  1. Thank you very much for the valuable advice.
  2. Hi, I take it you're referring to the Vel+ slider in the track options (see attached). I didn't change this, as this slider was not even visible in my customized workspace (how can I manually add it; I've looked under the View and Options tabs?)
  3. Thank you, I appreciate your interest in this matter. Please find attached work file. I've deleted all non-relevant tracks and synths from this project - leaving just the percussion and 1x FX tracks, all deriving their sounds from 5 instances of the TTS-1. If you go to Track 4, clip 6, (see screenshot) you will see what happens when trying to alter its velocities in the Step Sequencer. Just for testing -- I made the velocities of every second Snare step almost 0, and muted the entire Kick step track. On my side, this does not alter the loudness of these steps at all. SS test.cwp
  4. Thanks a lot! Forgive my ignorance - what does this update do?
  5. Thanks, everything on this page is about Visual Studio. When I scroll down, THIS (see attached) is the only reference to X64 I see. Is this correct?
  6. Hi, the instrument is the old Cakewalk TTS-1, nothing more. (I still use it for its great drum maps) Whom can I share the work file with?
  7. I've utilized the step sequencer to build my drum tracks very effectively, but now and then, it seems to "forget" the velocities of notes. If you look at the Snare track - after working on this song for a while, the snare seemed to pop out in loudness. I tried to change its velocity from full to 96, but it made no difference. I even turned the velocity knob on the left to zero, but no gain! I quit Cakewalk, and after opening the project again, the velocities sounded normal again. I tested it and muted the snare track, but even after un-muting it, the Step Sequencer treated it as if still being muted. Even after closing and opening the project again, there's no way I can get the snare track to be audible again! Can this sort of thing happen when splitting an SS track and/or unlinking splits or duplicates from their originals, making new ones for alterations? Surely this would be normal practice? Please fix this issue, Bandlab, I'm very dependent on this tool, and is now climbing up the walls.
  8. With regards to Windows, Yes, I'm quite sure everything is up to date. But, I do have both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions for some of my vst's installed. Is there an easy way to get rid of the 32-bit versions? What are the Vdist runtimes you're referring to?
  9. My Caewalk is unstable, even though I have a fairly decent system (128 Gb RAM). I find my latest version of CW sometimes crashes without any warning when I press Play. The timer wheel starts spinning, and then the program just closes. I cannot establish a pattern to figure out why this is happening. Is Sonar more stable?
  10. Thanks for this information -- I would have expected version 2 to include all of the previous one's features.
  11. Yes -- exactly my point 😞
  12. I guess it's time then for Cakewalk to update their web pages 😞
  13. Hi, I'm interested in buying the updated Z3TA+ 2 vst synth from Cakewalk and wanted to download a trial version. However, this has become an impossible endeavor. First, I was required to download and install Command Centre. - I downloaded and installed it, but my Cakewalk account details are not recognized. - Next thing was to try to create a new account through CC -- but this link takes me to a page saying "New Cakewalk account creation is currently disabled" (!) - Next, I tried contacting Product Support about this: I clicked the "E-mail support" button, but this took me to a page saying "Under Construction" (this page has been "under construction" for months! I don't know what to do anymore. I begin to wonder if Bandlab is serious about selling its products.
  14. Thanks, I've fixed this. Do you make use of the Gain feature in Assistant View?
  15. Thanks, I've fixed this. Do you make use of the Gain feature in Assistant View?
  16. AH, that sounds like good advice, tank you!
  17. Where are your input/output sliders on the right when you Click the "Learn" function?
  18. Thanks, I will give it a try.
  19. Hi, Yes, I've looked at the "learn" function but read in the manual "Learn input should not be used to meet loudness compliance standards" This doesn't make sense, because why bother then to include this function? If you're getting 99,9% results with it, I'll start using it.
  20. Thanks, I have done as suggested. I then also noticed that the link between the Gain gauge and output level was unchecked, so I fixed that (see screenshot). I'm now getting better results. Just one more thing; if the Maximizer module is there to add gain, then what's the purpose of the limiter output slider on the right?
  21. Hi, I've done what was suggested: True peak on, and limit set to -1. However, the peak reading above the limiter on the right still reads +1.1 and +1.0. Did I miss something?
  22. Thanks Promidi!
  23. Believe it or not -- I'm not able to find a reference to this setting in the CW documentation. Does it only activate/deactivate the Pro channel? It's the button to the right of the "Post" setting.
  24. Thank you everyone for your valuable contributions -- these help a lot.
  25. AH -- ok, thank you. One final thing: what's the difference between the Gain gage just above it, and the Output Gain slider on the far right?
