Ok, I love coffee. Have a decent (but cheap) espresso maker with a burr grinder. But I had to look up the last one on this list to see what that was about!!

expressor= espresso

arabica= regular cup of coffee

viennois=?

Searching the web I found several different meanings, but mostly all reference a city in France. I did find a few recipes for a type of coffee "bevarage" that required cooking in a slow cooker, and different types of liquor, and heavy cream!! (didn't sound bad! will try it out)

But Zo and Larry, what are ya'll referring to here?

I have been thinking about the BF for a few weeks now. I have so much, but recently got into the Kontak world and don't have very much in the way of libs for it, other than a few third party libs and the ones that came with Kontak ( all all the free Kontrol stuff.) So I thought I would be having a fit trying to decide what to buy. But reading the posts here by Larry and others, I ain't seeing much that's peaking my interest.

I just came into the studio and sat with a cup of coffee to see what was going on, and so I am after a few "No-Brainer" deals!!

Time now to browse the forum.

With Black Friday deals rolling around, I thought about asking this here:

I have been asked by a family member to advise them on what kind of amp can he get that is a tube amp, is around $300 - $400 range, and can get a sound like (this is his description) "Looking for a dropped D , satan clearing his throat, straight from the bowels of hell kinda thing"

Any ideas suggestions where to start looking as far as brands? And the best deal on that amp?

Did you get it working Erik? Not sure Melodyne would work for this. I had forgot about the Loop Construction. But like you said, knowing what key it's in is the hard part!!

Hornet has a program that detects the key of the audio fed into it. But not sure if it would work on a whole song.

Update:

I have the Rode NT 1 in my studio and have hooked it up to my UA Apollo. And I can confidently rule out it's not the mic. In fact I may end up getting one of these if I come across a good deal.

Next question I have is to the Scarlett users. I also have the Scarlett AI in my studio. I want to try it out and make sure it's not having any issues. What I want to know is do I need to register this AI before I can use it? Or can I just install the drivers and test it out that way?

Also, if there are any Mac users that also have a Scarlett, how do you hook the Scarlett to the Mac? This person has an adapter of some sort that allows them to plug the USB Scarlett into the Mac. (Mac's don't have USB?) I am starting to think this adapter is the problem.

I have been looking at this software for a few years now, but have always stayed with Acronis. But lately Acronis has gotten too... dare I say.. bloated? I mean all I want is a good bkup solution that takes a true image of my HD and an easy way to restore that bkup.

I would also like to be able to restore a single file or folder too. But if I can only restore the whole drive, and it's a TRUE image, then I would take that over charging extra for a bunch of BS I don't ever want or even use!
