I should really get some more SoundIron libraries. I only have a handful, and they are really nice.

Sideshowfx releases Cubase Programmed Keys for Streamdeck 15 key and XL
husker replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
Bumping this topic, as I just picked up a StreamDeck. Sometimes being the head IT guy has its advantages - "Hey, I think we need to look at these - I'll pick one up and test it at home." On a serious note, this thing is really cool. Still trying to work out the difference between Midi and Shortcuts, but I'll get there. Has anyone found a good free music or Daw related icon sets? -
Me too. That "Black Friday" seems like yesterday.

My experience with Sweetwater has not been good. As a matter of fact, I purposely try to avoid them because of my experiences. When I first purchased from them, I was assigned a "Sales Engineer" whose sole purpose seemed to try to upsell me. In addition, he (quite honestly) didn't know a thing about synths (and I'm a synth guy). It didn't really matter much to me, as I do my own research. A year or two later, my wife and I decided to take a little vacation and head to Cedar Point in Ohio, then head to Nebraska for a few days. I had heard amazing things about the place, so I talked my wife into driving a few hours out of the way to stop by. I made contact with my SE, and we set a time for me to visit. I reconfirmed with him the day before. We arrived at the appointed time, and went in and asked the receptionist for him. She told me that he wasn't there, and should be back in a bit. I wasn't really happy, but I figured something may have come up, and he would be back. We waited around for two hours, just sitting on our thumbs. No one else there bothered to say anything to us, apologize, or anything. I was pissed. We finally just left. I emailed him that night, and the next day I received an email back from him that said he forgot. No apology, nothing. A few weeks later, I tracked down someone else at Sweetwater and asked for a new SE. This guy was not happy that I was asking for someone else, even though I expressed all my issues with "my guy." Since that time, I've been bounced around to a handful of SEs, and not a one of them has really taken any interest. Like I said, I purposely avoid Sweetwater if possible.

This is the same thought process my wife uses for shoes...

And I don't have a dollar for a one of them.

>These sound good to me, which is what matters most. ^This +1000

No, and no on Midi Remote.

Quite a few. I have Komplete

I've actually had no performance related issues on Cubase 12. It has been nearly identical to 11.

Is Erik Norlander a better keyboard player than Jordan Rudess?
husker replied to abacab's topic in The Coffee House
Dream Theater is one of my all time favorite bands. Simply. Amazing. I mean, those guys never met a time signature they didn't like... -
What they are really good for (for me) is really teaching me how to use a specific library. OK, I have all this midi, I'll use 8Dio strings - this is how to make them sound correct. Now, I'll change to Cinematic Studio, this is what I have to do with CSS. Etc.

I'm still not sure why I buy things to reinforce that I have no talent...

I have the first two volumes, and I've completed two recipes.... both of which sound like crap.

I'm confused, I thought that was Soundbytes...

As seen from the comments above, this is not for everyone. I actually love it - great concept, good execution. Clearly, one has had the ability to preview midi files on a computer since when - 1987? This implementation, however, is so much more than that. This is a great companion to a sample manager, and also includes other utilities. Sarine is right - this product is symptomatic of capitalism - innovation is encouraged, and products and companies rise or fall on their quality. (I love capitalism. )

I've learned my lesson on IK. Hard pass.

Actually, I think this is a really cool idea. An easy way of previewing Midi files would be welcome.

Please do. I'm in the same boat....

Any news on your Cubase?
