Did you confirm the newsletter subscription, Larry? It says the license code is generated once you do that. Just got mine.

Couldn't agree more, Zo (about everything you said!?). I said much the same on the user group forum on Facebook (the ONLY reason I have to go to Facebook). The rigs are OK but they shouldn't walk away from the core offerings - way too much competition out there. I think there's some good stuff coming in a few days. But don't quote me on it.

Having spent the last 7 years as a marching band parent and getting 3 girls to college (yeah, my profile pic is from '08!!) I would see a lot of kids struggling with old instruments, dog-eared sheet music, and plenty of other obstacles to just learning music. I didn't see as many kids moving on to study music at university but there were a few. Private scholarships always went to the BA or engineering students, the ***** lauds, and the usual progression of awards that didn't require a lot of thought in the actual giving. In Terry's case, his handle was "Musical" and he was in the process of raising three little ones himself. I'd love to see our gift support a local kid or kids that share the same love for music that it seems Terry did. I just had this whimsical thought that maybe we donate the $$$ to a local middle or high school musical program in his city, it gets airplay through the local news, and Terry's family see it and recognize who it is in honor of. Not in favor of cancer research charities. I have a feeling that money rarely supports the actual research.

The more I've played with AT5 and compared it to PA Brainworx and THU, I'm not as enthusiastic as I was the week it came out. There are some massive improvements and its won me over in a few areas (Fenders & Leslie) but I'm back to my old habits and REALLY looking forward to this THU release next week.

Having experienced a little taste of something similar with my dad dying last month, I can imagine no one there has their eyes on the Forum (or much else) under the circumstances. If there's any hope of contacting Terry or next of kin, I'd rather keep our assistance on stand-by. They can use the help no matter what has or had not transpired. I still shake my head when I read the original post....?

I'll get this even if I have to bake cookies and wash cars. In Detroit. In January.

Funny how there’s at least a half dozen new listings for Neural plug-ins on KVR right now, and at least a couple mention they’re selling so they can pick up Gojira. Yeah, I think they nailed this one, especially.
-
Not a word, Larry.
-
Ola Englund has a brand new walk-through on his channel and does a great job showing the potential versatility of this package.
-
It's upwards of 15 - 17% on my system, Zo, but I'm not running a particularly advanced system so I expect this out of Neural plugins. I gotta say this one is definitely different when it comes to high gain tones - I keep thinking I've got both the OD and Distortion pedals activated when neither actually are. It's a ton of fun and when I realized I forgot to turn off the overdrive, the clean tones became, well, very clean. Effects are awesome as usual. I wouldn't shell out this much cash for a relatively narrow amp suite, but it is SO tempting.
-
This thing is a beast. No pure clean tones which is a deal breaker for me but I've not heard gain like this in an amp sim before. The lead amp actually pairs nicely (and much differently!) with all three cabs. Going to dive in more over the weekend. This is my first full weekend at home since Thanksgiving so I have a ton of catching up to do.
-
I emailed him last night about helping price some of his software and have not heard back. ? We're keeping him in mind at my house having recently lost my dad last month quite quickly, too.

And 32X oversampling. There's going to have to be another color beyond red in my resource meters.

Announcing AmpCraft by Shane McFee January 14, 2021 Kazrog is proud to announce its forthcoming amp modeling plugin line, AmpCraft. Each AmpCraft plugin will emulate a specific guitar or bass amp, along with a collection of pedals, cabinets, and mics. As with all Kazrog plugins, each plugin will support Mac and Windows operating systems, and VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats. Standalone app versions will also be provided. First to be released in the series will be AmpCraft - 1992, an emulation of one of the most celebrated high gain amps of all time. While this release is focused on the modern high gain player, subsequent AmpCraft plugins will emulate a wide range of amps spanning all eras and styles of electric guitar - including some rare and vintage amps that have never been emulated before. While the amp modeling space is increasingly crowded, AmpCraft has several core priorities that set it apart from other modelers: Touch sensitive dynamics - AmpCraft models are highly detailed, and respond to the pick attack and dynamic nuance of the player. Versatile tone controls - All controls of each real-world amplifier are emulated. Detailed pedal emulations - Sculpt your tone with a variety of modern and vintage overdrives. Extensive cabinet IR library - Each AmpCraft plugin will include an IR library with a wide range of cabinets and mics represented, for more tonal variation on tap than is typically found included with an amp modeling plugin. Additionally, AmpCraft offers: Noise gate Adjustable input and output level adjustment Preset A/B functionality Up to 32x oversampling AmpCraft builds upon Kazrog's core legacy in guitar software products, which began with the critically acclaimed Thermionik and Recabinet. AmpCraft - 1992 is slated for a Q1 2021 release. Subsequent AmpCraft plugins will follow throughout 2021 and beyond. Specific pricing and more details will be announced soon, but rest assured, special upgrade pricing for Thermionik and Recabinet owners will be honored. https://kazrog.com/blogs/news/announcing-ampcraft?fbclid=IwAR0u5W0-nzdwCH2XcrqC0chu3qwEMxL5-T6KWQM8BXzurcPFTv0qmBfDm3s Hurry up already!!!!

Thanks a ton for calling this out. Didn't even think to see if Klang are sold through Plugin Boutique. I'll gladly take Carbon Electra while feasting on Klang Freeze. -
Carbon Electra FREE With any Purchase at Plugin Boutique
Marc Cormier replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
LOVE the Klang libraries. I'm having an existential crisis over here as they're only 5 euro and I'd much rather grab one of those that I know I'll use vs. something for $5 just to get Carbon Electra, which I don't know if I'll use. It might not be a lot of money but it all adds up...both the $$$ and the Gb. -
Sorry if it's been asked already but can vouchers be used to pay activation fees? If so, I'd be willing to put any unused voucher to use...
-
Nothing here. Spent more in ‘20 than previous years, too.

Picked up the Brainworx Friedman BE100 $19 at the bell. Holy cows, does it sound good. Their amp sims have gotten better over time but still some silly UX improvements desperately needed like a workable delay (if they still insist on including one) and rebuilding their signal chain browse that currently makes AT4's look like a walk in the park. At least with the Friedman, you can disable the signal chain in lieu of outside IRs with one click.

It's a huge leap between V2 and 5.X - that seems like a crazy good deal to me if you have an older version. I'm sticking with 4.6 but you've got a TON more to gain with that updated, Husker.

Plugin Alliance $20 Surprise Voucher can be used AGAIN!

Just worked for me - ENGL Savage 120 for $14.99. -
I ran into a huge spot of good luck scoring K12 Select upgrade to K12U CE for $320 USD this fall and it updated to K13U CE for free!!!! That price alone is most of the "why" but in reality, I was just shopping for Kontakt 6 and couldn't justify NOT pouncing on the listing when it showed up while browsing KVR. Came with original receipt AND the gentleman shipped me the hard drive. That was the best...until Amplitube 5, which I will surely use more often than the 5.5% of what I'll use that comes in K13U CE.
-
Amplitube 5 is here - Release Date 15/12/20 or 16/12/20

You know, I TOTALLY overlooked that, having so much fun with VIR. Could sound even better! Thanks for the reminder! -
Aside from last year's IK Group Buy (the buy one, get over dozen free software maelstrom) I would have to agree with you!

We're neighbors! I'm in Livonia! Somehow the rest of the Forum triangulated our locations so I could send in the SWAT team when you went dark in the summer. Actually, it was kind of nice during those weeks to not make up stories for why I needed plugins I clearly had no long-term plans to use. As soon as you came back, though, I immediately set out to buy more hard drives. Merry Christmas, Larry!
