  1. The only real concern of mine back then was right booby first or left booby first ......... .... nothing much has changed really.
  2. Thanks for the info. I don't have soldering equipment but anyway they said that they're "not allowed" to just supply the replacement padding. I guess if all else fails there's always gaffer tape. Pretty annoying given that they've only had home use and always hung up when not in use. Never had this issue with any other headphones, most of them much cheaper.
  3. I've never heard of anyone trying to find the end of a rainbow because there might be a pinch of salt there.
  4. That's coming in the next update.......
  5. Thanks Bapu - I have seen those but read somewhere that they don't actually fit. Do you know differently?
  6. Refurbished though. $149 for new Taking of which I just asked Audio-Technica if it was possible to replace the headband padding as the vinyl covering on mine is cracked and flaking big time and they wanted £42 ($52 US) just to "inspect" them after I already sent them a picture of the flaking. Apparently they cannot give a price without me agreeing to this minimum charge so whatever they plan to charge for the actually replacing the padding is over and above that. If I don't want to pay that price then I'm still out of pocket by about half what it would cost to buy a new pair. Nice headphones but lousy way to treat customers especially when a few minutes online shows that this flaking is quite a common problem . I really like them, but I wouldn't buy any more after this.
  7. Haven't noticed any difference as far as that goes.
  8. I never suggested that wasn't the case. Just giving my experience from a W7 perspective as the OP didn't specify his OS
  9. Best to keep that kind of info to yourself.
  10. The advice to install both is good. Personally speaking I find that the Bandlab version takes longer to open, crashes more often and is generally less tolerant of my "while playing" scooting around the UI on my old win 7 pc than Platinum ever was. I'm trying to embrace the new, but the day I revert back edges ever closer.
  11. Pfffttt. He forgot me so why should I remember him.......? ?
  12. Reports now emerging that in fact he left to join a 19 piece Jamaican jazz/reggae fusion band having become tired of the strict structure of playing classical. Now he just stand on stage and ting.
  13. 20% off everything code arrived today....
  14. In case anyone else comes across the same log in issue with T&S, the answer is that you have to set up a new account using the same log in details as the old one which then migrates all your old details to a new account.
  15. Is he not the samplitude guy on YT now? If not he has a twin.
  16. Very cool. Ya know that they didn't really go, right? ?
  17. Thank you Larry that's very generous, but my trigger finger is kinda itchy so I may have to pull it anyway...................If I could get into my account that is. Currently telling me that there is no account with that email address at the moment - the only email address that I've ever had that all my previous order confirmations from them have been sent to........... You know how some days you just hate the www..............??
  18. Yeah, it's been a while since I got one which is why I was hoping that one might be about due.
  19. As I'm sure many of you do, every now and then I get a 10 or 15% off code from Time&Space, but I have no idea whether this is done randomly or whether they always do it at certain times of year. Anyone know if there is a pattern to this or not? I'm about to buy something from them, so it would be nice to know if a discount is likely to be heading my way soon before pulling the trigger. TIA
  20. I wonder if Mrs Gorsky saw that one coming....?
  21. No. I got an email from CW acknowledging that it was a problem and they were looking into it followed by another 2 weeks ago saying "as we haven't heard back from you in a while" they would be closing the ticket. I have no idea what they were expecting to hear from me as I had already provided all the info I had and they had acknowledged that it was a problem that they were working on it. I replied straight away to that by asking why they were expecting further contact from me when as far as I was concerned I was waiting on them and also asking how a reported and acknowledged problem could be considered to be closed when the problem has not been solved. 2 weeks on and no reply to that......................I looked up the word impressive in my dictionary. It's definitely not that.
  22. AFAIK there is currently no longer an upgrade path for legacy versions of EZ drummer or Superior drummer to current versions, so anybody buying this with just that in mind is wasting their money.
