Everyone should be primed with the $1400 stimulant upon your return Larry! ?

Dimension Pro, Rapture and Z3TA+ installers needed
abacab replied to Aksel Holand's topic in Instruments & Effects
I think the OP abandoned this thread back in January. -
Imagine what Total Studio could be with IKM, NI, & iZotope together. That would make for one hell of a Product-Portal-Access-Manager! ?
-
I have the free Ample stuff and a paid Bass. Never had an issue with stuck keys. Sounds like it may be a MIDI error, like note off events being dropped somewhere along the way.
-
And the full price of the last option is $59. That ain't free, but it does a lot for the money! https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/3-Studio-Tools/93-Music-Theory-Tools/6439-Scaler-2

You would need to have both the serial number and activation code. Both would be available in your old account, but there's no way to get a new one. -
What's the Deal with Audio Plugin Deals? (Not a Deal)
abacab replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
Surely you jest! That thing was legendary, back when ROMplers ruled! I've got a Roland JV-880, JV-1080, and XP-30 (JV-2080 based). Although they sound good, that sample ROM is no match for the 350+ GB I've got tied up in IKM samples for SampleTank, Syntronik, and Miroslav. -
Scaler 2.2 has added a new Bass Mode, with over 100 basslines categorized and capable of responding to your chords.
-
Scaler 2 is another option for creating chord progressions and bass lines. https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/plugin-boutique-scaler-2 Now with key and scale detection for MIDI and audio.
-
So that code gets the S1 Pro 5 upgrade down to around the $100 mark. That's pretty much what I paid for it last December at Best Service. Haven't noticed any deals yet going lower...

Hey RGit, Many others have discovered that if you are using ASIO, you should only have ONE version of ASIO installed on your machine, to avoid conflicts. Some hosts have a hard time making a distinction if they have more that one choice. That Steinbug generic thingy got my Cakewalk all upset once, as I already had installed an M-Audio ASIO driver. Steinbug software seems to install that driver along with their demo software for some reason. On a side note, I use ASIO4ALL on my laptop with the on-board Realtek audio chip, but as a tip, I would caution against mixing that one with a real ASIO driver on the same machine as well. Glad you got it sorted!

I've got one of those sitting in a closet. Haven't plugged it in for over 10 years... Virtual instruments FTW! -
We had a CP/M based microcomputer in our ops center in the 80's that was dedicated for some network management tasks. On night shift we would fire up Adventure on that. Seemed amazing at the time... ?

Do you think NI will still be having a 50% off sale this summer?
-
I've got the Cakewalk version and the IK T-RackS version. I think you only need one.
-
I agree. "Moving" Cakewalk applications to another computer, rather than installing can be dicey. Sometimes the Windows registry is involved. So steely-eyed is a must! Moving things around on the same computer is best done with directory junctions. For a new computer, a fresh install is the recommended method.
-
You will need to download and install Rapture Session from the legacy Cakewalk Command Center to get the goods. Atmospheric, Guitars, Keys, Orchestral, and Synths sound banks were available there as individual installers. The thing with most Cakewalk instruments is that they required an installer to get everything lined up, and I never heard of success just copying files to another computer. Rapture Session would also import sound content from Dimension Pro and Rapture classic, if presently installed at the time of Rapture Session install. So you will need to get your new computer all hooked up to Command Center and your old Cakewalk account to access it. Good luck!

Then again, I wouldn't expend too much energy on troubleshooting an audio interface for a $10 plugin, if everything else is working acceptably with it! ? AIR has been notorious lame recently regarding support and bug fixes. Drum Synth 500 originally had an MSRP of $199, but online retailers have been listing it at $129 -$149. Since they appear now to be dumping it for $9.99, I doubt that they have many tech support engineers sitting around to deal with compatibility issues. I realize that may sound cynical, but I have been waiting for several years for usability updates for the AIR instrument collection that I own. Their stuff is a great buy with good sounds, if it works. But it's cheap enough to toss if it doesn't. Good luck!

Not saying anything except those are some very old drivers for that Ultra. I had an old M-Audio FW 410 that I finally retired last year as the last driver version released for that was for Windows 7. It technically would work for me under Windows 10, but I occasionally got BSODs caused by the M-Audio driver. Found this regarding the Ultra drivers. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/download/Fast-Track-Ultra-8R-Drivers

That Xtyles looks great for late night entertainment! Like if you have insomnia, can't sleep, and need something to kill time with until you can go back to sleep... For $11.99 I'm sure it beats counting sheep! ? -
A rounding error, LOL! Maybe yours was a "Sphere" version. I seem to recall my download being around ~250MB. Edit: Just located my Studio One 5.2 installer download file. It is 195,626 KB. Or 195.626 MB, to be precise.

Audiofier Xtyles is 11.99. You save $47. Which side of the fence does that fall into? ? Edit: Full Kontakt 5.8.1+ required. Not for Player. -

I had an issue where I was using my old Sonar templates folder path for CbB, and for some unknown reason after I added a new template, that started causing slow load times in CbB. Solved that by moving all of my templates to the Cakewalk Core path and updated CbB preferences for the template path. Load times back to normal now! So no telling what all Cakewalk is looking for at startup. Probably just try ruling things out.
