Ok. Something is up. I cannot login with NA2. It just says it will not start. But had no problems yesterday or last couple of weeks. Are they blocking access ? Anyone else with the issue ?

Good Grief that was a wild ride. I think NI will honour their own software (I saved £60 more than the summer of sound sale on the update to K14U - Installed!). But third party items look a bit sticky particularly U-he stuff with regards to his statement. I was sorely tempted but stuck to the one purchase.
-
Same here. My upgrade to K13U in the summersale last year was £170 ish. so foolish not to leap on this. And I was going to leave it this year !
-
NI are offering large discounts across the board. Juat picked up K14U update for £120 ! Some independant VI have been slashed along with keyboards. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/

I've RX7 Elements as well. And the standalone part is essential. I was tempted by this but rather like some of the recent iterations of Elements. They seem to be less expansive then expected (I know they are cut down versions but the new ones seem pared to the bone).

75% off IK Multimedia SampleTank 4, now $49.99 instead of $199:

I bought a boxed version of ST2.5XL years ago (that was a difficult interface!). And moving to Windows 10 trashed it. So installed ST3/4 CS and used the 2.5 samples in the new interface. Agree the new interface is poor. I use only a couple of sounds. And prefer the diversity and the ability to expand cheaply or for free of Kontakt. I'm not sure that even at this price it is a long term viable product. -
Don't forget the hundreds of free prestes at both KVR and Rekkerd. I have all the original DX/TX etc prestes in FM8 and it is easy to import/convert. https://rekkerd.org/patches/plug-in/fm7-fm8/ https://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&products[]=fm8-by-native-instruments&order=date

I've just updated my BBCSO Discover from 1.5.0 to 1.7.0 (thru the Spitfire portal). Cakewalk says it failed to load (80004002) and is visible in the vst scanner both VST3/2 and says the Vst 3 may not be loaded correctly. It loads fine in Studio One Artist and in Komplete Kontrol. Never had an issue with this before, So a bit stuck what to do as I use it a fair bit. Anyone else have an issue?

Same for me. Had to revert back to 16.07
-
Well that was weird. I d/loaded from 16.07 to 16.08. Ran the installer (VST3) it placed the folders into the Program Files/Common files /VST3 and every folder was empty. Tried a second time with same result. Reinstalled 16.07 and all was back. No idea why.

Yep. Works, and easy download (though a bit slow) -
Stefano has put up more free presets for Elements - Action Kit. You'll need the full version of Kontakt of course. D/load link is on the YT promo for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK3Q9oLOfjs

Presonus Drivers Not Recognized by Cakewalk
TracingArcs replied to fret walker's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I have the same Presonus Studio 26c. Running on W10. And never had a problem (I have disabled Realtek). I run Defender only (you don't need McAfeer!). As suggested. I would get rid of it and clean up your PC (Revo uninstaller free is good for this but you still will need to look for files left around with McAfee) -
Darkskyaudio have added a 5th set of free presets to the already available 4 others for Xperiments (Kontakt full 6+) . Kinetic Pulses joins - Atomic Arps, Atmospheres 1 & 2, Alien Air. https://www.darkskyaudio.com/presetpacks/ Experiments is available here https://www.darkskyaudio.com/ Recommended.

Offer from PB on Lunacy Audio Cube - Anyone else?
TracingArcs replied to TracingArcs's topic in Deals
I've found I have got a lot more out of it than expected. And the extra samples (500 vs 120) and the fact there are free packs for the full version as well has its appeal. I agree about upgrading to what I really want/need. It's why I have backed out of upgrading from NI Komplete Ultimate 13 to 14. I don't see enough to warrant it. Maybe next time. -

Like many I got Lunacy Audio Cube Mini as a freebie (and later andexpansion as well). And I like it. I've had an email from PB with an exclusive upgrade offer to Cube full at 66% off .So it come out at £48 ($60). That looks ok to me considering the full retail is £157 ($179). Anyone else get this offer?

BandLab Technologies reveals new brand vision for Cakewalk
TracingArcs replied to cclarry's topic in Deals
I'm stuck a bit here. If the new Sonar has new quality instruments and effects. And is a reasonable price. Then I would give it a serious look. (but not if subscription). I also got Studio One Artist 5 when I bought a new audio interface which I have installed but never use (or understand). If Cakewalk by Bandland is dropped in favour of the new Sonar. but still functions. If truth be told. I think it's at a level that I would not need to switch at all. But continue to use. -
