Internal error mystery when exporting a track
Canopus replied to RICHARD HUTCHINS's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Maybe it would be a good idea to add that in some form to the error message. It's more descriptive than "Can't save" and would probably give most users enough ideas to understand what needs to be done. -
I own both V Collection 9 and Pigments. My crossgrade price for FX Collection 4 is €69. That’s 30 effects I might actually never use.

So you didn't see the Discord link to Cakewalk Next you were given by OutrageProductions in one of the first posts of this thread?
-
But do note the requirements: 90GB.
-
Discussions about Next should be done on Discord, not on this forum. But to answer your question, if you don’t find scoring in Next, it’s either because it hasn’t yet been implemented (remember, it’s a work in progress), or, more likely, that Next’s primary target group probably isn’t old-school musicians, able to read sheet music.

Different sampling rates set on your two interfaces? And the MOTU's differs from the project’s?

Is there a hidden Easter Egg in this last version of CbB?
Canopus replied to Canopus's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Okay, then I'll just sneak out the back door before anyone sees me. -
I’m not quite sure, but is there possibly an Easter Egg hidden in Cakewalk by BandLab 2023.09? If you from the main menu select Help > About and then click on the upper part of the tallest building in the splash screen, a text appears that display the names of the people involved in the Cakewalk development. The notification ends with "Acknowledgements – Thanks to over 30 years of dedicated engineers, who laid the foundation of Cakewalk." which to me indicates that it is indeed an CbB farewell Easter Egg. But, of course, it could also be that I just haven’t observed it before. If so, I’ll walk out the back door.

That’s definitely a more correct interpretation.

On a side note, I’ve never before seen a Windows error code being that offensive. MF? Watch your tongue, young popup!

These go to eleven.

Cakewalk by BandLab is a Multiple-Document Interface (MDI) application, just like Microsoft Office once used to be. You can have multiple projects open in CbB, but they won’t show as separate instances of CbB in the taskbar. Instead, the projects are located in separate windows inside the parent application window, one on top of the other. To display two Cakewalk projects at the same time, you open both projects and then from the main menu select Window > Tile in Columns (or Window > Tile in Rows, if you so prefer).

I bought two expansions and paid for one yesterday without any problems, so if there's a bug it must have started to appear in the last 24 hours.

To restore the big icon, from the menu select Views > Icons > Show Icons To restore the small icon: Views > Icons > Track View > Show in Header Also, if you’re using your own track icons and would like the big and the small icon to be in sync (as I do): Views > Icons > Track View > Show Custom in Header

I don’t think so. Anyone who buys Sonar shouldn’t have any reason to reactivate some old version of CbB. If some critical bug indeed would appear in Sonar after the six-month activation period of CbB has run out, I would expect the Bakers to do anything in their power to correct it in Sonar as soon as possible. I would not expect them to change the activation scheme of CbB. But I will refrain from further speculation and wait for the official release.

It's all in the name you just gave them . They need some return on their investment.

Ah, confirmed by Fleer. Sounds pretty, pretty good!

Interesting. Let’s hope owners of Falcon 2.8 will have a free update to Falcon 3. I bought Falcon when it was released back in 2015 and have yet to pay for an update.

Why is the Cakewalk forum page all of a sudden really small?
Canopus replied to T Boog's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
In case you’re running Chrome on Android, there’s an option called Desktop site in the top-right menu. Uncheck that option and the size should go back to normal. -
Sure, but the answer depends on what you mean. If you want to play sounds that comes with a plugin or other sound generating software installed on your computer, then you do it the way Will said, using a MIDI (DIN) or USB cable, depending on available outputs or your keyboard. If you, on the other hand, want to record sounds that are generated inside your keyboard, then you must connect your keyboard to your computer using audio cables.

(Not a deal) NI Komplete Kontrol S-Series MK1 is dead
Canopus replied to 記念パピコkinen_papico's topic in Deals
I’ve had a Roland DP-10 sustain pedal for years (in fact, I’ve got two). One great thing about it, besides from being rock solid, is that it has a rubber foldout on which you place your heel. That makes it possible to use the pedal even on slippery floors and carpets without it sliding away. Just fold the plate back when you don’t need it. -
A bug is when something doesn’t work as documented, not when something doesn’t work the way you personally would expect it to. As you registered on this forum about an hour ago, and hence probably doesn't have much previous experience with Cakewalk, I would assume that what you regard as bugs instead are mostly, or more likely completely, caused by lack of knowledge. Some would just say RTFM, but I'll be polite and only refer you to the tutorials sub-forum as a good starting point. As to your question, saving your work often is always a good habit, and that's regardless application. But it's not a panacea for lack of knowledge. Finally, if you indeed would like to have help with some problem, you'll likely find it here. But you must be much, MUCH, more specific.
