I listened to the demos and probably have equivalents.
The genre has been big among developers the last couple of years with seemingly everyone one and their mom putting out either a library or engine.
If you're into this stuff and looking for more or just getting started you might want to check out http://www.rigid-audio.com and get on their mailing list - some very good stuff goes on sale for $5 or less.

I've been toying with the idea of biting the bullet becoming an Omnispherologist.
Adopting Omnisphere as the one true synth, burning the heathen alternatives on the alter of resale and leading a hopefully simpler, purer, but rich softsynth existence.
If you're going monosofysynththeistic, Omnisphere is probably one of the more flexible ways to go.The Unfinished libraries are very good, good enough that this bundle has been on my wish list.
I'd probably get more millage out of them than the other synths that I've picked up over the last 2 years and cumulatively spent more on.
For me the timing of this sale sucks, hopefully during BF or the Winter Holidays they'll have a similar sale.-

A question for the fine folks here well versed in Steinberg's licensing practices and such: If I get a serial from a 3rd party shop like JRR or Best Service and I postpone the registration/activation of this serial on the Steinberg site, will this later date be accounted for regarding the "grace period", as they call it, to have free upgrades?
I'm asking because I got the Wavelab v9.5 upgrade deal some months ago but never registered the serial (TBH I haven't using Wavelab much lately and v9 is being fine enough for my needs). I suppose that v10 is on the drawing board already and I was thinking if it'd be wise to wait for it before registering.
Just a thought.
Cubase licensing is based on activation.
So, unless Steinberg changes policy, the # should be good until you're ready (even across version upgrades).

This deal ends in 19 hours...
After placing my order - when I went to redeem my purchase coupon at Impact Sound Works I was also able to get
Furia Staccato Strings and Mega Brass free!
The coupon codes appeared in my Impact Sound Works cart and I added them before adding the 100% discount code for Ethnic Instruments Bundle (which I had purchased via AudioPlugins**) and now they're mine!**when you purchase the Ethnic Instruments Bundle from AudioPlugins they email you a discount coupon to use at Impact Sound Works
Maybe this is glitch and they will fix it but in the meantime it makes a sweet deal even sweeter.

Just wondering, do you guys use plugins like this sub bass for general rock tracks (with real bass or amp sims etc.. ?
TBH no, or at least not yet.
I've found that using band limited saturation or distortion on the low end has given me a better results when an instrument needs a little more wump/girth/balls than EQ alone provides; but YMMV. -
Included with Mercury!

The NKA files are presets for the Ostinatum arp feature. But at least for me putting them in my Documents folder doesn't work. Looking at the file access log it seems to be looking for %userprofile%\Documents\Albion ONE\Data which doesn't exist so the load button brings me to the Kontakt 5 default directory.
But if you make a Data folder and move all the .nka files into it, then the load button will work correctly.
To be honest this kind of poor attention to detail isn't uncommon with Spitfire. I don't think Windows is their preferred platform.
Short version: copy the Albion ONE folder that is inside the Spitfire Albion ONE library folder to your user Documents folder (which may be something like c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents
Then inside it make a new folder called Data and move all the .nka files into it. Then you can load the Ostinatum settings with the load button without having to go hunting all over your hard drives to find them (which you can also do).
Truthfully this isn't how Kontakt instruments are supposed to work, they should have put them in the Kontakt preset settings directory. And their installer should have put them there for you.
Note: I bought Albion ONE a while ago, your download may be very different than mine. This may just be because of that, your mileage may vary, member FDIC.
Thanks for the info!
Maybe they changed a thing or two. when I click on the Load buttonit takes me to what would be the equivalent to:
c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5So I moved the folder to that location and it's working!
Thanks for providing the info needed to decode this mystery! -
Re: Copy the Albion ONE folder to your Documents folder
That folder contains *.nka files...
What do they do and how can I verify if they are working?
My Documents folder is set to point somewhere other than "C:\Users\steven\Documents"
Some apps find the remapped location other don't.
