  1. I need to keep the nails of my left hand filed short for guitar fretting duties. But I like to pick my nose with my left little finger, so I need a nail on it. How do I reconcile these requirements?
  2. 2 - Search for "safe mode" in the (online) help. Essentially. hold shift down when opening the project and you can choose which plugins to load/bypass.
  3. This suggests that Overloud ReMatrix is configured to load as part of the default project. Suggest renaming C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\REmatrix Solo\REmatrix Solo-64.dll to REmatrix Solo-64.dl_ and opening CbB. But from later messages it looks like your disk permissions are screwy, so I'd kick off by running (as admin) a chkdsk /f against C drive.
  4. You forgot that they are silent and don't vibrate cases too!
  5. Because you may not want to mix the signals (eg. You want different downstream effects).
  6. You can fudge it in the browser, but only one level deep.
  7. Here's another way to work on this. 1 - Open the tempo track 2 - Right click drag to select all the nodes 3 - Ctrl-X to cut them 4 - Play the piece with no tempo map 5 - When done, move the cursor to the start of the project then Ctrl-V You could also cut just a selection and paste to a new project, then copy and paste back, for example.
  8. Must not buy rig libraries, must not buy rig libraries... ?
  9. Glad you persevered and are happy ?
  10. There's not necessarily routing with a VCA - so your 3 tracks controlled by the VCA could all have different outputs, but their relative levels are controlled by the VCA channel/slider/envelope. I've previously suggested what @Base 57 has, which feels like the "Cakewalk" way of doing this to me. As an aside, these two requests are so far down my list as to be insignificant. I mainly want to see a "hybrid audio engine" (cf. Reaper, Logic, Samplitude, Cubase - all have something similar that improves performance on non "live" tracks) to bring CbB's performance up to match theirs. And support for more control surfaces "natively" (ie. not via ACT or the excellent AZCtrl, but with Cakewalk working with the hardware manufacturers to integrate the devices). Note: neither of these actually benefit me as I don't max out my CPU and don't use a control surface - I just think these are the key missing features that means CbB can get overlooked.
  11. The last time you had preferences open, was it on Keyboard Shortcuts? If so, that does seem to make it take ages to open the next time (within the same session that is).
  12. Many years ago, I was on a (civil service) management training course. In a proposal exercise, I managed to get away with "Agency for Rural and Social Enterprise". And when no-one spotted it, I even extended it to the "(Home Office Liaison Executive)". Now I just come up with acronyms for real IT systems that I don't really like and that sadly stick ?
  13. Shame it doesn't use the Windows menu font though (as per previously) which is a much clearer font.
  14. That last para may not apply to CbB as changes have been made to its MIDI buffering - I haven't tested though.
  15. You might also want to try this one: https://viramor.com/csmulticompander-midifx/
  16. 1 - Select tracks 2 - Hold down control 3 - Change track output or add send to new or existing aux track, patch point or bus. I don't consider this much different from BitWig's approach or speed.
  17. You don't get in app notifications for EA releases.

    Solar Wind

    That's pretty epic!
  19. @Wookiee Funny, I've been remixing a tad and have done pretty much the exact reverse ! This isn't a science ? Glad you enjoyed though.
  20. I'd recently read that this was the case - I *loathe* subtitles. Thankfully mine doesn't want them on ?
  21. And what's wrong with birds in space, eh? ? Thanks for the comments and glad you like it.
