Introducing Tai Chi v1.5 – a free update for all Tai Chi and Tai Chi Lite users which brings significant enhancements for reverb and synthesiser enthusiasts. Tai Chi v1.5 now includes three powerful new facilities, all taking inspiration from classic reverb designs with a modern twist: A unique Unison Chorus technology that brings a stunning unison like effect to the reflection engine – it is perfect for fattening up classic analog / virtual analog synths and brings an extra dimension to your library of loops and stems (available in Tai Chi & Tai Chi Lite) Two new high density nonlinear reflection modes capable of providing a short, sharp apparition of heavy reverberation that is ideal for snares and fast synth lines that need a burst of dense ambience that will not swamp a mix with long decays (available in Tai Chi & Tai Chi Lite) A new shimmer reverb control perfect for adding glistening, harmonically rich overtones reminiscent of the classic shimmer sounds of the 1980s that you can easily dial into any of your favourite Tai Chi presets (available in Tai Chi only) In this article we first take a whistle stop tour of the sound of Unison Chorus and nonlinear reflections on a collection of DAW loops. We then deep dive into the shimmer reverb enhancements, and finally examine in detail how all three features can work together to transform even the simplest of synth stabs. https://www.liquidsonics.com/2024/08/27/tai-chi-v1-5-featuring-unison-chorus-shimmer-and-nonlinear-reflections/

Here's a nice one. Tired of looking for the perfect rotary speaker emulation? We sampled the sound of a 1957 tone wheel organ playing through a spinning rotary speaker, using a classic drawbar setting (688600000) popular in Rock, Prog, and Jazz. And we've released it in three formats: Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher (full version) Decent Sampler (free) Compatible with Mac, Windows, iPad and iPhone. Sf2 format optimized for Dexibell Vivo keyboards. Recorded with and without the organ's chorus/vibrato scanner. 2nd and 3rd Percussion samples included. Real Rotor Organ was fun to create, and it's loads of fun to play. Download it and enjoy. Sound Recording would typically be the mastered versions. Using the SR form you could register up to 10 titles as a 'Group Unpublished Works' & claim the underlying music as well as the recorded material..you pay the fee, upload the files ( wav, flac) & when its registered they'll send you the certificate. This saves you a bit $, one filing for both.. You could also file using the PA form for the underlying music only, then an SR when the masters are finished. 2 separate filings. This way If you release a remaster or different mix versions you still have claim to copyrighted music (PA) The you'd file an SR for the new recordings. Depends on your situation, published artist or hobbyist. You can do this online & register at the eCO. https://eservice.eco.loc.gov/

The Secrets Of Pink Floyd’s Quadraphonic PA - Some Music History

Nice, I was at the '73 Olympia Stadium / Detroit show. The quad panning combined with the visuals & effects were stellar. -
Thanks Noel, looking forward to it.

Testing Sonar & wondering if it's now possible to have long throw faders in console/mixer view instead of the tiny ones shown in the pic. Like previous versions when I remove all the other modules the empty remains & they don't/ can't expand. Is there a setting somewhere in this new version or any plans to change it in the future? It's impossible for me to use them this way in a real mixing environment.

Pertaining to this topic it keeps the studio separate from the mixing area. No need to worry about turning off any hp / room correction software monitored but not wanting rendered. ( or any tools monitored over speakers like clicks, metronomes, talkback, metering, scopes, referencing) No need to import or make templates, use of simple presets to quickly load up different studio environments or routing scenarios.

BTW does the new Sonar have a dedicated Control Room feature yet?

New Sonar pricing: how about a Senior discount price?

Determine loudest/peak level in MULTIPLE tracks?
hsmusic replied to minminmusic's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
If you happen to have Cubase installed use the 'stats' feature. 40 tracks would take a minute or 2 depending on your computer, comes in handy. -
To my ears the vocals have a Paul Simon quality to them that fits the tune nicely.
-
Listening & enjoying the track, structure & groove..The mix sounds nice on my cans too, balanced & full.
-
Enjoyed the groove & playing on this. Mix sounding nice in my cans as well. The snare does pop but a bit dry, I could also hear more of acoustic patch to match the style.
-
I like this introduction & the sounds used to set the stage for an upcoming series. Nice on the ears, enjoyed it.

It's 4-track stereo tape on my Sony TC-560
-
I had 2 copies of that lp, I glued the lenticular off one onto my Jr. High notebook. I still have this 4-track tape with the lenticular cover. I think I was the only one that liked this album back then...not considered to be one of their better releases..

I tried this a few months ago actually preferred the atoms mixes over the stereo ones when comparing them in regular stereo phones. Does anyone know if new Sonar is Atmos feature ready? I have several daws that already are.

To me when the drums kick in it's dragging a bit..could be a bit of latency if recorded in real time.. Don't mind my ears, imagers or aural exciters do it to me..the high end, a kind of phase & balance effect. I wouldn't sweat it if sounds good to you or others..again great tune.
