It would be handy if we could set multiple outputs for MIDI tracks. Currently, if we want to route one MIDI track to two or more synths, we have to have an intermediate synth that supports MIDI pass through via the MIDI in MIDI out. Also, we have to remember to keep the Input Echo enabled for a given destination synth's MIDI track for the routing to stay intact.. Probably a routing table would be handy as well so we can see, at a glance, what is routed to what.

I have a vague memory of a bug (that was recently fixed, however) that prevented a freeze operation being applied to quick groups. But in any case, I tested with multiple SITS and I was able to quick group freeze them all. When I split the SITS, I had to select the actual MIDI tracks to get the quick group freeze to work. Selecting just the audio tracks did not perform the quick group freeze.

What exact version of Cakewalk/Sonar are you using? Have you tried selecting the actual MIDI tracks (track 33 and 35), then doing the Hold CTRL Freeze?

Send Sysx when transport stops? Or from a shortcut key?
Promidi replied to Tim Godfrey's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Are you wanting to send the sysex to an external MIDI port? If that's the case, then you can create a CAL script that sends sysex and then create a Keybinding to run that CAL script. Another option, and is a long shot, is that if you have a version of Cakewalk that is pre 2002, you cold write a Studioware Panel to send the Syxex. -
I wouldn't, simply due to the overhead presented by the VM itself.

And don't forget to add FORUM Discount Code at checkout. -
As per title. Can we please have the ability to quickly horizontally Zoom to selection.

I have not used the Navigator for ages. In fact, I have even hidden it via my custom Workspaces.

Check your user area on UVI. There might be a UVI Loyalty Voucher available if you have recently bought stuff from them in the past. Mine was $US40.00 https://www.uvi.net/en/discount

Where's this phantom noise coming from??
Promidi replied to Cobus Prinsloo's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Do you happen to own the individual Arturia instrument this preset comes from? -
I would not rely on that always being the case. Eventually, only the latest version will activate.

UVI World Suite (and adjacent world music VSTs)
Promidi replied to Deidre Rodriguez's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
World Suite 3 runs inside UVI workstation (which is free), which itself is run as a multitimbral synth plugin in your DAW (in your case, Cakewalk). Once thing to observe is that, as UVI workstation only runs on a single core, each instance of UVI workstation should only contain up to 4 instruments for best performance. For each group of 4 UVI instruments, create a new instance of UVI workstation. It should be noted that World Suite 3 can also run inside UVI Falcon (However, this is a paid product - for good reason..... it’s excellent). -
Where's this phantom noise coming from??
Promidi replied to Cobus Prinsloo's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Which is why I asked which preset in Analog V is causing the noise.... -
I have never had any issues with Cakewalk's connection to the internet. There has to be something on your PC causing this. Third party firewall? Going through a VPN? I am assuming you are going through Cakewalk's help menu and only through Cakewalk's help menu....

Either way, it might still be editable.... -
Where's this phantom noise coming from??
Promidi replied to Cobus Prinsloo's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Can you pinpoint which preset of which synth in Analog V is causing the noise? If possible, maybe you can edit the preset to eliminate just the noise component of that preset. However, you will need the full version of that specific synth the do the edit. -

A quick way to see if it's a plugin is by illuminating the FX button in the Mix Module. -

View all USED midi channel in project at once?
Promidi replied to Pathfinder's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
If your MIDI track is set to a specific MIDI channel (rather than none), then MIDI is sent on that MIDI channel rather than the MIDI channel of each individual Event. However, if you are in Single Lane Controller mode in the PRV, then the MIDI channels of the individual Events is retentive. Personally, I set RechannelMIDI=1 in File - Initialisation File (Advanced), so that when I do a clip bounce of MIDI clips, the MIDI channel of each individual Event in the resultant clip changes to match that of the MIDI track that the Events are in. -
Cakewalk will not see Universal Audio Instruments
Promidi replied to musicguy227's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Can you confirm that the UAD instrument plugin files (vst3 or dll) are actually in one of the paths as defined in Preferences - file - VST Settings. Of they are, maybe a reset and scan in in order. -
If Cakewalk support ever asks me to do a clean install of Cakewalk (which has happened to me), I see if I can find another PC to do so. I have way too many custom Cakewalk settings that I have no desire to recreate.

Where are your MIDI tracks being routed to? If I have a Cakewalk project that includes MIDI tracks that are being routed to a vsti and I do an export to audio, I simply select none, then export. I make sure “entire mix” is selected tin the export dialogue box (which it usually is) Works every time.

View all USED midi channel in project at once?
Promidi replied to Pathfinder's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Actually you are right. CAL can set track parameters , but not return them. One work around is to sort tracks by MIDI Channel, then scroll down to the last track and check its MIDI Channel. Then Undo -

You could probably write a CAL script to do this. -
On any MIDI track, enter CC91 Events before any notes. The value determines the reverb intensity.
