My favourite part was the rides at the top of the Stratosphere. Having done all the Disney and suchlike theme parks several times by then I thought I'd pretty much seen everything that thrill rides had to offer, but doing those ones 1100+ feet up at 2am when I already had a bit of a buzz on just blew everything else I'd ever been on away.

Except I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. -

So, in a nutshell your defence is that a bigger boy made you do it? -

At least it's not as bad as when you posted the one drawing attention to *that* folder. -
A couple of times when I was there it got pretty rough from what I was seeing on the TV, though luckily each time I was based on the opposite coastline to the path they were taking, so I was able to pretty much keep out of the way of them. I've never forgiven those storms for causing me to miss seeing the space shuttle take off on one occasion and land on another though. ?

A few years back I had the TV tuned to a news station, but was in the other room so I could hear it but not see it. A reporter in the US was interviewing a man whose house, along with many others, had just been torn apart by a tornado. The man sounded particularly distraught as he went on to explain that this was the second time in so many years that he had lost literally everything. His previous house was in New Orleans and had been wiped out by Katrina. He said that he came to the conclusion that he just couldn't take the chance of starting over in NO, so he moved to where he was now so that he could feel safe and now this happens. I couldn't help but feel for the guy and was just thinking....that poor man, what are the chances........ when the journo wrapped up his piece stating....." I'm so and so, reporting live from Tornado Alley. I stopped feeling quite so sorry for the guy then.

'Cos you never get storms in Florida, right?

Go in just before it starts and say that you dropped 50p on the pavement on your way in and you can't find it - plenty of seats free in no time!

It can be a bit of a CPU muncher when there's a lot going on. IIRC some patches do warn of this and there is an option to run cpu friendlier version of it. Personally, I just freeze the synth track when I'm done so it's just another audio track from that point. Easy enough to unfreeze if any changes are required.

Is it one of them pictures where different people see different things then? When I look Ringo isn't holding a guitar.

I went for a few days on an unplanned diversion from a California trip in 2004 and couldn't believe how cheap everything was. It sounds like an even better decision now than what I ended up thinking back then because I couldn't enjoy it with the price levels being described no matter what the state of my bank balance. Nothing worse than feeling like you're being ripped off all the time.

I don't use it as much as I should in actual tunes because when "in the zone" it's so deep and I tend towards more instant gratification so as not to lose writing momentum, but it's a fabulous and fascinating thing to play with and for anybody into synths looking at this and maybe sitting on the do I really need another synth fence, it's a total no brainer at this price level.

Hello HIBI - sorry I did not reply to your previous answer - I ran out of time and had to go out. Thank you for trying again despite that. The track is not frozen when I open the PRV to edit/add to the midi because if it was I would not be able to hear the changes or play the instrument.

Thanks for the trouble you went to here, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. I know how to change it and what you show here is exactly what I do, but next time I open PRV it has reverted to the numbers and I have to do it again.......and again.......and again. What I'm trying to find is a way to make that change stick and be the default display.

I've never knowingly used either, but I do use a custom template for all projects, so I wonder if it's something to do with that? I'll see what happens if I change it in the template file when I'm back at my DAW pc.

I'm not using the preview bus correctly
paulo replied to Anders Madsen's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It's just a bus like any other, so if you never use it for it's intended purpose then it doesn't really matter I guess, but it would seem more logical to me to set up a reverb bus and use that. I don't really use loops much either, but sometimes if I just want a tambourine or a shaker I might do it the lazy way and use a loop, so it's useful then.- 1 reply

I've tried the reference guide, but just seemed to end up in an endless loop of go to page xxxx and eventually lost the will to live. Simple question (hopefully) Whenever I open PRV the "note pane" as the ref guide calls it displays the notes as numbers by default and I have to right click it and manually change it in the pop-up window to display as diatonic which then shows the keyboard. How do I make displaying the keyboard (diatonic) the default option? I'm guessing there must be a way because I'm sure I didn't used to have to do this every time, but I can't find it. TIA

Going by the OP title I'd guess that it must be something that another software vendor doesn't do better.

I have the SN, just don't really want to add yet another installer / manager for 1 plug in if it's not up to much anyway. As I suspected. Thank you.

I don't have any Waves plug ins, unlikely to ever buy any, so can anyone that has it is say that it's worth all the hoop jumping required to get it?

Jokes make you sad ? Oh well..........

Should I upgrade from Windows 7 now? What are you using?
paulo replied to Christian Jones's topic in The Coffee House
Bapu has a lot of plug-ins? I did not know that. It's not like he's ever mentioned it or anything.
