adding sustain to a midi piano part
Canopus replied to RICHARD HUTCHINS's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Seriously, if you still have got your Roland Juno-DS, the only sensible way to add sustain would be to use a sustain pedal. According to the Juno-DS Owner's Manual, any Roland sustain pedal in the DP series should work. I don’t have a Juno, but I do have a Roland DP-10 sustain pedal which I can highly recommend. Simply connect it using the input called PEDAL HOLD. -

Or, you could get a sustain pedal. -
Too little, too late. You're beaten by cclarry. He posted this almost eight hours ago. In fact, he mentioned that the code DEALOFACENTURY would cut the price to $10.

The "D:\Jenkins" part indicates you've downloaded a development version that was never intended for end users. I remember seeing something like this reported a week or two ago, but it was soon replaced by the correct version. The solution is to download and install whatever version you've got once again.

I gave you an answer in your other similar thread:

You mentioned this in another thread and there you supplied a link to https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Buy-Now/SONAR-Platinum. That was the monthly Rent to Own price for SONAR Platinum back in 2017. As you probably know, SONAR Platinum is long gone, never to return. As for the new Cakewalk Sonar, no details have been released regarding a possible purchase price. There is something called a Backstage Pass currently available, but unless you feel comfortable with that, I think the best thing to do right now is to wait until all the options are on the table. There are already many threads on this topic in the forum. Here's a link to the main thread:

Interesting. Something completely different from the usual EZkeys sound expansions.

Converting Audio to Midi - having problems
Canopus replied to Roy Slough's topic in Instruments & Effects
I guess that's why it's called Drum Replacer. Great that everything finally worked for you. -
Upgraded to Sonar...now VST scan hangs?!?!?!?
Canopus replied to minminmusic's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I'd guess one of two things: You might have added some folders into your VST Scan Paths that shouldn't be there . A picture of Edit > Preferences > File > VST Settings might help. Or, you might have added some non-plugin dll file into one of your valid scan paths. -
Samma här. Båda två för 90 kronor. Inte illa.

STRIX Instruments PRIPYAT Pianos Sale (Exclusive) for $19
Canopus replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Ah, but there are differences. You simply have to learn how to interpret Fleer's commendations. Here's what they actually mean: Come to mama = 5 Da shiznet = 4 Pretty, pretty good = 3 Great stouph = 2 Nice juan = 1 Remarkable = 0 WUP = -1 -
Converting Audio to Midi - having problems
Canopus replied to Roy Slough's topic in Instruments & Effects
Unfortunately, it seems like the video is based on a slightly older version of Drum Replacer than the one currently in CbB. The MIDI Notes in the video at the bottom right of each kit piece (which you can’t find) are now located inside the area to the left where the wave forms are displayed. Other than that, the video should be correct as far as I can see (although surprisingly scarce). There are two ways to pick replacement sounds. The first one is to select from the small number of available sounds that come with Drum Replacer, or from any other one-shot files you might have on your computer. The other one is to use a plugin like Addictive Drums, or Toontrack EZDrummer. Most likely, you will get a better result using the latter, but if you haven’t got a good drum plugin, you've got to go with whatever one-shots you have. Both methods are described in the video. I think the important thing to remember, in order to get a natural sound, is to find a mix between the old material and the new drum sounds. You do that by adjusting the Dry/Wet knob. -

I would download a new copy and try to install over the botched installation.

cakewalk failed to load 80004002 (plug-ins)
Canopus replied to Pascal Auger's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Also, simply bypassing (deactivating) an effect that’s placed in the FX bin, while still keeping it there, will not free up the memory it occupies. The reason for this being so that it may quickly be activated again. -

If you only want to replace the recorded drum sounds, I think the obvious solution would be to use Cakewalk’s built-in Drum Replacer. -
Rigid Audio Create your own Kontakt instruments with Kontakt GUI Maker ?
Canopus replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Finally, something of interest from Rigid Audio. But it has been a long time coming; it was first scheduled to be released in October 2016. -
If a Sonar Theme Editor actually turns up in some distant future, my guess is that it will be at best a paint-by-numbers coloring app. As for modifying icons, not so much.

Vector graphics works even with that setting disabled, but, to be honest, I have no idea what intended use that Preference setting has.

The solution to get Psyn II to display in Sonar is to disable Enhanced Display Scaling in Edit > Preferences > Customization > Display | Enhanced Display Scaling (requires restart). I’ve seen other display issues that can be resolved by not having this option enabled, but that’s a discussion for the Beta forum.

Open source "Cakewalk by Bandlab" after release of Cakewalk Sonar
Canopus replied to Steven Warwick's question in Q&A
Seriously? It’s basically the same code. -
But only one iLok activation. That’s puny.

So, here’s my plan. I will lean back in my chair until Sonar is released and the question whether it will be possible to buy a permanent license, or if Sonar only will be available through a BSP membership, has finally been decided. I have always stayed away from software subscriptions (ask Adobe) and intend to do so in the future as well. As for the BSP package, I’m only interested in Sonar. While waiting, I’ll keep using CbB as long as it runs. If CbB stops working before any such decision has been made, I have both Cubase and Studio One installed on my computer. Also, I have SONAR Platinum installed, so I will be able to open my unfinished Cakewalk projects reasonably well. In a worst-case scenario, I certainly won’t change DAW lightheartedly. I’ve always loved Cakewalk, but I will move on if the only option is a BandLab membership.

New "Add Track" dialog - "instrument track per output" is always grayed out?
Canopus replied to Salvatore Sorice's question in Q&A
Sorry, it's from the beta. I later reported this in the proper place.
