I had an issue with them a couple of years ago, they have a forum which if you're lucky and are able to find to voice your issue, you might get a reply from an employee within about 3 weeks. They have exactly 3 plugins that are all about 10 years old and they constantly have coding issues or some problem. I would recommend trying something else for your 808 kick drums, there are a few decent ones. It is definately not Sonar causing your problem.

forgot what a nightmare installing melda plugins is, trying to install one uninstalls all, I had an awful time previously with a drum machine I bought for £7 took about a day to install the damn thing. Edit, managed to get them going again after about 6 or 7 attempts. I watched a video they have about the installation, they have their bases covered talking about "if there are glitches in installation" do this, just make a video saying our installation software is rubbish and you are likely to have issues, but thanks for buying our plugins. People would have more respect if they did that. they do make great plugins though. grrr.

sublab is junk and the people who run it are clowns, better getting off your computer imo.

caved in, first plugin for months, actual useful one and the UVI piano, very good, £12.67 👍 have an arturia piano, but I think this one is better sounding.

it's "politics" not politics, no politicians involved. aristotelean politics. (I think they dislike plugin boutique more than politics on here for some reason tbh)

This is Deals Politics. Stays in Deals imo.

Melodic Techno Analog Studio Jam feat. Inge - 'Vrij' (Dutch)
Mr No Name replied to Nick Blanc's topic in Songs
Nice track, enjoyed, Inge is a great singer. -
on a side note, I seen a comparison test between the uad and plugin alliance plugins, the ones that are the same that they both sell are literally identically coded. uad's were twice the price at least, 10x the price if you factor pa's sales.

good move by them, I noticed alot of their plugins are cheap nowadays, lot of sales, used to be extortionate prices, either people are not buying as many plugins or there are a glut of new developers, the quality of the plugins has never been in doubt, most I've paid is £40 for one. no plug in is worth more than 40 quid.

Do you use a plugin or phase align manually?
Mr No Name replied to jesse g's topic in The Coffee House
if you know how to mic a drum kit properly and with the right type of microphones this won't be an issue. on overhead mic won't need phase aligning. -
great song, reminds me of driving a big american car down a big empty freeway, A feedback or suggestion would be to change the fade out at the end, its a bit linear and long. Listening to the rest of your songs as we speak, very nice stuff.

End of Windows 10 Leaves PC Charities with Tough Choice
Mr No Name replied to kitekrazy1's topic in The Coffee House
"It seems even more unlikely that those 58.7 percent will be paying $61 per year for Microsoft’s Extended Security Update program, which will bring continued patches to Windows 10 PCs after October 2025." there you go. they can extend it but you must pay. fwiw, windows defender (security updates) can be replaced with any 3rd party security program, also people forget microsoft themselves are the number one hackers of your computer. the code changes that software and websites continually change will render the OS obsolete long before security updates. i.e "this software is not compatible with windows 10", developers are not going to do that for many years. they would be foolish to. -
32-Bit Conversion Explained - SSL Audio Interfaces 23 January 2025 15:15 This FAQ aims to demystify what 32-bit conversion technology implies, resolve the most common misconceptions and provide some insight as to why we use 32-bit converters in SSL products such as PURE DRIVE QUAD, PURE DRIVE OCTO, SSL 12, SSL 18, SSL 2 MKII and SSL 2+ MKII “Do I still need to worry about setting the input gain when using my SSL device that has 32-bit converters? I’ve heard 32-bit devices can’t be clipped...” In short - yes, you do still need to set an appropriate gain to make sure your SSL device does not run the risk of clipping. Why? We use 32-bit fixed point (also referred to as ‘integer’) converters. The confusion comes from a small subset of audio devices on the market that happen to use a 32-bit floating-point recording system. These devices usually involve complex multi-converter systems per recording channel (most often two converters, covering different ranges) as a way to achieve an extended dynamic range at the A-D stage. Also, the digital stream from the A-D stage is presented in a 32-bit float format, which numerically allows for a dynamic range beyond that of the actual converter stage. Such products are designed to suit specific industry needs like field-recording, where astonishingly high dynamic range material needs to be recorded or where it is not possible to know beforehand exactly how loud your source is going to be. Imagine been tasked with recording a space shuttle lift-off and having to ask for another take because your recorder clipped... Our friends at Sound Devices do offer products aimed at field-recording applications that deploy 32-bit floating point recording formats, if you’re curious to find out more about the technology. https://support.solidstatelogic.com/hc/en-gb/articles/24642897272221-32-Bit-Conversion-Explained-SSL-Audio-Interfaces looks like a decent interface tbf.

CBB Activation forcing me to connect to Facebook
Mr No Name replied to James Cartwright's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
the "security" of the cakewalk daw has nothing to do with google or facebook, who is going to hack into someone elses daw? Ridiculous nonsense. They'll be sending people around to peep through your letterbox by next week. -

Cakewalk not showing driver in preferences ?
Mr No Name replied to Mr No Name's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Can you scan for drivers the same way you scan for plugins? -
How do you force Cakewalk to show Asio drivers in preferences? I have installed Audient ID22 drivers for an interface and the specific driver shows in 2 other DAWS and are useable, Cakewalk doesn't show the driver in choices in preferences, but does show and load the inPuts and outputs for the interface? It's only doing half the job it seems. How do you force the Asio driver into Preferences? can you drag and drop it in the registry or some folder? needless to say the interface is as yet unuseable in Cakewalk. thanks in advance.

are people going to bother counterfeiting their software if they only charge $7.99 for it ?
