  1. Sorry if you thought I was being toxic because of some disagreement you had with someone previously. I will look that up and if that was me, I will apologize. I will admit that if you honestly misunderstood my good intentions in my original reply based on your prior experience, that is unfortunate.
  2. Correction to my previous post: I added the word "of" between "expression" and "optimism."
  3. I was going to add, "I hope this helps" to my last post that supported your possible misunderstanding of Bradley Magee's comment, but after I posted it, I saw you had given me a thumbs down to a well-intentioned, well-meaning, positive attempt to help you problem solve. Because you accused me of trying to make you looks like a fool alleging that I edited my post to make you look like a fool, I thought to myself, "Don't edit the post." I hope you can see that I was being supportive of your misinterpretation. And if I edited the post to add some optimism ("I hope this helps.") you would probably think I added that line to make you look like a fool. To be honest, at the time I wanted to add the expression optimism to the support for your misinterpretation, it was sincere, but now I am really annoyed that you accused me of trying to make you out to be a fool.
  4. (1) I didn't imply you were. If you thought I was saying you were a fool, that's unfortunate. (2) In the full version version of the post, I had the word, "If" before "Allow Only One Open Project at a Time" is checked, uncheck it." (3) I added the line, "Maybe this will help." (4) There was a first version before that which got submitted because I accidentally hit "Submit."
  5. Yup; that's why I said "If 'Allow Only One Open Project at a Time' is checked, uncheck it." As a test, I just unchecked it on my PC and was able to load three different projects and switch among them. I always just work with one project open at a time. Since this is not working for you, I will defer to others for additional diagnostic and workflow suggestions.
  6. Your workflow is different from mine, so I cannot suggest good methods to do what you want. I will leave that to others who have more experience doing the kinds of things you do. I am only chiming in related to the quotes I cited above. 1. Check [ P ]references > File > Advanced. 2. If "Allow Only One Open Project at a Time" is checked, uncheck it. Maybe this will help.
  7. Finally!!!! I have been waiting a long time for more people to agree. Thank you, Sir.
  8. I got the "its in stock" e-mail that says "Special price: $125.00." So the $62.50 must be with the 50% off discount. I need to check to see if they will be giving me it for the price I paid before they corrected the error ($4.99), if they have given me a credit for the ($4.99), or if they took an additional $121.01 from me without my permission. I doubt they made a mistake and gave me back $499. Since it says the order was completed but I was never sent the actual serial number from I might just be out the $4.99.
  9. If you mean Cherry Audio's Instruments (such as those in the SynthStack, no, but if you have the Plug-In Host and Mini Plug-In Host modules in Voltage Modular, VM can host those and many other 64-bit VST/VST3 Synths. These host modules are not in the free version of VM (Nucleus); they are in VM Core. See the comparison chart for what's included with each version of VM. If you mean the the Voltage Modular modules, yes, if you have an internet connection. When I boot VM, it does a server sync which updates my modules. If I purchase a module (including demos) and they don't get added immediately,** I press the update button on the top of the Library UI. **Under Settings > Account, there's a checkbox option to "Ask Before Updating Modules." I think that just for updated modules, not new purchases demos.
  10. For those that don't know, the CA Store Sort by Price: Low to High is not necessarily based on the current sale price (or your customized discounted price for bundles). For example, once the $10 level modules are reached, there will be modules on sale for $5, $7.99, $3.99, etc. interspersed among other $10 modules.
