  1. I have to admit, I too like to adjust colours and was a little disappointed when the list of adjustable colours in Sonar was reduced. It reminded me a bit of George Orwell's “1984” when a character mentioned that the new edition of the Newspeak dictionary was thinner than the last edition.
  2. I am wondering if you can try adjusting the windows contrast using the windows colour management tool. Start run > colorcpl.exe > advanced tab > Calibrate Display
  3. In all the times I've had to contact cakewalk support, I have always had good experiences and good outcomes.
  4. First thing I tried, didn't work.....
  5. I stand by my last comment where I said the more 32bit plugins in your project, the more potential for instability. If you ask Cakewalk support, they will probably tell you the same thing.
  6. Please define “the latest update” Are you meaning a Cakewalk by Bandlab update or Windows update? An, in asnswer to your question , no I am not having “glitchy issues with the latest update” - be that the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab (2024.11 build 120) update or Windows update (Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045.5198).
  7. With a MIDI track selected, Press i to bring up the MIDI track inspector See: (item C) http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Inspectors.3.html#1220713
  8. I was once told by support to do a clean install for an issue I was having enter tempos in CbB. (Entering one tempo entry resulted in two entries being entered). I replied that I will not be doing that. I too have my Cakewalk settings set up how I like them that would take me ages to set them up again. Fortunately I had access t another PC that had never had Cakewalk installed. That counted as a fresh install. The tempo issue remained. It ended up that this tempo issue was an actual bug that was fixed in the next update. It’s a bit like Microsoft telling an end user to fully reinstall Windows for even the most minor of issues.
  9. Works for CbB as well.
  10. With CbB, yes you do need the latest version (which at the time of this post is 2024.11 Build 120) to be activatable. Previous versions will eventually cease to activate. Try Jbridge. That might get you out of your pickle.....
  11. Actually, yes, you’re right. They do. When I changed Yamaga XG (Think of XG as GM on steroids) devices to an SW1000XG, I also had to reduce the reverb levels as sent via CC91.
  12. I am so glad I have the ability to hide posts on these forums.
  13. You probably should not be using 32 VSTs anyway as the more you have in your profects, the more potential for instability you are introducing. If you absolutely must use 32bit plugins, and you are having issues with BitBridge, then try using Jbridge (Note: this requires a small payment). https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/ Personally, I would be looking for 64bit equivalents.
  14. If the players are not responding to CC91 and CC93, then they are not proper GM players. Play the files using a MIDI monitor to make sure the CC are actually being sent.
  15. Do you have a backup? Have you done a Windows search of all your drives for *.CWP files? I have done many Cakewalk updates and have never lost project files. Even if I did , I would be restoring from the project files from the previous night’s backup.
  16. I would still uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your Audio Interface even though they are up to date.
  17. Have you tried uninstalling the Vdist runtimes (as opposed to doing the repair install), then reinstalling reinstalling the latest Vdist runtimes? (This is different to a mere repair). These can be downloaded from here. https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads If that does not work, when you are at a state where Cakewalk by Bandlab does not start, can you check the Windows task manager to make sure that there is not a “cakewalk.exe” process still running in the background. If there is, then maybe maybe a plugin or a driver is preventing the “cakewalk.exe” process from closing properly. If this is the case, you might want to Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your Audio Interface. While you’re at it, you might want to head to the manufacturer’s website to see if there is a later version (Don’t use Windows Update).
  18. The description for this forum is “Provide feedback on features, ideas and requests for future releases of Cakewalk by BandLab.” However, can feature requests for Sonar 2024/25 also be placed here? If so, should not the description be “Provide feedback on features, ideas and requests for future releases of Sonar 2024/2025”?
  19. The SY77 is a 90s synth. It uses 5 pin din MIDI cabled. The OP needs the driver for what ever MIDI device they are using. The OP also said “lately”, which, I believe implies tat it as working, but now its not.
  20. I believe this would explain why Eventides BlackHole Emmersive only provides two outputs when used in Sonar/CbB, even though it is a surround sound reverb. The “at present” in your statement, gives me some hope that one day this might change..... Cantabile 4.0 does indeed show all of BlackHole Emmersive’s plugn outputs.
  21. There must be something you have missed. Is the SY77 actually transmitting? How have you confirmed this? For the MIDI track that is set to receive the SY77 MIDI data: · Is the correct MIDI channel set. Is the MIDI track meter moving when you press keys on the sy77 · Is input echo on? What have you tried so far?
  22. Have you tried Real Time Export? Are there any other plugins in the project or just Spire? What else have you tried?
