  1. definitely flavour with the our ? (couldn't help myself freddy, one of my amps is a DVA Fourty and a friend pointed out it was misspelled, so I retorted "its the British Fourty", yeah well "the brits spell it forty as well" DA. So I replied I could Trademark Fourty...) ? David t
  2. Welcome to the forum whoisp. Not my genre, but I think you've got some good advice from those that are more familiar with EDM. tom
  3. Good comments/suggestions from -Tom t Like the guitar tone on that walking up riff
  4. I listened to all three, (boy I hope that top link is still the original mix, that or the jokes on me!?) The final mix is lovely and probably worth the extra effort, although I found no "huge" issues with the original. t
  5. Dark and foreboding, Claudio's trademark! Glad to see Where Orchids Goes To Die is (are?) alive and kicking... t "the band name seems gramatically wrong, but we use "Orchids" as an eponymous" So, if I read you correctly, even though the s in Orchids implies plural, Orchids is indeed singular in this usage...
  6. I don’t have Sonarworks running system wide. I use the headphones plug as stated on the PHONES buss. The ARC buss goes to the RME stereo out. Often I put the Sonarworks plug there (ARC buss, turn off ARC) to “check” translation. I don’t care for having Sonarworks running “full time”. I bought the full package, so as to have both options (cans or speakers) but prefer to use “manually” probably because I’m of a certain age and fear I’d have ARC and Works running at the same time. ? t
  7. Oh boy that 0:45 mark is biggie! What is the instrument with the piano? and now 1:30, oh yeah! You hit the mark Keith... Lovely build throughout! t Where is everybody, this is great....

    Morning stars

Yeah, that big clean Strat kind puts you on the beach in SoCal. ?'s t
  9. I'll hold the "like" for the re-re-mix then... believe me, you're not alone there ? (been there, done that). Good guitar tone! t
  10. So I hit the link, jump to BandLab, and I've already "liked" the track. Really? In hearing it, yeah I've had a listen; did I not Submit Reply? Why am I asking you? So ?'s my (our) furried friend! t
  11. Sounds spot on for the genre here. If the client's happy, I'm happy... t Liked the B3 btw
  12. Yep! Yeah, I go to Harry Fox and pay the licensing (min $17) fees for the few I have up. We are in agreement there... again, great cover t
  13. Definitely an Edmunds fan to be sure. Personally feel its a shame he's best remembered for what is a "novelty" tune. Great job Shane, btw ?. On Love Sculpture's Blues Helping album Dave "nails" the Freddie King burner The Stumble. On that tune Dave is as good as any of the Famous Three, British rock gods... t sorry to "steal" your thread Shane, there are good guitarists and then there are the rare virtuosos. Dave, by virtue of his work in Love Sculpture, is one of those "rare" ones on my list. I get carried away sometimes... ? one more thing: I jumped over to SoundCloud to drop a "like" but this tune didn't come up on your feed; how does that work?
  14. I'm not good with genres, but; this IS jazz right? t

    Singged

I don't have any problems getting off the couch, but as to accomplishing much; well that could be going a lot better... ?'s Jesse! t
  16. Love me some Tull. Favorite from Standup; Back to the Family. I handed off my vinyl collection New Year’s Day. Standup and a half dozen other Tull gems amongst over 100 titles. haven’t owned a turntable in 30 years? t held back one LP, my wife’s 9th grade choir performance; don’t know what I’ll do with it...
  17. Always leave 'em wantin' more! t gotta have me some of that snare; Oh Yeah!
  18. My aging ears need all the help they can get! But it is a matter of taste and style. Always the best idea me thinks... t
  19. YES, our Democracy is still in tact!
  20. Can’t say enough good about StudioCat. I have two “Cats”. Even at 10+ years old #1 is still running strong. Jim is the BEST! t
  21. Not trying to be "gratuitous" here Nigel, but I think there is a class here in mixing (I didn't say master class in deference to you feeling its not "perfect"). Wooks agrees me thinks... t
  22. As always, top notch Bats, so a big ?'s from me! On the DT990's here, the oomph is there, just not the "click" of the beater. I've mentioned this before, IIRC.... t
  23. Glenn has outlined exactly what I do. I have a send from the Master to the “Phones” buss, where I have Sonarworks. The Master is routed to the ARC buss where I have (you guessed it!) ARC. When I export a mix, it is from the Master buss simples! t
  24. Song is "credited" to Lennon McCartney, hence the tally is 71 to 72. t just keeping it real...
