Are We Entering The Age Of Bullshit Plugins? ?
GTsongwriter replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I don't go searching for sample libraries, unless I need a certain instrument that I don't have... Line Saxophone or French Horn... As far as Drum sets, once you have one, you can change how it sounds to be anything you want. -
Dude... that's suppose to be a secret sale. Now your giving away secrets, which actually hurts the dev from making money.

If your an anonymous You-tuber that never takes money from any company, be it free product, money, etc., what can the developer do? If they send you a threatening email (If they could figure it out your email address), you could show that to your users as proof of your being threatened by stating your own opinions. In reality, you could also show proof of purchase (without showing your personal details / product activation codes). I'm trying to figure out the best way to start this for myself... I have a channel ready to go... I could start my own product reviews, but I want to prove to the public I'm not a paid influencer. How would you best do that? -
Can't go wrong with White Sea Studio
-
The only way they could make Sonible Smart EQ better is if they somehow figured out how to add Rotate feature that crashes my computer when I try to use FUSER by Mastering the Mix. I was so hoping to buy the 2 for 1 package ..,. but tried it out and crash after crash after crash.

If you buy a product or test a trial version of that product and give your honest review, can you still be sued or "pressured to remove the bad review" (if so, pressured how?) -

FUSER $59: New "Smart Unmasking" Plugin from Mastering The Mix
GTsongwriter replied to mibby's topic in Deals
How did we go from FUSER to RESO? Yes, the two plugins are similar (other than FUSER crashes Reaper DAW users when you use the Rotate Feature). -

White Noise Studio is clearly a paid influencer, right? -

The only issue with Native Access to 2 is in order to install older products, you'll have to reinstall the older Native Access to do so. -

I thought about reviewing products I've already bought and upload to a YouTube channel. I would hate to be influenced by a plugin developer's money because then I'll be forced to say mostly good things and have to ask if I can let others know about any bad things I find. That kind of babysitting isn't worth it for me. I would love getting free plugins or newly developed plugins from plugin makers I've already vested money into, but personally I wouldn't trust any new plugin developers, because they could be mischievous and create a virus or malware product to harm my computer. You do know that plugins CAN harm your computer just like any other program. Even though they are a "plugin", they execute like a program (other than another program is executing them), they have all the functions and abilities just like a regular program. There's no sandbox or anything. I've written my own plugins using Delphi, but others mainly use C++. Since my programming sucks, I wouldn't recommend anyone use my plugins or buy them for now. Plugins are as hazardous as a normal program is and you shouldn't just download any plugin as if it was safe. That's another reason I don't use free plugins! -

Wow! Either you had an AI write that for you or you have a lot to say. That's a lot to read and like... Sorry, but I'll have to read it later, if that's okay? -
I own it, but is it better than Mastering the Mix Reference 2?

I'm still waiting on a plugin that calculates PDC for plugins like Reaktor. -
Okay.,. installed and tried it out.. Crashes in my Reaper DAW 3.81 when ever I use the Rotate feature that I was hoping to see work. It crashes repeatably, so yeah... this isn't a plugin ready for production.
-
Now it's hanging on unpacking Windows\System32\libiomp5md.dll what gives?
-
Wow, for 102 mb it took 1 hour to install!! Hanging 20-30 minutes between each plugin download using 0-0.1% CPU during the hanging which makes me think it's waiting on a website response before doing the next task?? I hope this wait time is worth it!
-
The Trial installation is SLOW! ... It hangs for like 20-30 minutes after to select stuff to install... then it downloads 1 of them, hangs for 10-20 minutes, and repeats... I wonder why in the world is it hanging for so long?
-
What should I get as the 2nd plugin... cause I'm like, the main reason I dont have any other Mastering the Mix plugins is because I have plugins that do it better than those, except.. I don't have any referencing plugins other than AudioLens, which I don't use.

I've got Sonible Smart EQ3 and you can setup groups, and have it do the same thing with ducking EQ automatically to make room for other instruments. After watching the videos... I think the phase implementation may make it worth it.. What will be the best free plugin?
-
I've got Smart EQ 3 ... whats the difference between it and Pure EQ? it was answered above
-
I'm waiting for the plugin they was suppose to do... for it was suppose to be able to measure the PDC between plugins and output the actual PDC, but this has not yet happened and its been months since I last heard about it.
