I tried to install Syntronik 2 on my offline PC where I have already Syntronik 1 and the sounds installed. I managed to install and authorize Syntronik 2 CS, but the synth sounds are all unauthorized, but they are in Syntronik 1! Lately I had also an issue to install Orchestral Percussion. I have no sound download link for that in my account and thus no idea how to install it (offline!). I am waiting now for a support response since the 25 november. More and more I am done with IK and such giants that make installation and authorization so troublesome! It's really a waiste of life time! "Musicians first" is absolutely an irony! ?

Nevertheless a lot of people joke about us, that do not want to be online all the time! But I am 100% sure the best way to have no malware is to be offline and not to have the latest software (even with W7)! That's why I prefer software that can be easily offline activated!

Please share your thoughts. The ultimate objective of Black Friday for me is....

Most of the plugins/software I am interested in was not a good deal, i.e. the discount was less than at other occasions. There are also some developers that were spartan with their deals (e.g. PSP). But there were also a lot of plugins and loop libraries that don't have my interest. Last but not least I have to pay 25% tax in some shops (Europe!) that makes some deals also uninteresting. Also high prices in general reduced the budget available for Black Friday! -
I wonder especially why this should be an APD lightning deal? It has been available for this as base price before.

For me this was the sadest Black Friday! There was almost nothing that raised my interest. Some of the few good deals I had already! ☹️ But for my wallet this was the greatest Black Friday though! ? -
God, give us plugins with manual installation and free us from those malicious installers! ?

I found a behavior change with the new bounce-to-tracks dialog that is a bit annoying IMO: If you use a preset and change some values, then it runs as you want it. But when you open the bounce dialog again to redo with the same settings, then all values are reset to the preset and the changed values are lost! In earlier versions of Sonar/Cakewalk the changed values were retained and I found this convenient! Like that it was not necessary to have dozens of presets!

I almost never use synth basses ... and yes, my judgement was/is primarily based on the presets! ?
-
This has been the worst purchase since a long time for me! ? ☹️ I have quite a number of synths, even free ones, and most of them sound 1000 times better than this one (at least if I compare the presets). IMO this seems to be more a noise machine than an instrument! But YMMV!

But there are not many!

Who needs chords ....? ?

^this! I wonder what they do during product installation, it takes sooo much time! The download runs in a reasonable time period, but then wtf did they program in the installation process???? And it is strange, if you install a library manually and use Native Access only for authorisation it runs quickly! They must have a terrible unpacker software, maybe from the stone age?

+1 But I like especially Klanghelm's SDRR. I have now so many saturators, exciters and alike: 28! Is that not enough? ?

That's true, it is the same sxxx ! If all plugin vendors used such stupid shells, then the plugin scanning would be minimum 10 times slower! I saw the impact of the Presonus shell on my laptop where I tested some of their plugins. Plugin scanning got sooooo slow just with one shell and it's happening always, even if you do not add/change some of their plugins. This alone is a reason not to use plugins with shells! The other thing is that plugin organisation has a lot of issues with shells!

This is a reasonable price, for this I would also update. But as I only have RX7 ... ☹️

(not a deal) T-RackS Tascam Tape Collection now available

Sxxx, now you have exposed me! ? You could not have better described me! But I have to add that those days my skills were not only bad, there were almost no skills at all! -

It seems the Tascam multitrack tape recorders are missing! In 1984 I had bought a Tascam 38 8-track half inch recorder. Later I complemented it with 2 Tascam dbx noise reduction units, a Tascam M-208 mixer and a Tascam 32 tape recorder for mastering. The sound, but also the tape consumption (1/2 inch tape, 15 ips) was awesome! -
It seems there is not a lot of new stuff in the RX Standard version. I have RX7 Standard and IMHO the $99 update price is quite steep compared to the improvements! I think I will skip!
-
I can recommend the Restoration Suite 2. When I made a comparison with the corresponding RX plugins some time ago, I found that they are on the same level and one plugin (Acon DeClip or DeClick) was even better IMO, i.e. it delivered clearly a better result on my test case. Another thing to consider: The Acon Digital plugins do have a real offline autorisation key (no internet required at all, even no 2nd PC with internet!). By the way I could not resist to grab this deal with my monthly voucher!
-
Okay, there are some companies that deliver plugins that initially need some fixing (no careful development? ?). But as far as I can see with the plugins I have (a lot!): Those ones that have not been updated for a long time are very stable and resource- friendly, whereas the other ones (recently really! updated) often tend to eat a lot of resources and often introduce new bugs! Thus you can count me to the first kind of folks! ?
-
I still hope that one day they (Waves) dispose of their cumbersome shell (seems not in v13)! As long as they keep their plugins shellized I will stay Waves free (the handfull plugins that I have are almost never used)!
-
It's only some lashing, nothing more! ?
-
I also wonder how it compares to AudioThing's Outer Space! Anyway, Cherry Audio is dead for me! They don't have any offline authorisation, regrettably (was interested in some of their synths)!

IMHO the best bass amp sim I have ever bought!
