@jude77 so in the situation where you want to drop a vocal on to mix... Do you need to route the mix to a bus then apply the Trackspacer on that bus feeding to the Master Bus? Or do you just drop it on the Master Bus?
-
Yeah kinda, but that's the worst definition of knee (for compressors, limiter, de-essers) I think that I've seen. "A soft knee setting applies compression differently to a hard knee setting. A soft knee setting will apply the compression gradually until the full ratio amount is reached. This makes the transition from uncompressed to compressed smoother and more transparent." quoted from: https://www.mixinglessons.com/knee-setting-on-a-compressor/ (saved me from word-smithing from memory) With soft knee the compression starts at a lower ratio once it hits threshold, signals blow threshold are not compressed. I've got great respect for DMG but he needs to talk to his technical writer. Edit: I've been looking into this further... Apparently some systems classify the threshold as starting midpoint on the knee when there is a knee - so viewed from that perspective DMG's definition is correct.

Key word is if... you can probably get close with MAutoDynamicEQ but not sure how close. With MAutoDynamicEQ you can split the audio into up to 8 bands (as I recall), Trackspacer has 32 bands. I haven't A/B'd them to check and see if that really makes an audible difference or if one is more of a hassle to set up than the other. Here's a Chandler video on setting up MAutoDynamicEQ to do this kind of frequency masking with a couple of examples. He's choosing to use only one band in his example which I think would have less than optimal results with material whose frequency spectrum varied over time or if you were trying to use it with fitting vocals over a whole mix; but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Anyway... more information to complicate your buying decision.

On sale till Aug 14th Wonder if AudioDeluxe will be the only 3rd party vendor?

Ditto on both the above. Haven't used their instruments much, mainly because of the amount and type of material that I've been working on recently as opposed to a lacking on their part. The one item of Output that I currently use more than all their stuff combined is Thermal (which isn't currently for sale) - love its combination of saturations and modulations. I'm sure in some cases that I could get similar results with Saturn but Thermal just feels more intuitive.

I might have bit for that price. But for $49 $34.66... (my special price from PSP) I'll have to pass on this GAS. I have too many tooob imulators as is. If you don't and need more you can check out: https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2021/01/20/free-saturation-vst-plugins/ or https://blog.landr.com/8-free-vst-plugins-warm-sound/

For me the Kontakt 7 is still taking 4+ minutes to load or scan, but have high hopes that since they've been able to fix my NA issue that a fix for my Kontakt 7 won't be far behind.
-
Holy Frudgenuts! Subsequent runs of NA are now loading in under 10 seconds!!! They're finally caching data! Yay! Now they just need to apply the same technique to Kontakt 7.
-
1st run is still as slow as a constipated tortoise. Finally came up but was showing "Loading Products" screen for over 5 minutes. Will try again later to see if anything changes...

Even though I stopped subscribing to it ages ago still sad to see another milestone of my youth crumble away.

Those who know you & love you have always known. We were just too kind to let you know that we knew. Now that you know that we knew and that we know that you know we knew we can move on to the we know you know we knew that you knew we knew and can pretend we're all nubes that know nothing and can dispense with intense tongue twisters. OK? BTW regarding your sister... Does she still sell shiny sea shells at the sea shore along with sandwiches of albacore and chocolate s'mores? Though often made hasty, they were quite tasty.

Warning! ☠️ reading threads in this forum may be damaging to your financial & physical health! Danger signs: Red glassy eyes Drool on keyboard Red marks on neck from spouse attempting to throttle purchases by strangulation Spending more time updating & maintaining their plugin library than creating music While there are no cures you can minimize the harm / damage to one so addicted by: Telling victim 'Oh man, they have way better sales on that on Black Friday' - then on BF take them to Grandma's house with no internet or WiFi or cell coverage for a prolonged visit. Change their PayPal password and change their credit card numbers on a frequent basis. Having their or your mother stay on prolonged visit and every time the victim tries to access a computer they come up and ask if victim is watching Porn again. "plugins ? ooh that sounds nasty!" Institute a policy - new song per new plugin, if you don't like song they have to try again. If you're a **** they'll be forever creating songs to justify the first plugin. Brings price per pack down to $15 (as Yan noted in OP). Last time these were this cheap (50% off) was last BF (but they were also being sold at JRR which knocked down the price around $2). Tracktion does gives you $1 credit ( 'Tracktion Cash' ) per library usable on your next purchase. Might be your last chance to hit this discount level before next BF.

I'm surprised that you really would expect anything different. If you accept their offer they can re-enable your codes/downloads, if not they've minimized (as far as they're concerned) the damage. That they shut down the download before you could take advantage of it? well them's the breaks...

@Grumpy Monkey welcome to Cakewalk Forum (Deals section). I was checking out your web site. Looks like you have some interesting utilities.

This is old news for me... Already had the plugin updates back from Jesse's original notice but the SSL 360 is not showing in my SSL Download Manager - unless I'm completely blind (wouldn't be the first time). check the version #'s in the download manager (click on the 'i' icon/button by 'Up to date' label ) - you might have already installed these updates.
