  1. If i miss a plugin i would search in "uncategorized" or write in the searchfield (in Sonar/CbB browser) P A for Plugin Alliance. It's not uncommon that it installs under the company name instead of the plugin name. Plus make a switch to the instrument tab while the searchword still is there and doing its job, assuming you started with the audio FX tab. The searchfield is very useful. It gives searchresults from first letter. If you don't have anything useful after three letters, select new letters.
  2. I don't use workspaces but i thought this scenario would fit the description.🙂
  3. Try the free BlueArp. It now comes with presets specifically done for guitar. I've tried it with an Ample guitar and it sounds good. https://omg-instruments.com/wp/?page_id=46
  4. I gave it a go with Miroslav Philharmonik 2. I was curious if the $1 tier really worked. If something went wrong, because of IK's bad reputation, it would be easy to forget a loss of $1. It worked. I now understand more of that bad reputation. It installed 3 apps. Product manager, authorization manager and custom shop. I only needed Product manager for installation and authorization. So...bloatware. Bad and partly missing installation instructions, took hours to find the right procedure and install. Then it had a missing dll and needed a workaround that was found with a search, no info together with the installed files. But i came out of it a bit positive. Because i found out that there's 5 authorizations allowed and it installed on my win 8.1. That's nice.🙂👍
  5. I discovered this song at my cousins, probably 1963. First time i heard a lead synth with backing guitars and uptempo style. For me that was groundbreaking.
  6. I know what a drum map is but "passthru" i've never heard of. I found a mention about it in an old cakewalk forum thread from 2007. Didn't explain it though. Could you explain or link me somewhere that explain it?
  7. Thanks! A bit awkward when it comes to short notes. Then i have to zoom first before the shortcut keys. But doable and that's ok.
  8. This turned up in my head. Probably unnecessary but fun idea. Arp patterns and chord tracks can have lots of notes spread over 2-3 octaves. I've tested to see if i could mute only one of the note lines. Couldn't find a way to do it. If possible it would be fun experimenting to hear what you get when you play it with, for example, all the C3 notes muted.
  9. Usually a midi-interface connects to pc by usb. As do an audio-interface. If the audio-interface also has midi-ports you can obviously chain the midi as usual by midi out on one device to midi in on another device.
  10. Ok. Sorry for that irony. I read it as you deleted events before the problem started.🫢
  11. It doesn't seem very professional to withhold such information. But i'm glad that the problem is fixed.🤗
  12. I wonder if it's so simple that you don't understand basic routing? To connect a midi keyboard to a VSTi you choose it in the input menu of the track where your VSTi is. To connect midi from a miditrack to the VSTi (and its track) you use the output menu of the miditrack, where you should select the VSTi name.
  13. I understand it as version 4 is overwriting version 3 or parts of it. Then you don't have a working v3 any longer.
  14. I also got it for free, and have all three of them. I have a couple of other plugins from them. Maybe that counts in some way? . First time i went into my account/downloads but couldn't find what i expected, which was either El Clapo 2 or El Clapo 1-upgrade. Second attempt was signing in but go back to Boz home page and download from there. That did it.
  15. I tested some things and it turned out that TTS-1 no longer show up as an instrument on a track and is auto-routed to the midifiles when there's no midi output in preferences. However, if your midifile have populated the tracks and you manually put TTS-1 in the trackpanel, it will attach itself to the output of the midifiles if there's no midi output in preferences. If TTS-1 is in the trackpanel first the midifiles will attach it to their output. This is happening without any "ctrl" influence. So, when did this change in behavior happen? I assume this is intentional?
  16. There is these two files, "TTSseq.ini" "Aud.ini" that can be deleted and will be built again upon Cakewalk start. But make a copy first anyway. Sometimes a setting that went wrong get stuck in the ini-file. Letting Cakewalk make a new solves that. TTSseq.ini is the one that deals with midi.
  17. Well, we search for a needle in a haystack so i went outside the box and thought of the template project. A template keeps the settings done on it and opens again with those settings every time. I played with the thought of missing midi out on the template project. That would give a similar result as yours.
  18. I have done a test with Sonar. Opened a regular project from the filemenu. Let it load and then push the spacebar. It worked and started playing.
  19. A bit peculiar, yes. Do you use a project template? If yes. What happens if you open a new project with no extras but the name?
  20. To lose focus on a window happens sometimes. Most likely a background process that steals the focus. Keep an eye on the taskmanager and what the processes do when starting Sonar. Also check the keyboard shortcut settings, just in case.
  21. The Pushpin is to hold that particular plugin open. You have to repeat this for every plugin. Better to go to edit/preferences/vst settings - recycle plug-in windows. Uncheck it.
  22. Are you absolutely sure that dialog is from the daw? Can it be from the windows system? You really need to identify the names of the files that flash by.
  23. There's other software that scans after Vst's. Audacity is one.
  24. I don't see it as a deal. I see the same price for the same number of software it always been. The synth plus TWO voices would be a deal.
