  1. Closest I ever came to anyone in Pink Floyd was meeting Bob Geldof before sun up at an empty cafe, trackside at Paddington Station. He invited my colleague and I over, saying "I don't want to read this bloody paper all by myself!" It might not have been Waters, but it was Geldof.
  2. Not sure if this is relevant at this point, but just got this email from SSL: We've updated our user accounts system Reactivate your account by resetting your password. The SSL user account system has been updated and integrated with the new SSL eStore to improve services including offers and promotions, providing an enhanced online shopping experience. To access your SSL user account within the new system, reset your password (HERE) and follow the on-screen instructions. 3. Sorry - I shouldn't have gone nuclear on you like that, Peter!!! I'll second the vote re: Rush but it's a tie with Floyd.
  4. Voucher reset. Flanger is mine.
  5. I'll second that. I had BE-100 for months and it can easily handle hard rock/metal but it can do a ton more. It didn't have that classic rock warmth to my ear and I was looking for something lower gain/clean but warm tones and the DS-40 was exactly what I was looking for - I picked it up last night. Between the two Friedman amps you cover a TON of possibilities.
  6. Just did the same. So glad I did - it's superb. Really hoping for another reset. Got the ADA Delay but wish I'd opted for the flanger. First World Problems.
  7. Your wallet seems to be implying that you can still live, at least in part, by satisfying your GAS problem. It doesn't tell you what the split should be so I think you're OK.
  8. Good luck Larry. Teach those budding deal-spotters your secrets while their minds are impressionable. Get out of Detroit before we're flooded out!!!!!!
  9. Just used my points and got the upgrade from Free for $12. Does anyone know if you need to delete the existing install of the Free Bundle in order to install the upgraded version? Never mind - the installer has a Cleanup tool and activation is at the plugin level. Thought of everything.
  10. Us, too, Larry - Farmington & 6 Mile was out for a while but that’s like a weekly occurrence in the summer. Glad you got some love from DTE. Underpromise and overdeliver as they say…
  11. I had this for a couple of weeks after BF and it was overall a good experience. I compared Captain Plugins at the same time. I ended up returning both (they both have a 30-day money-back guarantee). Captain required the app to constantly "check in" with its pattern database at the developer site to render new patterns and would not activate unless the connection was live. Showstopper for me. Orb on the other hand was too limited in the scales it supported at the time. It's a really cool concept though, and the synth is much better to my ear than Captains plugins. If I picked up one again, it would be Orb. And I may do that again with this sale, hoping for an update that broadens the available scales. Both developers were really gracious with the return process and simply asked why I was asking for a refund. They were equally appreciative for the feedback and the Orbians said they're working on expanding what was missing.
  12. Just updated Amp Room and the new models sound really good. All of the amp views can now be expanded, too. CPU hit is still high when splitting signal paths but basic pedal-amp-post FX-cab hit is about the same as Amplitube on my set up.
  13. It's like EQs: you gotta have 17 of 'em. But this is only for those who have 16 or fewer reverbs.
  14. LOVE. THIS. REVERB. Easy to slap on an instrument track, easy to dial in the effect you want, tons of presets. It might not always be on the final mix but it's good value. I think I got it for less during a giveaway on Plugin Boutique but this is the lowest I've seen since then.
  15. I bit on the SPL Transient Designer for that very reason and I *think* they pull these very features out to create the spin-offs you mentioned. I haven’t used the spin-offs so I can’t vouch for the “exactly” part of your question but they’re leveraging the same tech in the spin-offs.
  16. It was (is) a bit of a disaster although there are more users getting past the hurdles every day, myself included. It's a great option to upgrade still at $49 and they've released several updates so far. Drew did say they'd find a way to get the sound library for BFD2/London Sessions to existing users but I haven't kept track of that part of the conversation. Yup - SD3 is clipping along but the new pricing for BFD3 expansions - with half off on top of it - is a good deal. Still prefer the sound of BFD3 to SD3 but the toolkit Toontrack put together is just unbeatable right now.
  17. Glad I didn't pick up Inflator during the sale that just ended...even better price through this sale.
  18. On the other hand, I don't see nearly as much reason to upgrade from 13CE to 14CE if it's announced...not much released this year unless I'm missing something....
  19. Confirming now that the “CC” in CCLarry stands for “credit card” cos that’s what I pull out every time I come here.
