  1. You might wanna go careful with that advice Larry. The quoted price for upgrade from MPS 1 to MPS 2.1 is $299, same as JRR. https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/audio-plug-ins/izotope-music-production-suite-21-upgrade
  2. I'm almost annoyed that I already have it and that it was also free. That's how good it is to get Iris 2 for nothing.
  3. I use VLC, does what I need it to, but I'm by no means a power user. Basically as long as it plays I don't really care exactly what is playing it.
  4. FWIW Cakewalk informed me today that the VST2 issue is now fixed in the latest release. I haven't installed it yet it as it seems to be bringing new problems for some users and apparently another fix for that is imminent, but also because I got rid of the Sektor VST2 .dll in my system so I would have to reinstall that to check, but in theory there is no longer any reason for anybody who wants Sektor to be put off by the VST2 thing.

    Working on themes

For me the user generated themes mostly prove that making attractive themes is not as easy you might think. The theme editor is way too deep for the casual user IMO. Does the tungsten theme not help......? IIRC correctly the notes in PRV follow the track colour so if you want to change the colour of those changing the track colour should do it * image from reference guide p88. https://bandlab.github.io/cakewalk/docs/Cakewalk Reference Guide.pdf
  6. He thinks he's still going to "need" all that computer stuff once the wife and kid move in.........
  7. I think on this occasion she was singing about a thing that points out spelling or grammatical errors that is named........errmm.....a word that doesn't exist. Or maybe just the concept of an American pointing out other people's incorrect spelling? Take your pick.?
  8. For the money it's actually very good. As long as you use the VST3 version it works fine.
  9. It really is fookin awful, but I've probably heard worse.I'm not going to spend any time trying to remember them though.
  10. What abacab said.^^^^ I have reported the VST2 issue to Cakewalk and they said that they are both working on it and also consider the ticket closed even though no fix has been offered (?) so who knows what will happen there. Hello Mr Lefthand, can I introduce you to Mr Righthand? VST3 version works fine. I've not done the update though. Looking at the release notes I didn't see anything there that I was bothered about having.
  11. Nah, these says most of my life is in hindsight and as we know that's always 20/20.
  12. Awaiting craigb................
  13. The only real concern of mine back then was right booby first or left booby first ......... .... nothing much has changed really.
  14. Thanks for the info. I don't have soldering equipment but anyway they said that they're "not allowed" to just supply the replacement padding. I guess if all else fails there's always gaffer tape. Pretty annoying given that they've only had home use and always hung up when not in use. Never had this issue with any other headphones, most of them much cheaper.
  15. I've never heard of anyone trying to find the end of a rainbow because there might be a pinch of salt there.
  16. That's coming in the next update.......
