It's a VST plug-in, not a driver, so *way* less intrusive than something like One Drive (integrated) or Team Viewer. It works OK, but a little tedious to use as you need to bounce - better than sharing stems for sure, but when I tried, it wasn't the most stable, as it did lose connection and need re-loading - so much like any other VST then ? It is free though, and does what it says, so apart from some of your time, it's worth experimenting with if collaboration is what you do a lot of.

That doesn't swap between driver modes, which requires a registry change.

Unofficial Windows 10 Audio Workstation build and tweak guide
Xoo replied to Noel Borthwick's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I'm with Erik and have been doing the same for...well, many years now. Having run into huge performance problems caused by real-time scanning at work (not Defender to be honest but an enterprise AV product), I'm glad I have (the product in question caused something like a 500* slowdown on batch image generation from one of my .NET applications making it completely unusable in practice). -
A reinstall over the top also usually works (I've had to do it 2 or 3 times with Windows 10.as it seems to have a habit of being unable to do a major upgrade - eg.1903 to 1909 or 20H2 - here). This way no need to reinstall apps, just manufacturer specific drivers, like soundcards.

Realtime bounce with IM enabled?

And if System Restore didn't work as expected, then any ire should probably be directed at Microsoft...they built that!

Each knob can control more than one parameter - that may work for you (eg. One to do both left and right delay mix).
-
So you can't answer - without examples, this is unhelpful and meaningless.

What exactly do you mean by this? Real examples please.

As long as there are some default (undeleteable!) presets so you don't need to be a RegEx wizard to build your own

To be fair, a "None" for outputs would be exceptionally useful too (I find that a lot of old projects from when I had hardware synths usually point to silly things when I load them into CbB - and quite often, I don't have a MIDI interface switched on, so they all default to a soft-synth...sigh).
-
I have had BIOSes like that too (my current one is adamant I have 2 SATA controllers because it doesn't cope with an NVMe drive plugged into the M.2 slot and still thinks I might br able to squeeze a SATA drive in there too :-)). Do your Zip/Jaz drives still work without the click of death!?
-
Humour me...disable the floppy drive (you have a floppy drive in 2021!!??! :-)) in Device Manager, reboot and try again.

SOLVED: Pops and clicks with bounced audio
Xoo replied to Craig Reeves's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Try also unticking "64 bit double precision" setting - I had one plug-in years ago which hated this and fell over badly with it enabled. -
Have you got rid of your sink there?
-
That controls the MIDI velocity of the instrument track, not the audio gain.
-
That happens for me with CbB and Melodyne too - Celemony haven't been able to solve it. Happened when I went to 3.x to 4.x (and now 5.x). Every time I scan Melodyne (eg. reset or new version) and when I insert it as a region FX. I think it's something to do with the copy protection. Interestingly, it was exactly the same delay on my old Q6600 system as my new Ryzen 2600, so it's *not* a CPU bound problem.

I don't think you can do (6) in CbB (to prevent feedback) - feel free to tell me I'm wrong and show me how ?

Samsung are good (EVO Pro). Note that M.2 slots can take either NVMe drivers (PCIe speed, no SATA layer) or SATA based SSDs (still fast of course, just not *as* fast as NVMe drives).

Gain reduction meter from some compressors on the channel strip
Xoo replied to solarlux's topic in Feedback Loop
What happens if you have 2 "stock" compressors in the Pro Channel for a given track/bus? -
How about view only then in the plug-in? I think(!) that satisfies your requirement there and doesn't break existing usage and doesn't make the plug-in's UI over complicated.

Ah...more data to lose in one go ?

Help Needed on Move Tool (in Multiples of Ticks)

Use the Snap to Grid button ? -
Half-baked may have been a bad choice of words, but if you have to go to 2 different places to adjust relevant parameters (and the places aren't immediately obviously linked without knowing how it works*), then it's a piece of bad UI in my opinion. * And if you know you also need to go to the track's paramaters (CV or TV), then you know you need to go there, so why not just go there and not have the extra UI on the plugin ?
