I agree with ya Fleer!! I went to my CS and tried to buy SampleTank and it brought me to the website every time I clicked on it!! Nope, no soup for you!!
They closed that loophole. From what I can see, they only allow you to use Gear Credits with full priced items. Or only special sales

I could not purchase the Hammond B3, nor MODO Drums, nor MODO Bass.
Not even Sampletank 4 can be ordered in its own Custom Shop.
Gear Credits? Say what?
I think that's why Fleer. Because we are getting a deal with the BOGx, they figured with gear credits it would too much of a deal!! : )

Yes we will make the 3 for 1 deal. But I am skeptical if we will make 4 for 1. We have to get as many registered users as we have now, and that took a month. IK won't extend it for another month I don't think.
But I have been wrong before!!

I didn't know that.
I am serious about this.
I know I joke a lot about it and pull on Larry's chain every chance I get, this is the way it goes.
If all you have is say 5 jam points, and you just sold something that you earned you 50 JP, then you will be -45 JP in your account.
I am not kidding. Ask Larry.
Ole Larry been around!
Dat's why he Da King!! -

whatever Jampoints you received for purchasing said product are taken back when you sell it, regardless of how long ago
the purchase was...And regardless of how many Jam Points you got!! Yep, you can go into the negative Jam Points!! LOL!
Yep they will take them whether you got 'em or not!! Vicious!!
Ask Larry!!! : )

I have a song that I am using EZ Bass on Zo that I use the guitar part, and the drum part to generate some stuff and I mingle them together.. along with stuff that I can find in the EZB library. It's working ok, but it's not easy.
I have another sont that I want to try it out on. I have played the bass part already. Want to convert it to midi and bring that into EZB and see if I can embellish it some.Though it seemed in the beginning that it had lots of potential (and it really does), to get that potential to come out for a finished product takes lots of work. Reminds me of the days I programmed every beat to a song!!!

I've about come to the decision to no longer archive the IK sounds installers. I image my OS and sample drives regularly
I have no problem giving them $10 to open the d/l again if I need. But I have all my important stuff on a drive for the sole purpose of BkUp. All my installs that I need in case I would be limited to internet. I would have to get online to authorize, but not to d/l installers. This is bkup to another drive ( on another computer).
I only image my os drive. I have a new bkup made every month with incrementals in between.
You must understand a lot of these drives (for the moment) are no where near full. But when I built this PC, I did a 'little' planning ahead! LOL! : )

I think we may have reached the limits of what is practical for sampled instruments and storage space in this latest version
Yes I believe so.
You have the sounds themselves, to use in ST4.
Then you got to bkup all that. We talking almost 500gb!! This last PC I built has a few drives in it just for this reason:
1.5tb M.2 drvs
2.5tb SSDs
5tb hds
And I have externally:
16tb WD Elements BkUp. (4tb & 12tb)

The count seemed to be struggling to reach 3 free, let alone the top tier. I wonder if there will be an extension or another sweater?
It will be an extension, they always do.
Sweetener? Not sure about that one. They are already offering everything VI related they put out.
But... I have been wrong before!!

$20 on KVR for Echoes
I was playing around with Echoes last night. With automation, you can get some really nice subtle guitar fx with this thing. Very simple, but high quality as with all Nomad plugins. Forgot to add the vintage sound is killer on guitar!!

I got ST4 Max. ANd there are so many sounds. I just haven't bee through them all. But they do have really good sounding pianos, strings, french horns, worked with those a lot recently. The guitars ain't half bad either!! Oh, and the organs.. love those organ they have.
I do like ST4 pianos sound better that EZ Keys. But I mostly used EZ Keys in this project I am working on. ST4 just hasn't got that human factor that EZ Keys got going. I came up with the part in ST3, then dropped that midi in EZ Keys and man, what a difference. It sounded like a person was playing it.
For my limited skill set in composing any type of orchestration, ST4 Max has all my bases cover and then some. Add Syntronik with all those great synths, I am in hog heaven! Never thought I would have so many sounds available to me.BTW, the only NI product I own is GR5.

IK VI Group Buy
in Deals
Posted
I am ok that I can't use Gear Credits in this group buy. And now that I think about it, and read the above statement that Tom posted, I don't think I have ever been able to use JP and GC in the same purchase. I tried before.
I am thinking IK figures if you bought GC. You used JP to get a deal that way, and are not entitled to get another break on the price.
Seems fair to me. But maybe I don't see all the angles.
Anyway... 2 more days and over 1k users to go!! IK would have to be very generous to make this go all the way!!
