  1. Export/Bounce to Tracks with Fast Bounce disabled should work though. You can try an audible bounce if you want to check it while it goes.
  2. @winkpain Also interesting, apparently if you do an audible bounce for the freeze, I'm getting the Wet level for BREVERB, but not the EQ On/Off to render. Doing a bounce to track with audible bounce seems to work for everything too.
  3. Yeah, I can see it in the project. The one thing that might be tricky is the fact that you're using jumps, but if I replace that with linear curves it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'll see if I can narrow what's going on further.
  4. @winkpain I can see what you mean in your project. Looks like SONAR Platinum behaves the same, so this isn't a recent thing, but we'll investigate. Weirdly enough, I was testing with the Concrete Limiter, if I add that with an envelope for the threshold to the track, that still renders correctly even though the other modules don't.
  5. Is it specific to any particular module(s)? Also if you try a simple test automating something in a new project, does that render normally?
  6. Is it possible you're missing something in the export/bounce options? When I try it on my end, the automation renders correctly when doing a bounce or export. Maybe post a screenshot of the Export Audio dialog?
  7. yeah, i'd update the driver as @scook suggested. Can you record a clean signal if you bypass the external mic pre and go straight into the Focusrite? Also you could try hitting the "reset config to defaults" button on the Configuration File tab of the Preferences in the odd case your audio initialization file has become corrupted. @Noel Borthwick did a lot of work with Focusrite when implementing ASIO improvements.
  8. Holding CTRL will temporarily disable docking while dragging windows.
  9. Since SONAR Platinum, SONAR/Cakewalk by BandLab hasn't really hung its hat on the version number releases. As mentioned, we push updates on a regular basis gradually making changes to the app rather than having a big release with a patch or two per year. Cakewalk is still in active development, so there's always more in the pipeline. Nowadays the application version number simply changes with the year, so starting in 2021 it'll hit 27.xx.x.xxx.
  10. It sounds like you may need to configure your audio card for Cakewalk. This can be done in the Preferences. If you're using an integrated audio card that came with your computer, you should set this to WASAPI Shared or MME. If you're using a dedicated audio interface, that would work better in the ASIO driver mode.
  11. @marled Can you send us a copy of your project to look at? A lot of AudioSnap stuff is very material-dependent, so if we had a concrete example where you're seeing your project go wrong, that'd be very helpful. Thanks!
  12. I'm currently not able to reproduce this issue. Can you upload a project where you're seeing this happen?
  13. Can you elaborate on this? Are the track/clip states changing? Is the change only audible in the render?
  14. Hi @GreenLight, I was able to reproduce your issue, so I went ahead and logged it, so it's in our system for when we have a chance to look at it. Thanks!
  15. @Guillermo Diaz Can you get us a dump file for when it's stuck on the splash page? You can find details on how to do that here:
  16. That's simply talking about the images for your audio. What you see in your clips are the "wave pictures" that the app draws, then it caches then so it doesn't have to redraw when it doesn't need to.
  17. Hi Kenny, Based on your dump files, it looks like your crashes are originating within SpectraLayers itself. Unfortunately I can't get a repro with SpectraLayers 7 on my end to troubleshoot this further. Your best option is probably to contact Steinberg directly.
  18. You just need to bear in mind your signal/monitoring chain. Enabling Input Echo on the track allows you to hear your signal as it's running through the track/audio engine in real time. The recorded signal will always be the dry original input from the device, it's just routed through your project in real time. Just make sure you have your direct monitoring through your audio card also disabled otherwise you will hear both the direct monitoring and your signal in Cakewalk. Direct monitoring is set up through your audio card, but is always before the signal gets to the DAW.
  19. The SONAR Mac prototype was discontinued, but was working, albeit in a limited capacity when compared to the standard Windows version. It was working well in and of itself at the time we were experimenting with it, however it lacks the ability to work with external AU/VST plugins. I can't say that I've tried it with more recent MacOS updates though. The Mix Editor in BandLab is an entirely different animal as it's a much broader cross platform app and ties in directly with BandLab's social/collaborative network. Cakewalk by BandLab is the continued development from the SONAR platform and runs on Windows.
  20. They're a convenience thing. Some people prefer mapping parameters to something tactile. They're also useful if you like manually automating stuff, but on the whole they're 100% not essential to a DAW setup. On my VS-700, I'd say probably 90% of what I use on it are the transport/jog wheel and the save/undo functions. But everyone's mileage varies.
  21. Ah come on, the Custom Control Bar module has only been there since SONAR Platinum... you're talking like 5 years max! ?
  22. This is working normally for me, have you tried it with different projects? Try creating a new simple one with just audio and see if there's any difference.
  23. We stopped officially supporting Windows 7 after Microsoft themselves dropped Windows 7 support. That said, we do not block install for Win 7, we notify you that we're not specifically testing against Windows 7. The app should generally be okay, but we just don't make any guarantees.
  24. If you can upload examples where the algorithm isn't working we can pass this along to zplane.
  25. A dedicated audio interface is really the best solution, but if you're having trouble with WASAPI, integrated audio cards should be able to play back with the MME driver mode.
