He's got more patience than I have for sure. I would told some.... well we won't go there!

are tried and trueAgreed. They still stand up to products that were thought to be the best in the business. And some of them surpass these 'great' plugins.

I would love the Hammond. But I will wait for that one.
Larry I was in the same boat. But I took a look at the hardware and I have been looking/wanting the mini iRig keyboard for a while. So I made the jump and with that purchase I am able to get the Libs I want that I don't have.
But as far as the major purchases, I already got them except for the Hammond. So nothing to draw me in there. But here again, (we always keep saying this) for the new user of IK stuff, (they one that ain't spent a dime with them) this is a fantastic deal!!
I also want the Joe Sat stuff, the Space Delay... and that Hammond. I will just have to wait.

But if you can only use them for 30% off, I don't know if we would ever use all of them. (Except Larry, he was in the negative jam points territory at one time!! LOL : ) And boy was he po'd!!) I still have over $150 worth of JP and almost nothing I want to get, yet. And if you can believe this, I forgot to use JP when I bought the iRig Mini!! Bruned my ***** up! I mena... how stupid was that!! LOL!

Please remember to keep politics, how ever small the subject maybe, out of these forums. thank you.
Yes. I know it was harmless, but once we go past the 'Event Horizon' with politics... there's never ever any going back. So we got to keep it ALL out!!!

It works now for me. IK must have cleared the bugs up
I would ask you about Modo Drums getting installed correctly, but I know you passed on that one.
And about Peter, I think we all give him a hard time. Peter works like a professional and just let's all that stuff go. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Good plan. But do keep us posted. I am still waiting to see if you do get it!! : )

haven't taken the to learn it. Maybe tonight.
Yes, I had to read the manual. And experiment. It's a really good saturation plugin that I don't hear much about at all. The ability to blend the 2nd and 3rd order harmonics was a great feature when it came out. But it also has some great ability to adjust the harmonics the way you like. And listen to each solo. And different options to blend them!! I could go on.... : )

it's all about the end user.
Yep.
MS1 & 2 severed my needs very well. To completely dismiss it as a usable product... maybe a stretch. I mean you may not like it or be satisfied with the sounds. But the product you would put out with MS2 would be as good as a lot of stuff out there even though you would not be completely happy with it.

MS2 is worth the money they asking for it. At a sale price is even better.

it is nowhere near the no-brainer price of this one!
Long time ago I bought Vertigo VS3 from a user on this forum, and I paid a lot more for it than this no-brainer price. Vertigo is good stuff.

going in at the lowest level an getting a few Syntronic expansions
This is what I did.
Having almost all of what is on offer, (except B3) I really wasn't too excited at first. But I took a look at the libraries I don't have and then it hit me, I could get that mini keyboard I been eyeing for a while and pick up most (if not all) the libs I don't have. Win Win for me. -

Cost is about half that of the 9980xe.
Yes looking at that now. I was wondering about that. I remember when those other XE processors came out. Whoa!! I thought they were nuts asking that kind of money for a proc.
4 hours ago, Jim Roseberry said:The advantage vs. Threadripper will be better performance at smallest ASIO buffer sizes (because higher clock-speed).
Threadripper is amazing at heavily multi-threaded scenarios (video rendering)... but its Achilles-Heel is trying to work at extremely low latency.
Answered another question I had. I've been reading that the new Threadrippers were beasts also. Was wondering how they matched up to Intel's best.
4 hours ago, Jim Roseberry said:The new 10900k (socket-1200) is turning up the heat on all the above.
- 10 cores
- 20 processing threads
- 5.3GHz clock-speed
- Runs quiet with quality air-cooling
I was looking at this! Not much more ($469) than what I spent on my i9 ($429).
-
@Jim Roseberry Have you run any tests on these yet? What is the biggest benefit for having this CPU? Just raw power? Or helps in a mix? Or is it all about low latency?

Generally it seems that using crossgrade licenses requires you to always have one non-NFR, $99 or above, product in your account, not just at time of upgrade. So especially don't buy something, use that to buy crossgrades, and then accidentally transfer the original. See part (a) here:
Yes, that's the thread I was thinking of.

Before diving in, take this note. It updated correctly, and worked as expected for all my software.... except Modo Drums. Tried three - four times and still Installation failed. Don't have the time to contact support right now. But I will and let them know.

if it's NFR it's possible that it won't be eligible for upgrades - has anybody checked ?
I think you have a point there Simon. Don't hold me to it as I don't know for sure, but IIRC this is the case also. I believe it was changed recently. Or I heard about it recently.

I just tried Product Manager 1.0.1 on my home PC (specs in sig) and it updated AT4 and TR5 to latest versions. And it see that's products are updated.
IOW, worked as expected.
Has a long way to go, but it's a good start... now!!
@Peter - IK Multimedia Suggested additions to Product manager - allow me to see all my product and allow me to decide which version/serial number to use. I have more than one version of Amplitube, and I want to use them. Same way with T-Racks and Sample Tank
[edit] Just updated IK Product manager on my Music PC. Update went fine, up dated AT4 and Modo Bass with no issues. Seems to be working as expected people. Dive in!! Going update the rest of my products.
Also, it did not re-download the installers for all the updates I had already d/l'd. Which is really good!! Progress!

Hi, is it possible to transfert license of a free product of this group to someone else? Thx
As Fleer has already posted, no, it's not possible to transfer a free product to someone else. That free product has a NFR (Not For Resale) license. Which in laymans terms mean you can't do anything with it other than use it yourself.
Workaround, buy the product you want to transfer/give away. Then select as free products the ones you want to keep.
