FL Studio, Reaper, and Bandlab, plugins like Melda looking more valuable every day.

Yep. No other DAW is like that. I don't buy RE's anymore since VST support. It's a lot of confusion picking and choosing in my Reason browser and the length of that list is like reading the complete volumes of Shakespeare. I like the uniqueness of Reason.
-
The sample based REs, samples can't be put on a separate drive unless you do some work arounds. If a DAW like Studio One or Live Suite force you to keep content on the OS drive it would be 19GB and 60+GB. I do believe Reason Suite takes up 18GB on my OS drive. All DAWs allow for separate folders for content. Reason is in the dark ages on many things DAW. I avoid the sample based REs.

Reason with all of their fancies is SO drive bloat. You still can't put instrument content on a separate drive.

Finale 95 still works on Windows.

Best Hardware for a PC Upgrade? - Help pls

I had the same issue with the original Oxygen 8. Some DAWs would see it and some not. I don't get it either. -
What other midis are recommended. This one is tempting.

LOL I thought the used midi market was a funny comment. I can't imagine people trying to sell their Toontrack midis. -
https://www.finalemusic.com/ You left the link out. That code will reduce it to $99 on the Finale upgrade. I still have v25. It was very bad at 64 bit. They also promised and backed out on loading PDF import. I really needed that function. I've been on the fence for a long time with Finale. You get use to the workflow and hard to change. I rarely use a notation editor. There's a lot more competition and Muse is free and also a paid for course on Udemy for Muse.

I always check inside Sylenth.

This would have been a "no you don't need more pianos but at this price what the heck" buy if it was for Kontakt. -

Digital is a license. We make the mistake thinking we own the software but we own the license. -
My drives say YES! Sure they sound great to us but the average person who is only a listener probably wouldn't be impressed like us. I can't imagine any criticism in a song even if a GM patch was used. We like to tell ourselves it's not true. I often use a DAW's built in piano to sketch.

Sounds funny and quite fictional. -

Physical vs. digital is not a good comparison. -
Anyone have the harp. I'm looking for an alternative instead of using the one bundled in Kontakt. I don't want to spend on an elaborate one the rarely gets used.
