  1. check your download folder for the correct file, hold the Windows key and press "r" to bring up the Run prompt. Type: %appdata%\bandlab-assistant\Downloads. If you do not see 26.08.0.100 in the installer file, delete what you currently have here. Then Exit out of BandLab Assistant, reopen/log in, then try the install again.
  2. How a Jump in the envelope behaves is that there's no active changes to the envelope for the duration of the jump, then it immediately goes to the next node's value. this is as opposed to having either a linear or fast/slow curve. You could make the same behavior with linear curves, but you'd need to add more nodes and set everything up at right angles. It's just a different workflow option. Your project is creating jumps when using the draw too and drawing in spaces away from the existing envelope. If you for instance double-clicked the existing envelope to make a node, then dragged that, everything would stay linear. Or you could select a section of time and use the shelf tool (dragging from the top of the clip) if you wanted a straight linear "jump"... there's a few different ways to crack a nut depending on what you're trying to do in any given circumstance.
  3. I'm not sure how else to explain what's included in the sub installers than saying they're plugins... not without just giving you a bunch of links to docs about all of these plugins which are readily available both in our documentation and many user driven tutorials docs that are out there. It's bonus content that used to be included with the paid versions of SONAR so that way you can use additional features immediately with Cakewalk by BandLab. They're broken into separate installers because that means you don't have to download and install them every time you do a Cakewalk update. Or maybe you don't like virtual instruments and want to save the hard drive space? Drum Replacer could still be handy there if you want to beef up a part though. Some people like to make custom CbB themes, you'll find a bunch of them on this forum or there's Facebook groups of people who share their own custom themes. Other people don't have an interest to make their own, in which case, you don't need to install it. Melodyne is only a trial, but we leverage features from Melodyne for functions like tempo extraction which will work, even with the demo version.
  4. None of the add-on installers in the menu that pops up when clicking "install" for Cakewalk have anything to do with social media. You've got installers for the Studio Instruments VSTs (this installer also includes demo projects), the Drum Replacer plugin, a demo of Melodyne, and the Theme Editor if you want to customize Cakewalk's appearance. None of those are required to install/run Cakewalk, but they're all just additional free tools.
  5. Please try the 2020.08 update which has a number of optimizations for zooming. It is available now to update through BandLab Assistant.
  6. This will get fixed for the final release of what's now the 2020.08 CbB update, so you don't have to do anything. It's simply a minor clip drawing issue that's now been addressed.
  7. Hi Kevin, Looks like this is an issue with there being a "Jump" (the dotted line rather than solid) between the node you drew and the one where the envelope resumes. I went ahead and logged that to fix when we get a chance, but if you right-click the dotted part and switch it to "linear" or any other shape, it should draw correctly. Thanks!
  8. In the Tempo View, the first entry cannot be deleted, however all other ones can be deleted, so if you had inserted a change at measure 1 that you wanted to remove, you need to change the tempo at measure 1, then remove any subsequent unwanted changes.
  9. No, we don't require Melodyne updates. Earlier versions of Melodyne 4 were subject to stability issues, so we strongly recommend making sure you're on the latest version available to you.
  10. What version of Melodyne 4 are you using? Valid licenses of Melodyne 4 should have gotten a free upgrade to v5 I believe, check with Celemony for that. Early versions of 4 had some stability issues that were subsequently addressed.
  11. What's the audio device and the driver that you're currently using?
  12. We're currently in the process of reaching out to Akai to look into this.
  13. if the audio plays fine, then it might just be a picture cache issue. You could try right-clicking and going to Associated Audio Files, then recompute picture. Or just delete the contents of Picture Cache in your Cakewalk Projects folder before opening the project.
  14. You could try drag and dropping the MIDI from the Super Drummer sequence to the track then freezing. The loops work either in CbB itself or within Superior Drummer's internal sequencer, so it's mostly just a convenience thing as to where you want to set that up. You could make a copy of the project to test dumping the MIDI directly into the project.
  15. Have you tried freezing Superior Drummer? It's not small on resources, but basically the simple way to boil things down is to try playing only audio files (try a new project with some stems) and see if that plays cleanly. If it does, then you've probably got some plugins taxing your system in your other project. If just audio is getting a bunch of pops, particularly with the latency set high, then it might be some kind of conflict with the audio card. Sometimes it helps to change the slot the PCI card is in or see if there's anything sharing resources with it that could be throttling performance.
  16. Is it specific to UAD plugins? If you have a reproducible scenario in a project, you can send us a copy with just that track and we can try and take a look.
  17. In this case, I don't think we necessarily need the audio, so you can either post here or PM me with the .cwp for the project attached. Otherwise dropbox/google drive links always work. We've got a pretty healthy collection of plugins to try, so it's always worth a shot, or we can reach out to other vendors if there's an issue too. Also if it's not necessarily a plugin crash, it's helpful to see if we can repro the issue on our end regardless. Thanks!
  18. You'll need to do the uninstall in Assistant, which will then allow you to reinstall once that is complete. As mentioned the uninstall doesn't remove your settings, just the main app components, so when you then reinstall, it'll inherit your settings from before.
  19. What's the audio card and driver mode? It's possible you've got a mismatch between your project sample rate and what's being exported. That can sometimes happen when device drivers don't play nice on the system.
  20. Can you upload one of your projects to see if we can reproduce the issue? if it closes okay in Safe Mode, I wonder if there's a plugin that you're using that's crashing on project close.
  21. Check if Cakewalk.exe is still running in the Task Manager when it closes like that. If so, create a dump file for us to see why it's exiting like that. I'd also check to see if it happens with just a new blank project or if it's related to the files you're working with. If a new project closes okay, try opening one of your projects in Safe Mode by holding shift when opening the project from the Start Screen (or File | Open), then hit No to All when prompted about plugins. See if it then closes normally (just be sure you don't save unless you want your project stripped of plugins). Details on generating a dump file can be found here:
  22. Yeah, the content installers for Platinum are going to check that Platinum is in fact installed. Short answer, if you install all of the Plat/Content, just then reinstall Cakewalk by BandLab on top. All your settings will persist, but any shared components that got overwritten by Platinum's install will be restored by doing the CbB reinstall.
  23. You can send any issues to support for sure. I like to think we're pretty good about monitoring any issues that are reported on the forum and making sure they're logged internally if not already. We're not that hard to get a hold of. ?