  11. You're welcome. BTW, I added about 8-10 more then accidentally hit Back in my browser and lost the Edit Reply Buffer. I will try again either later or tomorrow. For now, a few changes from the above list:
  12. Semantics? Absolutely!!!! ? Whatever floats your plug-in window! ? On a serious note, there are some genuinely free VM modules that actually function--and not just blank panels (partial list). Bundles: https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/guitar-gig-bag-freebies https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/nonlinear-circuits-collection https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/r-ware-x-airwindows https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/dome-music-technologies-freebie-collection Modules: https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/patch-bay-10-poly https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/patch-bay-10-mono https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/mute https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/xy-to-polar https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/simple-amplifier https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/pb-midi-all-notes-off https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/fixed-dc-voltages https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/eyecandy https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/parallel-logic-gate-array https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/third-rail https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/116a-poly-stereo-output-amp https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/divide-and-conquer https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/cv-pitch-scaler https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/pitch-cv-octaver [others, too - I know I have picked up some other free modules (to be added as I find them)] I picked up a delay I really like; not sure if that was just free for a limited time or is still free I know I picked up a MIDI panic button for free; not sure if its still free. I seem to remember some others that might have been free when introduced. I have not listed a couple of distortion FX modules. I have not listed Blank Panels (those are easy enough to find). I have not listed some graphic things that I find use more PC power than most of the audio modules. WARNING: Some of these will tease you!!! ? Apologies if I accidentally listed some that either (1) aren't free and (2) cannot be used with modules you already own. I will double check on my older PC to verify that these are all currently free. Caveat: Don't blame me if you really like some of these module makers and spend more money than you would have if I hadn't posted it. BTW, I have no financial interest in CA, VM, or any of the third party module makers listed above.
  13. You might be right about them being intended as teasers, but my impression has been that they are intended as perks for those who already own the respective paid modules. I also wouldn't call free preset or free tutorials teasers. To me demos with limits (such as time and/or feature limits) are teasers because those give people a taste for what a full version does. I'd say that videos posted in forums, in YouTube, etc. which show the modules at work are also promotional teasers. As I understand it, the free modules are breakout boxes, remote access points, expansion boxes that don't do anything by themselves or in combination with modules other than the ones they are expanding. Not 100% sure, so I downloaded one and will try to make time to see if it can be used with anything else. Update: I tried the Serial Function Oscillator Expander. While it can take various non-playertron modules as inputs, so far as I can tell, the only place where the expander can be used is with the Serial Function Oscillator module. Of course, having a free module with a lot of connection points might inspire someone to purchase the base module or even other modules from the developer.
  14. Some of the Playertron freebies are designed for other Playertron modules. I just assumed that those are not really useful to people who don't own the modules for which they were designed. If you find otherwise, please let us know.
  15. This is another reason for me not to get Windows 11. With XP I used to have toolbars on all 4 sides of a single monitor. It worked for ages. But then some people with issues complained when they accidentally moved docked toolbars and they floated on the desktop and they had no idea how it happened and how to redock it. So MS called it a rogue feature created by some random developer and Windows 10 only allows docking on one edge of a monitor. So, since my monitor is wider than it is tall, ever since I have had Win 10, I use the height for content and the left edge for the taskbar. It seems a waste of valuable real estate to have it on the bottom. If you create a movement to get MS to stop deciding what is best for customers and getting rid of customer choices, let me know. How about a change.org petition?
  16. The Event Manager is accessed via the View button. It only filters what is viewed. To delete specific events, press Delete. The three columns that seem to be unlabeled are Data. For Notes, the Data is: Note, Velocity, Duration.
  17. "This runs better that Windows 11." If that's the case, I'll stick with Win 10.
  18. I don't know. Normally, if I want to find out a price, I'd login, add it to my cart, look at the price, and then remove it from the cart without purchasing it. In this case, since you don't have MODO MAX yet, I am not sure how you can find out. Maybe contact IK Support?
  19. Yup! Excellent suggestion. Several weeks ago I reclaimed a whole bunch of GB on my external Multi-TB HDD. As you may recall, I was trying to problem solve issues with Syntronik 2. So I had multiple zip and unpacked zips ranging from CS, SE, Full, and then the GB equivalent of MAX including some with malformed container files. Hmmmm. Just reclaimed another 12.5 GB by deleting two SYN2 SE zip files. And another 4.8 GB deleting TONEX zip files. ? Feels great!!!!!
  20. Just to be clear in case new consumers of IK products don't know, the brand new SampleTank packs are not in Total Studio MAX 3.5. Neither are other products that came out after TS MAX 3.5 came out.
  21. Another option (discussed in a number of other IK related deals threads) is to wait for upgraded products to include gear which has been released since the current versions. However, if the $30 in jam points will be expiring before then, that might a difference.
  22. By my estimation, Total Studio 3.5 MAX for $99 makes more sense because it includes Amplitube 5 MAX plus much more if someone qualifies for the MAXgrade. Suggestion: check the price of TS 3.5 MAX while logged in to see if you qualify for the $99 upgrade.
