  1. I'm hap, hap, happy with the 3 I wanted, if I use ST4 as much as I use ST3 (wait a minute, when was the last time a project depended on ST3?) Why am I asking you? ?
  2. I tried that, evidently I haven't spent enough (what $1200 bucks for the card was chicken scratch?). Evidently this is why I've never bonded with the Octo. (this is the second UAD card I've bailed on) love my la-610's and 6176, I did return an OXBOX; maybe that's the issue? t ?
  3. Where does it show up in my account? t
  4. I played the baby grand that was in the living room my whole childhood (my father, bless his heart, tried to have me "trained" to play the piano). The wife and I packed an upright grand for years. As stated above, I play a mean 1 handed blues in the key of C (I can, and do, lay down bass lines with the left and/or right hand) But I'm no synthesist (one who plays the synth)........ So how do I use it? t
  5. I will clarify, I was in when it was just Modo D and Modo B, the Hammond was a plus (and the buy went to 3 as I was demoing all three to be sure). I have ST3, so level 4 was no biggie, but ST4 for "free" (and nothing in life is "free") was a bonus, but TBH, I yawned. Now I have d/l'd Syntronik and frankly, WTF does one do with it? (remember, I'm a guitarist who can play 1 handed blues in the Key of C on the piano) Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated.................. t
  6. 228 (whoops you beat me!) now, but what in the buy do I want? I downloaded Syntronik, but I'm a guitar player, does anyone use this thing? Could use some input.... t
  7. If your template includes a DRUM BUSS, then so will the project you insert it into. All my projects include a Drum Buss. tom
  8. Love is never having to say you're sorry... More great stuff, love the social commentary! ? We are entitled to our opinions, just not our own set of facts.... t liar, liar, pants on fire, your nose is longer than a telephone wire
  9. Barry I loved this tune when it was "rough", nothing's changed there. Without a doubt you've been doing your homework (lather, rinse, repeat; come back to it later?), and it shows (big time) your mixing skills are maturing beautifully. The drums are bigger (loving the snare), the guitar riff takes center stage and demands attention. The gentle delay on the vocal, still using the Sonitus surround? or just the delay? I'm good with the bass line, it "anchors" the tune just fine. Specific suggestions, I think your production is catching up with your songwriting; keep it up! Print it, mix 4 is solid; Hendrix evidently tried to redo Wind Cries Mary more than once; the original 4 track was "the take". BTW, I did listen on headphones, the DT 990's from the Fireface; the Bose cans off the soundchip are just too bass hyped... t
  10. I have an Octo card I'd make someone a killer deal on......................
  11. IF I had EVER purchased a bg's record, ain't no way I'd #@%$***** admit it! So good on ya baps; you Am a braver man than I.............................. ?
  12. More Kirby, as always well done! Some of the crits are good advice, but life changing? Your song, your production. I will say I much prefer handling the drum mix in CbB; EZD2, SuperiorD3, MODO, etc.; rather than a 2 track from the VSTi. The Paul sounds great (never bonded with TH-U). The 4040 seems to like your voice, that's a good thing! (not a big ART fan TBH, but its working well for you!) ?'s... t
  13. I've mentioned this before, my wife's uncle was the Principal Clarinetist for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for many years. According to Dick, the Principal Clarinetist is the Stud Lead Guitarist of the Orchestra (my words not his). Does this have anything to do with 3rd movement, no not really, just an interesting anecdote regarding the mindset "legit" musicians. ("legit" is in Dick's words, I never pressed him to define "legit"...) Excellent as always Jerry! t
  14. Often that's the mark of good songwriting, let the listener take it where he/she needs to go... Well I doubt this is Agent P's first run at songwriting, but it does seem he has "bonded" with CbB. A little crit (or not), I found the guitar "scratches" right and left at 2:11 and 2:14 a bit "jarring" (too loud), but you returned to that (sorta) at 3:43 going into the outro so I get it; me, I turn it down a little. Your song, your production... ? tom just so Agent P knows, that's tom with a small "t"; lots of Toms on the forum
  15. Jesse, we feel your pain! You've featured an organ in the last two, that's something new; right? Off topic, but we'd love to see the sky out here on the left coast. Take care my brother... t does anyone else see the face of a turtle (or tortoise) in Jesse's avatar? or is it just me... flashbacks from the 60's maybe?
  16. Anders, Hit "share" on your UTube vid, then hit "copy" and paste it (ctrl+v) into your Cake post, that will put vid in your post. (it took me forever to get this right...) Always a Dylan fan, well done! tom

    TIME

That seems to be a common malady these days. Maybe, sounds like Freddy to me; this and your surf excursion (and I hear a little of that in the solo guitar verb here) prove you're not a "one trick pony" my friend! many thumbs up here... t
