Welcome to the KVR Developer Challenge 2023, the ninth free-for-all audio plugin / audio application / soundware design event. The "KVR Developer Challenge" is for anyone who develops Audio Plugins or Applications and Soundware. The challenge is to create and release a brand new free audio plugin, application or sound library / pack / set that will benefit the community at large. Creativity is key, it can be as simple or as complex as you want - KVR members will vote on the entries and pick the eventual winner using whatever criteria they choose to. I have the same Presonus Studio 26c. Running on W10. And never had a problem (I have disabled Realtek). I run Defender only (you don't need McAfeer!). As suggested. I would get rid of it and clean up your PC (Revo uninstaller free is good for this but you still will need to look for files left around with McAfee)

Thanks for this. I have been able to upgrade my CA2A and Rapture to 64bit

I've found I have got a lot more out of it than expected. And the extra samples (500 vs 120) and the fact there are free packs for the full version as well has its appeal. I agree about upgrading to what I really want/need. It's why I have backed out of upgrading from NI Komplete Ultimate 13 to 14. I don't see enough to warrant it. Maybe next time.

Like many I got Lunacy Audio Cube Mini as a freebie (and later andexpansion as well). And I like it. I've had an email from PB with an exclusive upgrade offer to Cube full at 66% off .So it come out at £48 ($60). That looks ok to me considering the full retail is £157 ($179). Anyone else get this offer?

I'm stuck a bit here. If the new Sonar has new quality instruments and effects. And is a reasonable price. Then I would give it a serious look. (but not if subscription). I also got Studio One Artist 5 when I bought a new audio interface which I have installed but never use (or understand). If Cakewalk by Bandland is dropped in favour of the new Sonar. but still functions. If truth be told. I think it's at a level that I would not need to switch at all. But continue to use.

Can recommend the Toneboosters https://www.toneboosters.com/downloads/TB_Installer_v1.6.0_legacy_win.zip I use all of them in particular the Limiter.Which I find very clean and transparent. And Unlimited is also good.

As stated by PavlovsCat. I've been using them since they were known as Kontakt Hub. I have many purchases from them (primarily Kontakt). And in fact they are my first port of call when looking at small one man developers. And some real bargains are to be found (I think Ben Osterhouse was first posted there for example). They are the sort of place that when you are fed up and short of money. You can spend your way to happiness!. Recommended.

Thanks BB. Yeah the bass is a combination of Xperiments and Cube mini. And I had the "frippertronics" buzzing away, twiddled with both until it just fellt right and "liquid" enough. Funnily enough you are not the first to mention TD to me though I have none of their records. But very aware of them.

Lucy Blake has put up another bank of free Vital VSTi presets up for download on the Vital site. This is well over 400 in total. And are available across 3 banks. You need to scroll down the page to find each google drive link. First one at the top, second halfway down, and third posted yesterday near the bottom. There is some high quality stuff within. Just place the files were ever you keep your presets (should be in docs ). Then import/convert from within Vital. Totally agree. I only had Tracks 5 SE. Did the survey and got it instantly. Installed. And now going through lots of songs replacing anything I had on bass with this. Preset bass (hold) is magic !
