When I read "country and western inspired tune" I almost didn't listen, but I'm glad that I ignored my general inner distaste for that sort of thing and listened anyway. The only thing that really struck me as something I would change was that the vocal is maybe a bit dry? If it was me I'd be adding a smidge of something airy to that, but then again I probably always have too much on mine, so make of that what you will.

I liked this more every time I heard it. I took it to my daw pc and messed with it a bit and to my ears just taking between 3 to 4 db off the drums instantly improved it. I also brought the vocal up slightly and backed of the bass a smidge too and I thought just those very crude adjustments helped. If I could have panned the guitars away from the vocal more I think it would have been most of the way there. ** dislcaimer: I'm no kind of expert on anything, just saying how it sounded to me. **

Not to dismiss or diminish any of the awful things that people are going through, but whenever I visited Florida, as much as I loved it, I always wondered if the people who built the houses had ever heard the story of three little pigs? Serious question......do they build the houses there so flimsy because they feel that it's only a matter of time before they'll get blown away regardless, or is the thinking that if building parts are likely to be flying around at some point it will be less damaging overall if they are more lightweight?

Same here, although I usually put a twist on it to at least retain some sense of being creative. It's usually writing the lyric that kills me, so it's a good way for me to not have to concern myself with that part of the process.

Don't believe that it's a "custom" guitar people. This craigb character has been selling guitars that look exactly the same as that one in these parts for many years. I'm the first person to give the mods a hard time because , well, they pretty much deserve it, but it seems they might actually have got something right for a change and sussed this fella out......

Same here, although I see the local library more as me at least getting something for the thousands I pay in local taxes every year rather than being free.

I don't have Sonar, but for me Scaler 2 has always been flaky in Cakewalk. It works until it doesn't - usually after returning to the UI after having closed it to do something else it just comes up blank. I could convince myself that it has been better since whenever I last updated it (I want to say v. 2.7, but I'm not 100% sure) but I got so bored of it crashing that I don't really use it any more. It didn't happen in the DAW that shall not be mentioned, so it does seem to be a CW related problem.

Every time I've looked through it in the last year or two, it seems like pages and pages and pages of ads with a few articles about people that I've never heard of who do things that bore me. Ok, so now we've established that I'm too old to be in the target audience and that's fine, but when most of it is basically just ads it shouldn't really come as a surprise that people don't want to pay for the privilege of looking at them, especially when they have the www at their disposal and can easily find info on just about anything they want to any time they like. A wise man once said that the internet will become both the best thing and the worst thing ever invented at the same time.

I used to work for the company that made the stents. Well, supplied would be more accurate, they were actually made in Switzerland and we just shipped them. When old hospital stock was returned due to the sterility date having expired they basically put a new sticker with a new date sometimes on top of the old one if it didn't want to peel off without damaging the expensive packaging and sent them back out to someone else. Hopefully they gave you a couple that didn't have too many stickers. As part of the job training I had to attend a few ops and found it interesting although the safety gear required just to watch the procedure did give some cause for concern as to exactly how much radiation was present in the room and I had to go out in the dark a few times afterwards to reassure myself that I wasn't glowing.

Notes casually lobs almost a billion more people onto the planet whilst moaning about it's over population, lol! 😀 People are living for much longer. Increased population is not all about the birth rate. Anyway, back to the windy stuff......

Erm... no, not really. Before you say that again somewhere less forgiving, you might want to wind up your internet thingamjig a little more and have a little looksie re global birth rates....... 😀

Nailed it! Thanks Xoo. No idea how that got changed as it's not in a window that I ever need to open. (For the benefit of anyone else in future experiencing the same issue that might come across this thread in a search, the option is actually tick to disable rather than tick to enable - gremlins got in somehow and ticked the box for me)

Something has changed and I can't see what.......I use the same starting template for every project and mic works fine as it always has when there is no playback happening. Press play and it cuts the sound from the mic, enable recording and it's back, So I can record, but now can't practice without recording it. Doesn't happen in Platinum - that works as it always has, so it's not the project and it's not the hardware. Has to be something daft that I'm missing for some reason. Any ideas?

It sounds ok. Not enough to justify 7 minutes though.

I like AD2. It just works, always has and I don't care if they ever bring out a new version, but I've always felt that the individual kit prices are overpriced and that the "sale" price is just the real world price. Not that XLN would be alone in that.
