Download one of these, https://plugins4free.com/instruments/Organs/ , choose vst and win 64. Then install it and scan for it. Make your midi edits and hear the results. Change the output to midi out and let your hardware play it.

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" is indeed awesome. "Hurt" by Christina Aguilera is my latest favorite. https://youtu.be/wwCykGDEp7M?si=9UhnOo1RV9e7B-8U

I've taken the step to subscribe for a year. When that year is over i hope i'll see a bunch of new functions and not only performance issues. Then i take the final decision.

Need a way to open pro channel up from track view.

The one in inspector window is to small? -
You probably need an organ plugin. https://plugins4free.com/search?term=organ Download it and put a copy of the vst/vst3 in the right folder. Use 64bit. Scan the plugins. It should now be in the Cake browser on the plugin tab under instruments. Drag it to a track pane/header. Drag your midifile to the same track and click the Input Echo button to hear sound. Drag the file either from windows file explorer or from the Cake browser in the media tab. OR If an Allen organ have midi contacts i assume it have audio out contacts. Why not record those with the daw and listen to that? Then you get the true Allen sound.

Are you aware of the speed in which text and graphics roll by? There seem to be 3-4 second between animations. It would be better with 10 seconds. I've started the video two times. I'll do a third with a decrease in videospeed and hope i can follow the explanations. Keep on doing videos for Sonar. It needs some new tutorial videos.

I clicked both links right now. They work ok for me. ๐ค

I think that a working Melodyne plugin only can be found in older CbB versions. Newer CbB versions only comes with Melodyne 5. That version only gives you a demo month. However, if you never did a complete uninstall Melodyne kept working throughout later CbB versions. A demo month is probably what goes for Sonar.

This has been around since the start of CbB 2018. I use a screensaver. When it activates with CbB running i come back to the pc to find CbB unresponsive. Happens maybe 70% of the time. I am now used to quit the daw when i'm leaving the pc for a time longer than the screensaver start time. Have no idea why it was getting unresponsive.

no app tab in bandlab assitant. How to install add-on?
Kurre replied to CheeseChickening's topic in Instruments & Effects
Please use the product center. That's the new installer for daws and addons. -
Ok ok. I confess. I look away and hope someone else take care of it. I'm a despicable person. Very bad. Have a nice day. ๐

Dotted vertical line following my cursor is annoying
Kurre replied to Buddha's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Yes, you can turn it off. Maybe learn a bit about it. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.29.html -
Is it Melodyne in the FX bin? What happens if you turn it off?

can you set up to see the vst scan at startup in real time?
Kurre replied to mark skinner's question in Q&A
In preferences / vst settings you can check the box "Generate scan log" and then do a scan that gets logged. From documentation: Log the VST scanning progress to %APPDATA%\Cakewalk\Logs\VstScan. log. This can be useful to troubleshoot problems when plug-ins fail to scan properly. Note: Logging is intended for diagnostic purposes, and can have overhead. -
Display Scale Slider in Display Properties Visible in Sonar but Not CbB?
Kurre replied to Stephen Power's question in Q&A
I support the answer that they were never there in the first place. -
^^^^ Yes and some use it to push the file/folder to the top of the list. Yet, a little try couldn't hurt. ๐

What happens if you skip the exclamation marks in front of the folder name?

[Solved] The selected time range cannot be empty error
Kurre replied to Berkay Avcฤฑ's topic in Cakewalk Next
Shouldn't source be tracks? -
Are someone thinking/working on AI functions? Yes, it's going to be tough to develop for local software but there are several daw functions that could benefit from it. Audio alignment is one. It will likely come to daw's in a couple of years.

I stumbled upon one more way to listen to a note. Hold down Ctrl and left click on a note in the prv. It will keep sounding until you release the mouse button. The negative thing is that you only get a sound when the cursor is a cross (move). It's hard to get it to show the cross when dealing whit short notes. Best to start with zoomed in notes if you need to do this.
