  1. ^^^^ Yes, it sounds a lot like a failing powersupply. Maybe start with replacing it, if that is easier than errorchecking memory.
  2. There could be several reasons for this problem. Select an instrument track, open the piano roll and put in notes from C0 to C8. Any of them make a sound?
  3. I'm going to see if i can turn them black. I've found some blue ones. They are directx plugins.
  4. Maybe it's the color scheme, which is "Dark", that has an influence on this but my plugins have colors as follows: White - vst 3 Golden - vst 2 Green - 32-bit
  5. I tested to rightclick Imposcar instrument track. It made a duplicate instrumenttrack. Secondly i tried to duplicate Imposcar instrument track from "duplicate" above the track pane headers. Still made a duplicate instrumenttrack. Third, i split the Imposcar instrument track and rightclick the synth track. It made a duplicate synth track. Secondly i tried to duplicate Imposcar synth track from "duplicate" above the track pane headers. Still made a duplicate synth track. This is with Sonar. CbB isn't going to be updated so i didn't think it was necessary to test it.
  6. Usually i need to play the edited section more than one time. That's why i do a selection and set loop points to it. It's quick, make a selection, push the button and play/edit.
  7. How about the audio buffer? Adjusting the Settings: Edit > Preferences > Audio - Sync and Caching: Locate the Playback I/O Buffer Size and Record I/O Buffer Size. Double Increments: Cakewalk recommends increasing the buffer size in double increments (e.g., 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048). Experiment: Experiment with different buffer sizes to find the setting that works best for your specific needs and computer setup.
  8. When i discovered this as a youngster it made me open to classical music. I thought it was beautiful melodies, especially Clair de Lune.
  9. I'm not sure, but do you have "recycle plugin windows" checked? It's in preferences/file/vst settings. To have several plugin windows open at the same time it have to be unchecked. It affects plugin windows but you talk about projects..?
  10. I'm sure this, non-deletable projects in the projectlist that force you to use the register editor, has been mentioned more than one time. But once again. Let me suggest a file manager in the "project menu". In this manager you can check which project files you want to remove from the list under the "file menu". A lot safer to let Sonar delete files in the register editor.
  11. The "Record Count-In" under Project> Metronome should hopefully be "0" or "1". If it's double digits it would explain your recording problems.
  12. Sometimes very long filenames together with long paths to the folder can be problematic.
  13. The new track inserts last in the track pane. Is that what you mean? A workaround is inserting as many miditracks as needed and then in the tracks menu above the trackpane, select "sort tracks" and select "order: descending". Do the same for audio tracks.
  14. Hmm..i have a vague recollection of something like this, and it was solved, i think, by disabling markers or maybe it was putting the lines on top of each other an disable the aim assist.
  15. How could i forget? 😳 Deep Purple - Made in Japan
  16. What's the name of the file? That should lead us to the folder where you need to adjust the file and folder permissions.
  17. I would add: Led Zeppelin III Status quo - Piledriver: Supertramp - Breakfast In America:
  18. If you are the only one? Yes, if you think it's a conspiracy. The Sonitus suite is still included with Cakewalk. TTS-1 is not included with CbB installs after februari 2024. Roland requested the removal. Roland GrooveSynth - The DXi was bundled with Artist/Professional and Platinum. Please, don't go off topic!
  19. If i miss a plugin i would search in "uncategorized" or write in the searchfield (in Sonar/CbB browser) P A for Plugin Alliance. It's not uncommon that it installs under the company name instead of the plugin name. Plus make a switch to the instrument tab while the searchword still is there and doing its job, assuming you started with the audio FX tab. The searchfield is very useful. It gives searchresults from first letter. If you don't have anything useful after three letters, select new letters.
  20. I don't use workspaces but i thought this scenario would fit the description.🙂
  21. Try the free BlueArp. It now comes with presets specifically done for guitar. I've tried it with an Ample guitar and it sounds good. https://omg-instruments.com/wp/?page_id=46
  22. I gave it a go with Miroslav Philharmonik 2. I was curious if the $1 tier really worked. If something went wrong, because of IK's bad reputation, it would be easy to forget a loss of $1. It worked. I now understand more of that bad reputation. It installed 3 apps. Product manager, authorization manager and custom shop. I only needed Product manager for installation and authorization. So...bloatware. Bad and partly missing installation instructions, took hours to find the right procedure and install. Then it had a missing dll and needed a workaround that was found with a search, no info together with the installed files. But i came out of it a bit positive. Because i found out that there's 5 authorizations allowed and it installed on my win 8.1. That's nice.🙂👍
  23. I discovered this song at my cousins, probably 1963. First time i heard a lead synth with backing guitars and uptempo style. For me that was groundbreaking.
