  1. They are heading in a much better direction. They are changing their licensing to compete with other DAWs. Yamaha is dropping elicenser because it just isn't as great as iLok. Cubase is owned by an industry giant.
  2. or get better at singing and less use of Melodyne, singing is not always about pitch I wonder if we have gotten too obsessive with pitch being in the exact center. There are zillions of recordings that existed before DAWs were vocals and wind instruments didn't hit the exact center. No matter how great a vocal take is we reference it through Melodyne which mean we use our eyes more than our ears. We do live in an age though were there are less talented singers.
  3. Soundpaint needs some soundthinner.
  4. Analog Orchestra is not on the list.
  5. Kinda curious on on that. Is it because of resolution? It appears that some complaint with larger 4K monitors/TVs is that some software looks tiny that don't have resizable GUIs.
  6. Not available in English yet.
  7. No matter how great they are I don't want to get trapped in Apple's Echo system. I like tinkering with PC hardware. I've been doing it for 20 years.
  8. I got a deal some time ago for $8 a month until I end it. I like it better than Groove3 and I don't know why. I also get charged monthly for Groove3. AS strange as it is I've grown to like Udemy more than both.
  9. You are almost as toxic as Larry when it comes to GAS. Trust me if this plugin was one of those $29 ones I would have bought it. Then I'd probably run it on a drum loop and then forget I have it.
  10. No recordings exist. It was also the first music subscription service.
  11. One mentioned in this article is the Telharmonium. Researching that is quite interesting.
  12. Thought about this but people do this in Serum.
  13. I couldn't get it to work in Reaper.
  14. I was never a fan of Mellotron and it was always an easy DIY for any sampler. I do like the IK one.
  15. Always ramble about a product and don't bother to post a link. It reminds of another forum I belong to. Oh wait they like to use acronyms.
  16. https://output.com/blog/best-usb-microphones Wouldn't these add more latency than plugging XLR into an audio interface?
  17. Same here but I've removed all of my HG instruments. I never really found them useful.
  18. Imagine if she said, now I don't need to borrow yours.
  19. I spent an evening batch compressing these to save disk space. Almost all of them are in WAV. Hypernode took a long tine and left a machine on all night to make sure it was done.
  20. POST OF THE WEEK! Then again the sub model removes the chance to pursue more stuff.
  21. There's a reason why franchise games like GTA, Assassins Creed, and CoD are popular is because you don't need a boutique system. I've pretty much stayed away from most modern games because of disk space and GPU requirements. Game developers would never make it in the DAW world. They would create an EQ that requires a 4ghz CPU and 12gb of disk space.
  22. Antone else fall for this? I did. I got a few new products out of this. I'm not a fan of their delivery. If you buy it you better download it right away.
  23. Big time. Just curious if the AAS packs would be our choice.
  24. Has anyone gotten better? I didn't go for those sample pack bundles as much as I use to from ASDR or Black Octopus. I haven't bought anything from Plugin Alliance lately. I got sucked into a Waves bundle upgrade.
  25. We will have to bump this. I do like Beat better than the other two. Back to topic.
