Try the following settings. Preferences - Project - MIDI > Zero Controllers When Play Stops. Note: As some plugins use CC1 for level, setting this can silence some plugins with transport stops. Preferences - VST - Send All-Notes-Off Messages on Stop Note: This requires VSTs to correctly respond to CC123 for this to work.

Easiest Way To Make A Sweeping EQ Effect For 1 Track?
Promidi replied to sjoens's topic in Instruments & Effects
That is true. However, some audio effect plugins can have MIDI data routed to them to control parameters. Have a look at the VST menu. If the “MIDI in” is selectiable, then that plugins can accept MIDI data. All Meldaproduction plugins can receive MIDI data. -

Do you have any EQs that allow for CC control? -

Does the EQ sweep for that synth allow for mapping a CC to the knob. If so then use MIDI CCs. You have much more control over CCs via the transform tool than you do with automation nodes. -
Would it be possible to add a horizontal aim assist line for when the mouse on inside the PRV Controller pane? Of course this could an option.

Not at this time. A transform tool for envelope nodes would help with the first item.

PRV - How to show MIDI Note Numbers Automatically?
Promidi replied to Danny Rhodes's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Saving a project template with a locked screenset should to the trick. -
I use screensets every day.... a locked screenset indicator would actually be handy as I do use locked screensets for all of my Project Templates..

I would like to use my roland fp30 digital piano as input via usb cable
Promidi replied to Kikka Pepper's question in Q&A
I just downloaded the user guide for the FP30 and it does look like it can use USB connectivity. I am not sure why the FP80 is not showing up in Preferences - MIDI - Devices. If the drivers are installed properly, then it should be present. I am assuming you have installed the latest drivers. What operating system are you running? I also recommend having on your agenda the purchase of a quality audio interface that comes with native ASIO drivers. This is because any built in, or on board, sound devices are not really designed for professional use and will likely result in some disappointment. -

Promidi replied to Kikka Pepper's question in Q&A
Can it be assumed that you now wish to use Cakewalk by Bandlab. Does the MIDI port that the fp30 is connected to show up in Preferences - MIDI - Devices? If it does, is it selected. Also, what do you intend to use as a the sound source for your sounds? If you wish to use the fp30, then you will have to route the signal from the fp30 via an audio cable from the fp30 to an input of your audio interface. You can also a software synth as the sound source. S1-Electric Piano comes to mind. -
Anyone had a chance to play with the new features yet? (other than just going through the presets)
-
Yes. But Yes, that is a version most people are very unlikely to have. It would be nice if the Bakers could add the ability to create them in Sonar.

As long as hardware only requires standard MIDI events to change parameters, Studioware Panels can be written to control that hardware. For instance, you can cause knob, sliders and buttons to run CAL scripts. There are CAL script commands that can send MIDI events to your hardware MIDI ports. I have written full Studioware Panels to give me full control an external MU100 series module - insert fxs and all
-
What hardware are you referring to? What kind of MIDI Event data does this hardware require?
-
No there isn’t.

What are your PC specs - including graphics card.
-
Did you ever own an older version of Cakewalk or Sonar that came with TTS-1?
-
It doesn't, but I would recommend it, especially for older CPUs. For the i7-14700, a dedicated GPU would be less important. However, you might still benefit from a dedicated GPU Remember, it's not only Cakewalk that would utilise a dedicated GPU, but you overall Windows GUI would as well. If you are worried about fan noise, you could always see about getting a fanless, or a card where the fan only starts up when the GPU load exeeds a given threshold.

Not sure of your set up, but does your Motu M4 have multiple outputs, one of them being what your HD 600 headphones is connected to. If so, is that output selected in Preferences - Audio - Devices. Might want to give it a friendly name like “headphones” or something like that. Then you can create a bus that is routed to that output. I am not sure if I am on the right track (no pun intended)... but I have a similar set up here with a 3rd generation Focusrite 8i6 (without the Sonarworks Reference)

This I have to concur with. (Same goes for timings, but that's a story for another thread) If the velocities are varying a bit too much , I do a compression of the values. My Studioware panels has a slider for this as well.
-
As per title. The “Cut Track”, “Copy Track” and “Paste Track” option could be presented in the right click Track menu (just above “Delete Track”) This would make it sleeker and easier to copy and paste a track to another project. Currently, we have to save a Track Template, and then copy the track data to the clipboard. Then we have to insert the Track Template in the destination project. Then paste the track data from the clipboard to the new track.
-
I am not sure how feasible this would be, but as per title. Maybe even include the option to include track automation data. If this were possible, then MIDI Track Templates could also include synth initialisation event, like volume, pan, filter , resonance, etc. It would also be a more efficient way to transfer tracks (including data) from one project to another.
-
You could zero them all with the transform tool first, then raise them to the value you want them to me. Personally, to set velocities to the same value, I just use one of my Studioware panels that lets you set all selected velocities to the value set by a vertical slider...... It's reasons like this that I wish the bakers would bring back Studioware panel creation in Sonar 2025.

Which OS? Is it fully patched (updated)? Are you using a VPN? Have you turned off your antivirus? How exactly are you installing Cakewalk by Bandlab? (If you’re trying with Bandlab Assistant then stop! Download the Cakewalk installer from this link https://downloads.bandlab.com/cakewalk/setup/CakewalkSetup.exe What else have you tried so far?
