I replicated your configuration using AD2 and Pigments. I had Ad2 routed to their respective audio tracks (9 in total) Pigments is routed to it’s respective audio track. I am not sure where you are clicking when you say “double click the input on the console for Addictive Drums”. From the TV, I double clicked the track icon to open the respective synth VSTi. Each synth’s GUI opened correctly. No patch point was created. I have created a keybinding to open the selected synth’s VSTi gui. This works from whatever window is open - including the Console View. This is under “Global Bindings” and is called “Open Soft Synth on Current Track” To delete 21 patch points, open the Track Manger, then select “Order by” track type (three horizontal dots under the bin icon to the right of the GUI). This will collate all the Aux tracks together in the list. The icon to the left of the track’s name will point out the Aux tracks. Then you can hold CTRL while dragging the mouse over the track numbers select all Aux tracks. Make sure only the Aux tracks are selected. Then, from the TV, right click on one of the selected tracks. Then select “Delete x tracks” from the menu. From , the Console View, select “Delete x tracks” from the Track menu.

CbB is bitmap based. Sonar Free and Sonar Premium is vector based. To implement a Theme editor for Sonar would require a complete rewrite . Maybe down the track, the adjustment of more colours can be made possible. However, other than that, I do not see this as being a priority at this time.

Will One-Time Payment Fees Be A Thing
Promidi replied to Mánibranðr Studios's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Now, you know no one is going to be able to answer that definitively, don’t you? -
From CbB help menu, Log off and then log on. Sometimes you need to close existing browser windows first.

I put all articulation maps before any note they need to apply to. I also make sure that Chase Mode is set to “Full” for any articulation maps I have.

Currently, when issuing a Process - Slide, and selecting seconds as the unit, only whole numbers can be entered. Can this be changed to allow a mantissa in the number of seconds. Yes, I know I can use Nudge, but that is a bit of a kludge (I know, that rhymes). However, using Process - Slide, allowing for a mantissa for the number of seconds, would be much quicker. This is similar to what was added to the Menu Process - Length percent.

If you get this issue again, I would be looking at a new graphics card.

Can it be assumed that you have already tried uninstalling, download the latest, and reinstalling your graphic drivers?

I did a fresh install of Sonar Free on a PC that had never had a previous version of Cakewalk installed. When running Sonar Free for the first time on this PC, and it came to the workspace choice, it only let me select “None”. Clicking on the other options did nothing. So maybe if you are running Sonar Free, “None” is what it uses. Of course, if you signed into the Cakewalk Product Centre with an account that has Bandlab Membership, then you would be able to select a Workspace. I think that the part of the initial Sonar start up that asks about workspaces, there should be the gold crown present like other parts of Sonar to indicate a premium feature (if you are using the Free Tier).

Is this not what Preferences - Customisation - Backup/Restore Settings does? See: http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=CakewalkSonar&language=3&help=0x20FCB

Version 2024.12 Build 125 is the most recent version of CbB. Cakewalk by Bandlab will not reactivate after August 1. An activated CbB will stay activated after August 1. However, when that activation runs out, it will not reactivate. When that happens depends on when the last time CbB reactivated. My understanding is that an unactivated CbB can still load projects. OK you will get a toast that CbB is unactivated. You will not be able to save or export your projects. Going to Sonar Free Tier (or preferably, Sonar Premium via a Bandlab paid Membership) would be the way to go. See: https://www.cakewalk.com/sonar#FAQ Note: If any of the above is incorrect, I am happy to be corrected.

Problems with delay per articulation feature.
Promidi replied to Nigel Simmons's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I think that would cause a tear in the space-time continuum. Granted the destruction could be limited to merely our own galaxy..... We wouldn’t want to break causality........ -
Yes, that is why. Until August 1, 2025, only version 2024.12 build 125 of Cakewalk by Bandlab will refresh its activation. After l August 1, 2025 no version of Cakewalk by Bandlab will refresh its activation. Your options are to either: · download and install Sonar Free tier (Or Premium if you have an active Bandlab membership) Or · If you have a licence to do so, install and use a previous version of Cakewalk (Prior to Cakewalk by Bandlab).

Drum Replacer is present in my Region Effects menu. Can it be assumed that you have done a Reset and scan. Are the Drum Replacer files physically present on your PC? On mine, there are two folders under Sonar Resources (mine is a custom location) Here are the Drum Replacer folders are they appear on mine. Yours will be different. However this should help you locate them on your system, if present. D:\Sonar resources\Drum Replacer (this has the actual content) D:\Sonar resources\Cakewalk Shared\Shared Utilities\Internal\Drum Replacer (this has the VST3 file and graphics)

Problems with delay per articulation feature.
Promidi replied to Nigel Simmons's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
With my test, my MIDI prepare buffer size is 50ms and I used a negative delay of -300ms and the articulation map still produced the required result. Also, please correct me if I am wrong on this one, but can MIDI prepare buffer size not be dynamic depending on the MIDI data stream? See: https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002369593-What-s-the-difference-between-Cakewalk-Sonar-and-Cakewalk-by-BandLab -
And unless you specifically configured that workspace not to, it would have loaded the keybindings stored in that workspace. If that workspace is now being used in Sonar Free (and is now locked) then keybindings stored in that workspace will still be loaded - even after you have changed your keybindings yourself.

Problems with delay per articulation feature.
Promidi replied to Nigel Simmons's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I can’t see that would not be possible........... -
What version did you have before installing Sonar Free, and in that version, did you have workspaces enabled? I believe that when you install Sonar Free, workspaces in Sonar Free are locked to the workspace that your previous version of Cakewalk used and you cannot edit them. Remember, unless you have specifically configured a workspace not to, workspaces will load its stored Keybindings. Maybe this is what is happening in Sonar Free.

Problems with delay per articulation feature.
Promidi replied to Nigel Simmons's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I tried a simple piano phrase and a staccato string phase on a second track with an articulation with a -300ms delay on each track here and this played fine. All notes on both track played with their correct respective velocities and controllers ( I used CC10 on the string track to alternate the string panning as part of the test) Synths used Arturia Piano V3 and 8DIO Strings anthology. The articulation map started before any MIDI events in their respective tracks and the articulation map durations were for their entire respective phrases. This is with the latest Sonar 2025.7 build 63
