  1. I wonder if they allow people to stack their sub. You can't with Reason.
  2. So how many of you would actually use this? I rarely use their stuff. It's not a quality issue it's just I never bother with it. Would you buy it for $56? Shouldn't this be in their new strings package?
  3. I'd be afraid to spend that kind of money on something I'm not sure about.
  4. Odd that they would send this to us who already have to current Pro version,
  5. Anyone else frustrated to the point to ask someone to post the missing zip file and we could all be done with it?
  6. that was the first thing I was thinking of.......... as one who cut down their loops folder to under 400gb....I'm trying not to add more.
  7. As much as some of us don't like Waves we rarely pass up one of their free products.
  8. So far the ones I've tested are disappointing. They are stems and not loops. Even the midi files are stems.
  9. I always thought going from Sonar to S1 was an easier transition,
  10. Most of my updates fail and then I have to use their reg tools or Windows Installer clean up to update.
  11. I made a project in Sonar 2/Gigastudio. I somehow lost the midi files and only have the tracks left. I'm trying to resurrect the midi from audio. The drawback is the notation editor just sucks. They also need to make the grid lines longer for measures when editing. I find most modern DAWs annoying with the docking, undocking. I know these were meant for laptop users and multiple screens. Sonar 2 was my favorite. I like watching the Creative Sauce guy on youtube for Cakewalk. I have all of the versions of Sonar but skipped 6.
  12. Not a fan of subs. I know there's the usual yada yada the people use for Waves that you don't have to upgrade and you can still use it but not everyone has that discipline. These have a long term cost compared to most DAWs.
  13. Those 2 are like apples and oranges. You have to login to FL Studio at times. A lot of software is like that. I like how Reason does it. One machine keeps the offline license and you can install it on other machines and you just login in to use it. What's nice is the login remembers and you don't have to type.
  14. I watch everything in CC these days. It also drives kids crazy who rarely read these days,
  15. Got those. Replacing them with SSDs is costly.
  16. Anyone remember when Cakewalk moved from Usenet to a web forum? It use to be a nasty place. I remember a guy got torched for saying he didn't like the GUI of Sonar 6 and was done with them. The reputation made ti KVR as one person made a statement, "they got a beatdown Sonar style".
  17. I'm at the opinion of those who can't rearrange their life to score the giveaways is they get like a real heavy discount like at least 75% on the missed giveaway. It seems like a win for both sides. I guess the only drawback is running out of serials. The reality is some have gotten free stuff more than they bought. I'm not saying this in jealousy as I happen to be one of those who have gotten free products more than I bought from some developers.
  18. Sounds like a great topic for the coffee house. Oddly enough the ones I see rewarding users are ones that have free lifetime updates.
  19. Not seeing this one at AAS or anywhere else.
